Excellent customer service! We went in to research changing from another carrier and Manny was so helpful and informative. He made sure to give us all relevant information and went out of his way to share all details so there would be no surprises resulting from changing carriers. Also, he said my mom could come in anytime to get help with her plan or phone. Additionally, the other Verizon store in town and given me incorrect information about their warranty policy (perhaps unintentionally) and I was very frustrated because I was told I could exchange my cell phone cord and then was informed that I could not. The store manager, Susan, at Mangrove location was so nice and understanding and covered the other store's mistake in an effort to not cause me additional trouble. We are in a busy season of our life and I appreciate her gesture more than I can express. I absolutely recommend coming to this location for your Verizon needs or to change carriers! read more

After my wife passed away, I begin to attempt to clear up her unfinished business. One thing I found was that we had been paying for Verizon service since April 2024 and not using there service. after spending over 8 hors on the phone and at the Corporate store in Chico, the person with the power to refund this over charge to me only agreed to 6 months reimbursement. Kenna who works at the Corporate Store tried her best to get a satisfactory settlement for me. The Person on the phone line did not feel they owed me anything. This is a corporation that takes in hundreds of millions if not billions of money for their service yearly. I had numerous individuals respond that yes it should have been terminated in April 2024. Amazing how cut throat this organization is over approximately $600 dollars. read more

My 81-year-old mother went in to purchase an updated phone. The gentleman who helped her was friendly and knowledgeable (although she uses basic features; calling, texting, pictures and games) ended up selling her a google pixel which after 1 day she wanted to take it back as it was to tech savvy for her. The guy who sold it to her only told her that there would be a $50 restocking fee if she were to return it. What he didn't tell her is that the other "add on items" he sold her were NOT RETURNABLE and would not get her $ back. I went into the store myself to speak with someone to help me understand why she ended up paying $300.00 after having it for 1 day. He told me what I wrote above (items not returnable). I voiced my opinion that it would have been great customer service to have told her the items he was selling her were not refundable as well as the $50 re-stocking fee. The clown I suggested this too looked at me like "oh well"! I was floored! No I'm sorry this wasn't explained to her properly, apology, some sort of credit, etc. Needless to say she is moving her carrier to a different company! We went to Verizon to get a new phone for my husband. The sales person said for $10 per month we can get a free tablet. He DID NOT tell us that adding the tablet to our account would raise my husband's monthly unlimited +access plan from $40 per month to $55 per month. So, the free tablet is actually costing $25 per month!!!! Not worth it and I will never go back to this store again. read more

This place is an absolute joke. I came in after my service continued to drop for about 6 weeks straight. (Weird that this issue started right when Verizon implemented their 5G switch). Any time I opened an app, the cellular network completely disappeared, all my bars were dropped, and I would wait 7 - 10 seconds for everything to reload. My phone became literally unusable unless I was connected to WiFi at all times. I came in to the Mangrove location and explained my situation. I was told to try resetting the network settings. That didn't work. They tried replacing the SIM card. That also didn't work. Those 2 recommendations were all they offered before implying that my phone must be the issue. They suggested I partake in their "trade-in promo" which I agreed to. I traded in my iPhone 11 and purchased a new iPhone 13. They sold me a charger, a screen protector, and a case. The total came to about $300 + activation and service fees. I paid, waited for them to transfer everything to my new phone (about an hour) and left. As I tried to make a phone call from the parking lot, my service dropped in the exact same way it did with my original phone! I went right back in and told them the same issue was occurring. They then spent about an hour sitting on Verizon's corporate customer service line trying factory reset after factory reset. I spent a total of 4 hours in that store to have absolutely nothing resolved. I now have to go back tomorrow morning and cut into my work day AGAIN to speak to a manager to see if she can figure out why their service doesn't work. On top of that, they claim that half the fees associated with the new phone can't be reimbursed because they're technically "Victra" not Verizon. My biggest issue was that they tried to upswell me $300+ without trying the factory resets to begin with. They push new product sales to make as much $ off their customers as possible. They wasted 4 hours of my day, and fixed literally nothing. I've been a customer with them for 9 years and will drop tomorrow if they can't figure out their service glitches read more

