Do not ever get spectrum if you live in or by Novi Michigan. This is by far the most unreliable internet to exist. I pay for the really good internet too, but multiple times a week theirs service outtages for any reason whatsoever. A little windy? Service outtage. A little rainy? Service outtage. Nice clear sunny day? Service outtage! It must be the infrastructure or something that they don't want to invest in. It must be cheaper to repair whatever the issue is every week than actually replacing, or moving it. As well, this company's representative ran my credit without my permission to offer me their (probably just as terrible) phone service. To add to this, after running my credit they automatically put me on some internet assistance program that temporarily made it cheaper, but he didn't tell me that he did that and acted like he was giving me a good deal until six months later my bill is fifty bucks higher than agreed. You would think during an age where everything relies on internet that they would figure this stuff out, but I have a feeling that it's just a cheap company that's selling garbage for a high profit. If you have the option to not give this company your business I suggest you go with someone else. Instead of calling and talking to me first; like a business should, they took 1,899 dollars from me and would not give it back for about 2 weeks! I walked in with no appointment to return old equipment and set up a new account. There was quite a lengthy, but understandable wait - 3 employees and about 15 people in the que. But I was very impressed with the fact that an employee came up to me before it was my turn and asked what I needed, and told me if I wanted to skip the wait I could just turn my equipment into the mail, I believe at USPS free of charge. He was extremely polite, calling me ma'am and patiently hearing my story, as I'm quite the rambler. I let him know I was interested in other services as well, but that I appreciated it. At this time I was standing near the front of the store, where it was packed, and I set my equipment down on displays and stood to wait. He kindly let me know about the other section on the other side of the store I could wait it, and it was empty with plenty of chargers. I happily took my seat and waited. The gentleman appeared to be hispanic with curly hair and glasses, and a slightly heavier set build. I only mention this in hopes he gets recognition, because I didn't get his name and his kindness stood out to me. I sit, I wait, and an hour later I'm called up by one of the most pleasant customer service representatives I've ever met in my life. Her name is CRYSTAL - and she ROCKS. She was knowledgeable, quick, patient, and extremely personable. She seemed to be very wary of the long wait and valued my time, asking if I had any place to be because we had to wait for something for a few minutes. I let her know I was perfectly free and had no issue waiting a few more minutes. After all, I'm here for a service, I don't expect things to happen lightning fast. We had some confusion due to my own overdue bills and trying to determine what my balance was for the day. She made EVERY effort to double check every number and make sure I wasn't charged twice, and that my old balance was completely settled. Some people may get frustrated when employees ask someone else for assistance or advice, but to me - it tells me she CARES that it is done right and doesn't just wing it with every decision. She had a manager who was a middle aged white lady, again I forgot her name but she was also a complete pleasure. I let her know how awesome Crystal was as well. By the end of my time with Crystal I was informed, extremely happy with my services and new equipment, and damn near made a friend. We were laughing by the end of the transaction, and I almost wished I had more problems!! She let me know about why my old bills went up , which was because I had signed up on a promo but was never told when it would end. I returned equipment to Spectrum and they have not sent the refund 3 weeks later. Had I not called, I never would have received a refund because they said it slipped through the system. I have been told the wait is 7-10 business days 3 times. I was told I'd receive a call by Jan. 15 and didn't. The supervisor said his associates were being overly optimistic by giving that date. Its a different story and excuse everything I call about my refund. There is no way to escalate anything even when they owe you money. Well this sure was an interesting experience and full of drama! I hate dealing with cable companies after trauma of dealing with the rudest jerks from our previous provider AT&T. We were reluctant to turn on internet at our temporary apartment, but ended up needing to since we had a month until we could get into our new house. We came here on a Saturday afternoon around 2-3pm. You check in up front and then sit down and wait. We were fifteenth in line, but it did move faster than expected. Seating is very limited. While we waited we watched an altercation between an employee and a customer with unruly children that ended with the cops being called. After holding on a 45min call, to cancel my service, I'm told to go into the store to cancel and return equipment, and then I arrive and they tell me to go to UPS drop equipment off their then call to cancel. I shared my experience of my wait time on the phone and the rep, Dena, was like I don't know what number you're calling but I get right through when I call, when I asked her if she could give me that number, she said it should be the one on your bill and refused to provide it. I hardly ever come into a TWC/Spectrum location. This store used to be on Atlantic Avenue. This new location is very nice. Love the decor. There are a lot of TVs. There is a sign in iPad when you first enter to put you on the wait list. Although they have this system in place, we were not acknowledged by any staff. They have a cozy waiting area with a high top bar. Not such a painful place to go when you need to return equipment or anything that can't be done online. read more

If I could give -1 star i certainly would. Absolutely the worst internet service possible. My internet service progressively has gotten worse over the past3 weeks. So I called tech support, they informed me that the modem was reset multiple times. That was on a Sunday. Was told that it would be Wednesday evening after 6pm that a tech would come out and troubleshoot the problem. So for 4 days I am supposed to sit around with no internet ( I am a full time college student that has online classes) and like it.
