Never got service as their communication on installation was awful. I set an install date , but weeks before the cable install crew showed up, unannounced, and started working in my yard. I sent them home. Apparently Ting has no control over those contractors, but in reality Ting is just lazy and don't bother to time their subs based on the set date of install. Just Lazy ! Don't need to start a relationship with a company that is this lame with understanding customers's needs. read more

Ever since my last review, my service has greatly improved. I changed my rating to 4, and not 5, because it did take too long to get it cleared up. I truly hope they get back to the way things were running when they were basically a start-up. read more

I'm a customer who was affected by an internet outage in Holly Springs, NC April 8-9. I'm writing just to thank all of the on-site personnel who worked diligently to make the extensive repairs as quickly as possible as well as those who provided informative and timely notifications that kept customers like myself in the loop. Initially was excited to have Ting, but after weeks of trying to get it set up, we are still without internet. We've needed to call a mechanic or whatever it's called 3 times to come and "fix" the issue, but it was never resolved. Only reason why It's not a 1 star is because I haven't tested the actual internet itself, so if that's terrible then I'm changing my review. read more

Ting Internet reneged on their agreement to fix my lawn. I don't like companies that lie. I'm not surprised but thought they might do the right thing. They claim the grass grew back. The areas dug up are still dirt. They don't leave your lawn the way it was found and they do not care. read more

Spectrum sucks so we made the switch to Ting. We purchased our own router since you can get better ones for cheaper and we also got a range extender for upstairs. This internet service is reliable and it was installed in a timely manner. I recommend this fiber internet company if it's available in your area. read more

We removed spectrum due to the cost of the internet and as always with spectrum they make offers as a last ditch effort to keep the customer. Spectrum offered the same price as TING but we went with TING to try, however, we are considering switching back if these issues continue. First off after talking with the person on the install team and how they will send a follow up email and we can reply with any questions/concerns. I emailed the support team member responsible for our setup and I never received a reply on concerns about setup/lawn digging etc... they gave a time/day they would be at our house so I could also be home but the installation crew showed up two weeks early and never contacted the owner about showing up this early? The lawn was not severely damaged which is a plus but to not contact the homeowner is a negative impact with what was said and what really happens. Second, I called to give them the email/name of the person that recommended TING and I was told we will have no bill due the next month although the following month it will start deducting the monthly amount. That was not true because they billed us. Again, told one thing and it's not true.... see where I'm going with this? Third, I called support/billing and this person said he can't see the information on his system and this is with the sales team? Frustrated with all of this BS with TING they transferred me to the sales team and during the switch the phone signal was lost/hung up? I called back and got the sales team to explain the issue and the person with sales team said they don't work on this type of issue? Again, it's not what I was told minutes prior with the first person! I was transferred again and got someone which could look up the information. It was mentioned we would receive a free month but it's the following month? Again, not what I was originally told. The person said they take out this month to make sure the cc will go through? Lastly, the speed check (ting.com/speedtest) shows the speed very slow like 500/100? But with a separate speed test site it shows anywhere from 500/500 - 600/600? Hardwire into TING Modem and the speed is close to what they offer. It's understood the wireless will have a reduced speed, but the inconsistent testing from TING is eye raising. Our nighthawk wireless is a good system that shows a higher speed 600/500 roughly. Anyway, so far we are not impressed with TING as it's not been consistent from what we were told to what's actually happened. read more

I've had it for 2 weeks and love it. I had Spectrum for 3 days before realizing they're like every cable provider I've ever had (ATT, Verizon, DISH, Charter, Time Warner) where the connection bounces between speeds, I get random disconnects, and the service hella sucks. I can't afford to be dropping off video calls so I switched and haven't had a drop since or any performance issues. Kudos to Susan who walked me through the process and provided clear information on how they'd install, big into the driveway, etc. For the yard destroyed folks, I get they messed up but the performance and uptime is still good right? For the wifi folks, it sounds like wifi issues not the line. You need gig support equipment. For the router folks, I just got an eero which is what they recommend. If you get a router that can do network monitoring then Ting should be able to fix it unless the line runs through an apartment burrow of gophers. I know that no one really needs a full gig unless you're running an sweatshop mining crypto, but it's does feel better knowing you have a direct fiber line instead of sharing your connection with half the neighborhood. read more