Straight up the rudest and least helpful store I've come across to date. I went in to ask for help with my new iPhone XS which I bought the day before and had not activated correctly. All I needed was the line activated and my old phone, which I already shipped off for a trade in turned off as we had been instructed to do the day before. The manager, Susan, proceeded to tell me that: "This is not your phone" "If this was your phone you would know the account number!" In all the time of dealing with Verizon (about 5 years) we have NEVER been asked for our account number, they have simply asked us for the phone number on the account and our ID. Since I wasn't able to give the account number it ws implied that I had stolen the phone or that the phone was not mine. That was bad enough but to put this into perspective, I am a disabled young lady on chemo-therapy, I am a small person with a very meak voice. I think the lady that helped me was Autumn and the manager on duty didnt do anything about it and perpetuated the abusive approach - her name was Susan... They totally took advantage of this and had me leaving the store in tears. I wouldnt even recommend this store to my people I dont like... Extremely poor service. read more

My Daughter brought the iPhone X she had purchased one day earlier, at the Mall location (SAME COMPANY) into this store. She is visible sick, and this location was easier for her to use. The Phone had stopped calling out. Autumn, and then Manager Susan gave her terrible service! They sent her away saying they couldn't help her without an Account Number. Although somehow they WERE able to tell that Cell shows up on another name. (It was Brand New!) Basically she left in tears, and felt they were accusing her of stealing it. When I called to complain to the Manager Susan, I told her Verizon would expect better Customer Service, especially since there were 4 Employees, and no other Customers. She kept a very positive demeanor and was very helpful/knowledgeable. But we ran into a problem with the verification while signing up for a new phone plan and throughout the process we were promised to be called at a couple of different times to check on the process and we never received the callbacks as promised despite us trying to call the store a couple of times to check on it. They also gave us the wrong phone numbers to call so we weren't able to check on it on our end. Really disappointing since we expressed we were needing this handled asap. Ended up just going to a different Verizon and got the right number to call and got it handled in less than 15 minutes. read more

I went to this store with a friend who needed to get her service switched from one phone to another. We chose this store because we had other errands to run and this location was the most convenient. Thank God we chose this store. I have been to the corporate store in the mall, as well as many other corporate stores throughout my 15 or so years as a Verizon customer. This was the first franchise store I had been to. While I have certainly come across fine individuals in the corporate stores,we were really stoked not to have to run through the up-sell obstacle course that exists between the front door and the cash register of every darned corporate store in existence (hey guy, I was in sales for years, and when I politely identify that I know and appreciate what you're doing and have no interest, that's the precise time to step trying to up-sell me). We were helped by Justin, and he actually seemed interested in accommodating our needs, rather than padding his wallet by trying to get me to buy some crap I never dreamt of owning. Wow, refreshing. The phone we needed to change over to was dead. I had to go to Safeway to buy some coffee supplies (we all know how important that is), but was in a rush because I had to get to a meeting in a short period of time. We went and did our shopping, and upon returning, Justin had the phone ready to go, he helped us, and we were gone in a jif. We didn't spend a dime. He was polite and professional. He held a good conversation throughout. Why am I writing this? Because this DOES NOT happen at the corporate stores. I said free, right? Anyways, I have an upgrade in February. I will not be going back to the corporate store. I'll return to this store. You know what? I'll probably even buy some accessories I want, but don't necessarily need. You know why? Went in today to replace an water damaged iPhone 5. Purchased a 16GB iPhone 6 (199$). After tax, my bill went from $199 to $284. I was already there for 2 hours, so I didn't feel like double checking because I knew they charge high tax prices on those (25%?). Came home and looked at the receipt, and oddly enough was charged $25 for "4G Essentials" and $10 for "SIM Card". By my understanding, the iPhone ALREADY COMES WITH THE SIM CARD. Furthermore, upon looking below at what 4G Essentials included, the important things the document mentioned were: SIM Card, Screen Protector, and instant $10 Accessory Credit. Not only was I scammed for an extra $10 that I had already paid for, but the salesperson did not mention that I had any included screen protector, OR in store credit THAT I PAID FOR. The salesperson actually TRIED TO SELL ME A BUNDLE OF A CASE AND A SCREEN PROTECTOR FOR $50, WHEN I HAD ALREADY HAD AN INCLUDED SCREEN PROTECTOR FROM MY BILL THAT THEY DID NOT GIVE ME. In any case, going back tomorrow to get my $35 back. Scammers. Shoppers beware, do not take their offers or bundles. EDIT: Came back the next day, and eventually got refunded $20 and the screen protector I had paid for. Did not expect these silly complications/charges from Verizon, but I'll add one more star for an extra $10 discount the sales associate added (Though they refused to refund the 25$ "4G Essentials").
