I arrived here about 12:50pm on a Sunday afternoon with my brother's girlfriend to upgrade her phone. She's on my account, so I needed to go as well. We were promptly greeted. There were 3 staff persons available and no customers. Andrew S. was the person who assisted us with the upgrade. Initially, Andrew said they didn't have any iPhone 14 Pro Max in stock and it would need to be ordered, which she decided to do. Andrew decided to check the back and they had one available. Andrew also told us that a customer bought a watch and retuned it but never used it. Since my sis got a new phone, there was a $250 off deal for series 8 Apple Watch. It also had a $50 coupon on it. I decided to get it and upgrade my Apple Watch SE. There was a $35 activation fee for both the watch and the phone. Since the devices were still attached to other orders, Andrew had to call Verizon to remove/cancel them. This was what made the visit take FOREVERRRR! It started to get busy as well. At one point, all the agents were with people and there were 3 people waiting. After waiting a bunch of waiting, Andrew told us around 1:40pm that it was giving him a bunch of hassle with him canceling the order that was connected to the device. While I appreciate his attempts and I know that it's out of his control, we did waste like 30+ minutes. Andrew ordered the purple iPhone 14 pro max 128GB online. He said it would be here (in store)in a week. I paid for the activation fee for the Series 8 watch, obtained the watch from Andrew, and then we left. When I got back to my brothers house, I checked my email and saw the order placed but it said it was shipping to my house in 2 days... I hope that's wrong as it's not what we were told, especially as I live 1.5 hours away, but we shall see. read more

Terrible experience by Justin as he scammed me. I went in to add a new line to our account. I specifically told him I would like the free phone you get when adding a new line. He told me the iPhone 17 is free with a new line. I said great I will get that and want the most basic phone package that is $45 a month as this is for my teenage daughter and she doesn't need anything elaborate. He said sure thing. I paid my taxes on the phone ($80ish) and left. Shocked is an understatement when I received my bill and my daughter's phone charge was $131.00! I called Verizon and they explained to me that I was being charged for the phone, along with the ultimate unlimited package and a hotspot package..!!! I told the guy what happened in the store and he said yes, this guy scammed you like a used car salesman! So staying on the phone for over 2hrs my daughter now has to get a new phone, return her old phone, and then I had to pay another ($40) in taxes for the new phone. How scammy and what a hassle! I will be reaching out to corporate to file a complaint at how dishonest and untrustworthy their workers are there. read more

Horrible experience. Left in tears. "Helped" by an employee named Justin. Was very egotistical and unprofessional. I went in with my father to trade in my phone for a new one; he proceeded to basically harass me and make me feel bad for wanting a new iphone and told me he would "win any battle about phones" when debating me on whether or not I should get a new phone. That is not even the start of the things that went on during this interaction. I am usually very professional and friendly when it comes to talking to employees but I have never felt so humiliated and berated by an employee who is supposed to be selling me their products. Completely in disbelief of the belittling I underwent during my experience. Please hire employees that are kind to every customer, not just ones they choose to be nice to. read more

Kirby is the best! He is professional and knowledgeable and always goes above and beyond to help with our company account and equipment. A wonderful salesman who can be extremely convincing, it can be hard to justify not adding or upgrading the phones! However, Kirby always listens, helps us with applicable promos, and tailors our account to our needs. We drive 35+ minutes one way every time a Verizon visit is needed because Kirby is the only one I trust with our company account. read more

This Clayton, NC location does not go into enough detail & information, as it would pertain to their offering a high standard of customer service, and as it should. Store manager herself, has had a full mailbox on her own voice mail, for several days, and is aware, but does not delete outdated messages. Manager is quick to brag that she drives a BMW, obviously paid for by excessively over charging for services beyond her customer's needs. Does not return her emails, or phone messages which were left with other store employees. Does not explain service charges for future billing as she should. This location is also poor regarding their customer's follow up. Don't sign up for new service at this Verizon, either go to a different Verizon Store, or visit T-Mobile or AT&T. Manager had said openly, that Verizon can charge more, because it has better phone coverage. read more