Recently travelled to NY in the States. Put in my Ting mobile sim and boo,! Connected immediately to the internet and got a US phone number! Great for my short stay in NY. Phone line was clear and worked flawlessly, Customer support chat was immediate when cancelling before my flight back overseas. Very helpful! I have used H20 Wireless on my short US trips once per year. Ting was super easy to set up. Did it in the airport 1,2 3. Highly recommend. read more

quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. never told me that they were going to come , Sprinklers power, and fuel line all hit when these morons trenched in fiber. best part is they refused to come make it safe until the weekend was over. You can tell that they don't care about the quality of their work. they left trash. The install quality was disastrous. I'm sure they use subcontractor and they don't follow up. Their concerns for safety are probably about the same quality so I'd be careful letting them on your property. I recognize good Customer service is a thing of the past, but these guys are outrageously bad. read more

Had high speed internet installed back in October. Called on a Saturday and spoke to a very nice lady at their call center in Canada. The scheduling of service was very easy and the experience for the customer service install portion was exceptIonal. Installation was very professional. A group of gentlemen from Ting came out and did a very good job with the installation. The line was buried the same day. Very professional and knowledgeable crew. The 1gig internet service is very reliable, fast and consistent. So glad that Ting was an available internet option for us. Highly recommend. read more

I will go ahead and be a trendsetter and deviate from the poor reviews and give 5 stars. Everyone that has ever had Time Warner/Spectrum knows that their services are trash. Customer service doesn't exist, always losing internet connection, having to turn the router off and on multiple times and the list goes on and on.... We got Ting to relieve us of dealing with the Hell that is Time Warner/Spectrum. Once our neighborhood got the fiber placed in our yard, it took no time for us to have better internet for a lower price than Spectrum. It took Ting forever to drop a fiber line in our neighborhood, but when they did, they dug up our front yard and placed the line. Once they finished you could barely tell they had done anything to the ground. Then my wife and I decided to buy a new home and would need to have Ting place a new line. Between Liam and Paul with customer service assisting me with everything. They even contacted the current owner of the home to get permission to begin placing the fiber at the house. Then we got the bad news that even with the permission of the homeowner, it would take 3-4 weeks before we would have internet. Our move was only 4 days away at this time. During the week of our move, I contacted Ting Internet to see where we were in the set up stages. Liam told me that we our still too far out to get internet by the time we move into the new home. Once we moved into the new home, Paul contacted me saying that technicians had already gotten the area ready for the fiber to be dropped and had scheduled a technician to come and get our internet up and running. When I found out I'd only have to wait 2-3 hours for a technician to arrive instead of 2-3 weeks, I was overjoyed. Not only were we getting our internet, but the technician called me to see if he could come earlier than the scheduled time. HELL YES you can sir, and Seth and Josh came and got our internet up and running before I could returned from an appointment. We left spectrum knowing that the prices would be lower and hoping the service would be exceptionally good. Something isn't quite right with our WiFi. We have had two different routers and we're still having problems. I've made several calls I'm over this reset the router daily. Note: only issues with the WiFi not anything plugged into the router. We have had all kinds of internet providers over the years. We switched from spectrum business class to Ting. The internet connection is good but the customer service and response time when we had an outrage was over the top bad. We were out at 9am and there was no system outage in the area. We called over and over and never got a person to answer the phone. Hours of attempts. We reached out and sat on hold for over an hour at a time saying we were the next in line. With no outrages on the area mind you. We had to Leave a callback request and 5 hours later we got a call back. We tried reaching online and they text chat. The response was to call because they had no available Reps. And no one answered the phone so what are we supposed to do ? Spectrum has people answering and they respond immediately. The cost is higher but I'm beginning to see there is value in that. Just know that once they have you as a customer they don't care about you. And there is no way to report your outage. I've had ting for almost a year and like another user I have had two routers, the first obviously the Ting one and the second is a very highly rated router. Still issues! I've called and emailed so many times I just gave up because it's always one excuse after another. I have an open floor plan and my home is average size so it's not the size of my home or walls etc impeding the signal. Our TVs buffer at least a few times every day or are fuzzy! It's crazy but good and I'm beyond frustrated. Other companies were more expensive or their customer service was lacking but at least I could watch my TV or use my laptop and not have dropped signal every day! read more

Amazing customer service! Last month, we lost internet connection while working and doing remote learning at home. Ting not only acknowledged this on our bill ($25 off), but also sent a coupon for a free pizza! No other internet service provided would dream of doing this. Customers for life! Great internet but be careful of the installation crew they made damages to my lawn and Ting is unwilling to repair it. If they just fixed the damages they would have five stars but unfortunately they dont undetstand the meaning of true customer service. read more
