Deck Screening/staining and repainting project - Abandoned after 12 months…read more He claimed to be a "master carpenter", and showed some pictures of completed jobs, but here, he did not deliver on-time, quality work, In fact, the job NEVER was completed, with him abandoning it after 12 months, leaving significantly more expense required, than the 20% remaining due on the project. Due to his ill-thought, un-documented design, poor implementation, and haphazard execution, there was significantly more cost still remaining to finish the job, correct his mistakes, and clean up from the messes he made. He tried unsuccessfully to hand off the remaining work to anyone who would take it for the remaining 20% still due. But there was so much rework, no one wanted it because it was going to require much more cost/expense to finish. During the course of 12 months, he had excuse after excuse for being late, missing work days/weeks at a time .. Claims that he sent texts to tell me of planned late arrival, but could never show the logs that they were, he had Covid 3 times in the course of 6 months, and was allergic to Covid boosters (taking days off in advance of, and after each booster), saying he expected to have these allergic reactions . He had vehicle issues, interruptions from other jobs, emergency callouts by police in the middle of the night to replace broken store windows. By then it was winter 2021. When he finally resumed work in the spring 2022, he then said he fell off a roof, injuring his wrist, and would no longer be able to finish the job. In actuality, he never worked more than 2 days in week, and almost never worked more than 2 consecutive weeks, ultimately leading to the results listed above. His excuses which, taken individually, might seem plausible on their own, told a different story when considered together. He was in way over his head, and didn't have the competency, labor, and organizational and carpentry skills to execute the committed tasks. Whereas he may be able to replace windows, serious carpentry was way outside his wheelhouse, because it required organization, skill and reliability to deliver a job on-time, skills he doesn't possess.

We just completed a bathroom remodel that included a level entry shower for which Steve provided a…read moreframeless enclosure. As reported by the other reviewer, Steve does really top quality work; the finished item is everything we hoped. In addition to the actual work, I want to stress how valuable the consulting and advice was that Steve gave us. First of all, he had no hesitation in coming to our house when the shower construction, which I did myself, was at the stage that the shower base had been installed and the next step was to install the cement backer board on the two walls. (Many companies won't come out until all the tiling is done and they can make final measurements.) We talked about the best location for the two attachment points of the fixed panel and the door, the best orientation of the shower set and the transition from floor tile to shower tile, this being level entry. This was a huge help to me. So, I think the quality of the finished shower owes almost as much to his excellent advice as to his craftsmanship. Finally, Steve seems to have stepped up his game with respect to communication. We had originally arranged for the install to occur on a Friday, but his glass fabricator had a delay, so he called on the Tuesday before and the install was moved to the following Monday. Everything went smoothly.

Anyhow I called Window World and they ordered the replacement, shortly thereafter they replaced it -- didn't charge one red cent! I'd read the warranty and wasn't 100% sure -- but they stand by their warranty! Then we had another larger window which was starting to leak, and the home is 30 yr. old, so we had Window World come out and measure and did the custom order for the size. It came in and was installed perfectly! NO issues! The quality is great and the service is fantastic too!

I saw an ad for Window World and made an appointment for a quote on some doors, as I did with other…read morecompanies. The other companies I met with were not pushy at all and were completely professional, but their sales representative, Marty, lost the sale before I even received quotes from other companies. I came into the appointment fully prepared for aggressive sales pitches and upsell tactics because I just needed a simple door. However, I was completely unprepared for Marty's invasive and inappropriate behavior. He used "forgotten" items as an excuse to keep walking and looking through my house, stepping right back inside without ringing the bell or knocking. He completely overstepped his boundaries and made me very uncomfortable. He even made an excuse to use my restroom, which I don't believe he actually used, and I know he didn't wash his hands. It was just another way to try to invade my personal space. He even noticed a memorial item in my home and used it to ask highly invasive questions about my marital status and living situation. It felt entirely like he was profiling my home to see if he could inflate the quote. Then he pushed for me to sign a highly inflated price for the doors that day. I said I needed some time, and he said he'd call next week. Instead, I received 6 calls from him and another representative the next day, and 4 more the day after that, which got them both blocked on my phone. Even if they had been the cheapest quote, I still would have chosen another company that was more professional and courteous.
