I think prices may be a bit higher than what you can get around town, but he is using the authentic Apple parts. He openly told me once I can shop around and probably find a lower price but to "pay attention to [such and such] and ask if they're using [whatever method or part] as they can charge less if they do it that way but it could make an inferior repair." Maybe I'm just being fooled, but it doesn't seem like it to me! If anything is ever wrong (rare), I'm confident he will make it right because I've experienced it. After getting the back replaced, there was a smudge or speck behind one of the camera lenses. I called, and the repair technician took care of it right away. Of course, this means it wasn't perfect the first time, but we are working with humans after all! Making it right with no trouble speaks volumes.

I had worked in this building during my college years when it was occupied by a different hardware store. From then to now, I am surprised over how similarly laid out the aisles are. I suppose not messing with a good thing is the way to go. This Ace is the only full hardware store in north Chico. It is close to the 99 freeway and is in a shopping center adjacent to two main roads. There is always a ton of parking and I can usually find a spot right at the front. As I'd mentioned earlier, the interior is laid out well. It's bright and airy with wide, well-stocked aisles. The occasional clearance finds in the front are a nice touch, and I love their barbecue items display. Came in here the other day looking for a particular item that their online app had advertised. The three associates whom had helped me were all very friendly and worked well together. Not only that, but the item was a part of the "red tag" sales agent they were holding, so I was able to purchase it at a discount of over 50%. What a nice surprise that was. I live in south Chico but prioritize this location as my hardware store because of the great service and selection. I will be back.

He was unable to comprehend that 10 inches at 200% is 20 inches. He was also unable to make black and white copies instead of color, telling me that the machine had no provision for black and white . . . ? I had 35+ years of experience in engineering and reproduction, and it was apparent to me that he was not the man for the job. Everyone has to start somewhere BUT should have basic math skills for reproduction work. He also had a very minimal knowledge of the equipment he was using. He made me wait for 45 minutes while he produced unacceptable copies at the wrong scale. He waited on other customers when he should have been finishing my job.