We were helped right away by Peyton Northern, and she was professional and patient, knowledgeable and very understanding. We needed a few trips to complete our process, and Sean Freeman, Peyton's co-worker, was also quick to help, he expedited some changes we needed in our plan and Peyton checked in on us to provide support. STAY AWAY!!!!! Absolutely horrific! Spent 4 hours in the store waiting for the store manager (Ana) to switch my number from my father's account to a new account. I have been with Verizon since 1997 and only a few years back did I get on my dad's plan to save us money. 4 hours later and a call to the fraud department, still no phone or number transfer. During the 4 hours, she helped at least 3 other customers with their issues. As she helped others, she was on the phone with the Verizon person trying to help us. She missed a lot of what he was trying to say to her and that he had sent me an email 45 minutes ago! I felt completely ignored. After 4 hours she decided we could transfer my husbands 2 lines from At&t and then try to add my line to that account. That was done fairly quickly. An account from another service was done faster than an account that has been with them for over 20 years!!! She told us to go get some lunch and she will let us know when it's all been done and we can come get our phones. 2 hours later, no call. My husband just goes up there to wait. A total of 6 hours spent in this store. I walked out with a crappy loaner phone that barely worked. She said it will take about 7 days for the problem to be resolved because she had to send it to IT. 6 days later I call the store to check progress. She is and has been on vacation. She will be gone for a couple of WEEKS!! No one in the store had a clue what I was talking about. The next day, I called Verizon customer service myself. The problem was resolved within 40 minutes. All I had to do was go back to the store for my phone. When I get to the store, they are understaffed which was fine, I get it. What bothered me was after waiting yet another hour, the gentleman who helped me (who was great!! Sean) had no idea that she had left this mess for someone else to clean up and was VERY confused as to why I walked out with a loaner phone and not my actual phone. There was another lady there who dealt with Ana and had been waiting to pick up a phone that she ordered. Well, thought she ordered. Turns out the order wasn't placed and now her phone was on back order and she had to upgrade if she wanted a phone ASAP. Other issues, during my 4 hours of waiting, another sales associate came up to her about a mark on the face of an Iphone. Her response....No lie..."throw a screen protector on it and see if he notices." She also threw in 2 chargers in our bag that are $40 each that we didn't know about. We have received our first bill. Guess what. They are charging us for 4 lines when we signed up for 3 lines. And 2 of the lines on the bill are not even our lines and my line isn't on the bill. This was a cluster. He went above and beyond my expectations from bringing my requested color iPhone to Clayton store from Smithfield without requesting this. The service was spot on from switching over from Sprint to introducing me to iPhone as I was previously a Android user. He also assisted my daughter in a different state with the process. We went to another Verizon location in Garner this afternoon to purchase new phones. We let the salesperson know what we were wanting to buy and he told me to go through the app and basically order the phones myself and select store pickup as the delivery option. I didn't think much of it, but when he brought the phones to us, he just gave us the boxed phones and told us we could activate them when we got home. My husband and I are usually pretty good with technology, and I figured maybe this was a COVID-19 precaution so that they didn't have to touch people's devices, so I was initially fine with this. However, when we got home we ran into all kinds of problems with activating our devices. We tried to figure it out ourselves, but we ended up going to the Verizon store in Clayton since that is closer to where we live. I explained the situation to Sean and he brought us back to a desk and sat down with us to take a look. It turns out that the guy who told us to order the phones through our app assigned our phones to the wrong phone numbers and that was essentially causing all of the problems. Sean was extremely friendly and helpful. He let us know what happened and he told us what he was doing to get it corrected. My phone needed a software update that required WiFi, so that was a step I needed to do once I got home, but after doing that it works like a charm! We both now have working phones and I wish that we had gone to the Verizon Clayton and worked with Sean in the first place. We will definitely be going to see him for any other Verizon visits in the future. read more

I have been a customer with Verizon for 18 years. I had been experiencing problems with my WiFi Jetpack dropping service and went into another local Verizon dealer in Clayton. I was put on the phone with Customer Service (the in-store rep couldn't help me?!?!) told they couldn't do anything for me outside of me buying out my contract for that device ($800), purchasing a new device (more $$) and paying for another two year contract...you guessed it...more $$!!! I walked out ready to drop Verizon after years of being a loyal customer. After losing service while working from home I went to this location hoping for better service. There was no wait and plenty of sales reps available to help. Robbie was my sales rep, he first commented on my long standing relationship with Verizon, and was quick to come up with a solution. A solution that cost me NOTHING. He also shared with me that I could add a tablet to my account for $10 a month that I could also use as a mobile hot spot. A backup plan to ensure I could still work from home while the Jet Pack was being fixed. Being in Sales myself, this is the type of customer service I expect. Loyalty should count for something...it did with these folks. I highly recommend them...ask for Robbie! He will take excellent care of you. read more

I cannot say I've ever had a good experience at this store. Every single time I go in, they're understaffed and have a line of people waiting to be helped. And don't even get me started on the wait time. I went in there recently to inquire about upgrading to a new phone and saw that the two associates were helping people and there were two other people waiting. I sat down and asked one of them how long they've been waiting, to which they replied with an aggravated "An hour." And I wish she was kidding. I've gone there three times this year, and I've spent somewhere over 2 hours of my life sitting in there over the three visits waiting to get helped before I just left and went to a different store each time. I think I've been there 5 or 6 times since I've been in Clayton (which has been about 10 years), and only one of those times have I been fortunate enough to actually get helped; and by "help," I mean they couldn't fix my problem so they sent me to a different Verizon store. Their main problem is that they take forever with a single customer, such as chatting to get to know them and all sorts of other crap. If that customer was the ONLY customer in your store, then they could get away with it. But when they have two associates and five customers waiting in the store, you're not going to get help for a very long time. If you want to do business with Verizon, do NOT do it here. read more

While visiting from Seattle, I stopped @ the Starbucks next door to check my e-mail. Upon leaving, I placed my phone on top of the car & drove off. Needless to say, my phone was history. And I was a wreck. I suddenly felt hopeless & alone being 3500 miles from home without a way to contact my family & them being unable to contact me. I went into the Verizon store to explain my issue. Like I said, I was a crying mess. I met an employee there named Marcus who was so patient & empathetic with me. He went above & beyond to help my get re-connected. He was able to get all my info & pics transferred to the new phone in a matter of minutes. He spent all the time I needed to get myself together then spent extra time to help me get other programs installed. You've got a real gem in Marcus. I will never forget how he helped me that day. read more
