Chris was awesome. Came over and replaced my old Dish with a new Antenna. I'm scanning 65+ channels and no cable bills.

It is almost worthless. Instead of a password for the WiFi you just connect to the network and then you are sent to a login page when you open your browser. Except you aren't most of the time. After repeatedly connecting and disconnecting and restarting your laptop sometimes you do get to log in. Sometimes you get a decent connection speed. Sometimes it slows to a crawl. Sometimes you get randomly kicked off the network and then you have to go through the whole ordeal of trying to get connected again. I called their support line and they couldn't help. Their only suggestion was to go to the hotel lobby and try to get a connection there. It didn't work any better and frankly, going to the lobby to use the hotel WiFi is ridiculous. Fortunately I have my own mobile hotspot and I've been using that more than the hotel WiFi, but when I'm paying good money for a good hotel it would be nice if I didn't have to use up my own limited data. I have stayed in much cheaper hotels that had much better internet service.

What??? We finally After the Rep Fought us several times got over to the Retention Dept. and the Package was added. We really wanted to have better internet, and went for the Spectrum package of phone, internet and TV. We cancelled our Direct TV on September 6th, 2024. We had the bill on autopay. We had been charged $160.00 /month for that service. On March 3rd, 2025 I received an email that said my Direct TV bill was now $225.00/month. My husband called Direct TV and they confirmed that we had cancelled our service and they had continued to bill our autopay. When we had called in September we asked about returning the TV boxes. We were told that a box would be sent to us so that we could return the boxes. This never happened. After 10 days we called Direct TV and said that we had not received a box. We were told that one would be sent. This never happened. When we called on March 4th about the bill, my husband spoke with someone that said their billing went to September 20th. So we would not be reimbursed for that month. We were told that we would receive a prepaid credit card for 4 months. We drove to Henderson, NC 14 miles/one way to the UPS to return the TV boxes after we had packed them. We were told they could not accept them and we would have to drive 26 miles one way to the UPS facility in Wake Forest. When we got there, the boxes were repacked and mailed to Direct TV. Since it has been a month since our contact with Direct TV, my husband called, . About 4 days after we sent the TV boxes back, I received an email that said not to return them but to recycle them. Now it has been a month when we have complied with their initial request to return the boxes to get our refund, and have not heard from Direct TV. I had my husband call Direct TV. after being hung up on twice, he spoke to a lady that said that it takes 60 days to resolve this. So we should expect a check by May 4th. No problem with Direct TV, just what I have written. With all of this, I would not have Direct TV, and AT&T said no contract and we went several times to the Raleigh AT&T office and explained that we were told no contract. And phone calls were not helpful in cancelling the contract. I had stopped at a booth at Sam's Club in Wake Forest where I spoke with a guy Alexandre, when I contacted Sam's Club they said they had nothing to do with this they had just rented the space for the booth. No matter how old you are, you still have lessons to learn. Hopefully, someone will read this and not make the same mistakes. My father and best friend had Direct TV. AT&T uVerse Fiber - Durham, Southpoint NC 27713 - It's great, once you get connected.... but…read morethere's a catch: the initial cable installation is temporary and the Buried Cable Service has to come and bury that fiber-wire. Therein lies the problem... and it's the same if they have to come back and fix it, lay a temporary cable, and have the Buried Cable Service Team re-bury the new temporary cable - IF it get's done, it will ONLY be if you berate them with the requests. You might have to get REALLY annoyed and upset with them to bury that wire, possibly report them to the Better Business Bureau and FCC. In my experience, our original connection took months to schedule - good that I didn't disconnect TWC (the worst service I've ever paid for - review another time). When the temporary fiber cable was finally installed by the AT&T service team - they did a good job - they were AT&T Service Tech. However, that's when I began to learn that the Service Team doesn't bury the wire, it's a Contractor.... and the Contractor's are awful at best. Once that initial cable got buried (2 inches below ground) - it got damaged - bitten by a mole. The repair took weeks... we were down. This is where the repeat frustration begins... a temporary cable get's installed... and service get's restored, but that cable runs across the street - which doesn't take more than a few days to get broken. Another call then goes into AT&T Support... after a week, another temporary cable get's installed, and... you guessed it, get's broken, resulting in yet another call to AT&T Support and waiting for a temporary cable. Eventually, the Contractor Buried Cable Service comes to bury the line and all is well. That is... until my neighbor who experiences all the above, has her line cut accidentally by road crews installing Fiber (Google-Fiber) down NC54. In the ensuing farce the AT&T Contractor who came out to fix her cable, cuts OUR cable buried underneath the road and uses it was a pull string for my neighbors cable (cause we wouldn't let him run through our property - imagine my livid reaction)! Several weeks result in calls with my screaming into the phone to AT&T Support and Supervisors with our phone and security systems and TV-Internet completely down = NOT amused. After several weeks, three temporary cables got installed and layed across the road, each got broken, each took days or weeks to fix. FINALLY, a couple of good 'ole southern boys from the nearby Greensboro Municipality team who'd been brought in to help with workload, came up with a better temporary fix, and strung the temporary cable from pole-to-pole (not on the road) and across the yard, until the Buried Cable Service could come and finish re-installing the buried cable that was cut by the previous Contractor. It took months before the Buried Cable Service showed up, but, there was no advance notice, and I found via my property camera's that there were AT&T guys on site - with no advance notice. Shortly, minutes later, I get a call from one of the onsite Contractor's about disconnecting our Service and burying the line. I told them, "oh hell not today, you'll have to come back, there's no way I'm having my cable and service disconnected, and go through a complete outage process again without my being at home and there to make sure it's functional". They hang up... and I watch them "bury" a cable anyways. When I get home, surprise, that cable isn't buried more than 1 inch... ~seriously~?? And most of it isn't buried at all - thank God it's not been switched over yet... Now the best part of it all = it's been over 4 months since that last Buried Cable Service visit - there's been no call back, I can't get a return call from my voicemails. The not-connected "buried cable" is still exposed... (and improperly routed through the walling of the middle of my garden). The suspended cable across the road and coiling around the side or the road and into the entrance gate and running across the lawn, is at least still active... I'm at least relieved that I have any service at all - grateful for that. I'm furiously annoyed that I know the cable WILL eventually get damaged - it's just a matter or time - ergo mowing the lawn has been a challenge to say the least, as has getting the leaves cleaned up (my property is surrounded by huge trees and buries the lawn each fall between Nov-Dec. SO believe it or not, my issues are STILL not resolved... Nobody calls, or calls back... Good luck to any of you who go down this road, but here's my two cents: If you are going with AT&T uVerse, bear these comments in mind and get a conduit properly laid in advance yourself, to facilitate the AT&T installation. AT&T doesn't arm their cable, it's an unprotected extremely thin and fragile fiber optic cable. Call AT&T Buried Wire Center at: 800-924-9420, Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. ET. This phone number is specific to cables in the ground that need to be buried.

When our internet…read morestopped working, we were given no explanation other than they were "fixing it" and service would be returned by 11pm that night. Looking at the outage map, it was considered low impact and didn't effect a large number of customers. Then the hours kept increasing, yesterday the outage map read 105 hours. 3 days later our fix no longer has a time estimate when we call, and the outage map now reads 105 hours to be fixed for the second day in a row. When we asked about a refund for the days missed, we were told we would be refunded zero dollars for downed service. Essentially we paid them to provide us with no service or customer support whatsoever. Thankfully it caused us to find Google was 30 dollars cheaper a month for the same service, so we canceled. They lost a longtime customer.
