Consumer beware. I am out $100 because of the negligence of this store's staff. The first item to note is that this particular location is not a true Verizon store; rather, it is a "Verizon authorized retailer" which means they set their own policies. I had decided to patronize this location as it is centrally located in Chico, offers ample parking, and appears to be a generally clean store. There also appear to be several staff working at a time which is desirable. My experience was soured by the store's staff on the particular day I had patronized this location. Having made a Black Friday purchase online, I opted to pick up one of my two new devices here at this location. When I walked in, I was quickly greeted and paired with store associate Kaiden. He was a friendly guy, but somehow accidentally cancelled the order on my second device which wasn't even intended to be fulfilled at that location - it was to be delivered to my home as Verizon had a national shortage due to the extreme Black Friday savings. Strike one. When Kaiden noticed his error, he immediately sought help from D, the supervisor on duty. Like Kaiden, D was also friendly with me. I could tell that they both were trying to backtrack the accidental cancellation but didn't have luck in doing so. At the time, I opted to cancel my order with them and revert to online-only, but was informed that there would be a $50 restock fee for the already-opened device that was presented to me. I ended up sticking with the purchase and substituted the second, cancelled item for a lower-grade equivalent they had in stock. They would not offer me the grade of device I had asked for - even if it were to be pre-ordered and shipped to their store. I reluctantly took the lower-grade device. Prior to leaving, I noticed I was charged an extra $50 for what I'm assuming was in-store setup of the device. This was not something I had agreed upon. Strike two. Fast-forward a week and a half, and the device that was supposedly cancelled arrived at my doorstep. I opted to keep this new device as it was the higher-grade model I had initially ordered. Awesome. From here, I packaged my lower-grade equivalent device and returned it to the store as it was within the two week window. One of the associates whom had assisted mentioned that their manager, Jose, could likely waive the $50 restocking fee after hearing my story. After walking back to speak with him, the associate came back and said it could not be honored and that I would need to pay the fee. A fee that would have been avoided had it not been for the negligence of the associates during my initial visit to this location. Strike three. We live in a city where there are multiple options for purchasing smart devices. If you decide to patronize this Victra location, exercise extreme caution. It is not my intent to call out specific employees, but here I am sitting with $100 less in my bank account all because of employee errors. No consolation whatsoever. I know I'm only one disgruntled customer, but I hope my honest review prevents another customer from being stiffed $100 in the future. read more

I went here today to make a purchase of a new iphone 13 Pro Max. I was very happy with the service that I received. Everyone is very professional and courteous. I explained that I had an appointment and what I was there for. It was a very quick process. My phone was setup for me and I was quickly on my way I love doing business with these guys. I was charged $39.99 for a set up of my new phone. I could have done it myself had I known I was being charged. I was informed of the $35 activation fee that is charged anytime you get a new phone but not that I was being charged $39.99 for the associate to take my phone out of the box!!! They must work on commission at these stores.. truly feel like I was scammed out of $40!! I will never go to this store ever again. after I paid, had to ask for a receipt and I know why. dude really didn't want me to see he had charged me $39.99 for literally him taking phone out of box and putting my phone no in to it. When I saw the charge for $39.99, I was pissed and rightfully so. I was never once told or informed there would be a $39.99 charge for set up. The battery on my old iPhone recently expanded and pushed open the case. I took my phone to Verizon, hoping to fix it. Jose, who I believe is the store manager, told me that the battery was bad and could possibly explode. He explained my options for a new phone clearly, not trying to upsell me. He then proceeded to transfer all my information from my old iPhone to the new one, wiped the data from my old phone, found the correct chargers, case and cover for my new phone, all the time clearly explaining my options. Do not go in this store for any reason. Unless you want to be scammed big time! Guys here are fast talkers and will lie straight to your face about trade in values and prices of your service. By the time you get your first bill you will already be out of the 14 days return policy so your basically Screwed. Make sure you see and get a printed receipt that says trade in value, credited to your account, every promise you are given before you walk out the door! I had an issue with an online Verizon order, so went into the Victra store at the corner of East and Cohasset in Chico. As soon as I walked in the door, Noe offered to help me (no waiting!). He listened to my problem and immediately went to work figuring out what went wrong. He offered one solution, but gave me excellent advice on another alternative. When I left, I had a beautiful Google Pixel 6 Pro phone that was completely set up with all of my data, a screen protector, a case, and a couple of free promo items. Well... Apparently the last review I wrote violated the TOS's for Yelp. I'd venture to say that since 4G Wireless is a yelp advertiser, it got taken down. I digress.... it's now been over a month since this ordeal started. no word from the store manager, no word from the district manager, one lame ass email response from their corporate office but still no resolution. Here's the quick and simple. I went in Jan 10th to change my plan around and save myself about $90 a month. The person who *ahem* helped me didn't do shit and didn't even log into my account. Thus Verizon customer care says they can't even tell if I was there. The district manager was supposed to "review the tape". I think I have a better chance of seeing Jennifer Anniston and Angelina Jolie nekked before the "Tape gets reviewed". Again, I digress... a month later, no credits for their fuckup, and no one even has the decency for a return phone call or email. If you want to get jipped, taken for a ride, swindled, or otherwise bent over with a 40 grit condom without the decency to have it spit on before being shoved in, then come here. I will never go to this store again. I am so beyond fed up with the sales pitch, it is crazy. I go in there for one specific thing, a cracked screen. I am then pushed to upgrade, buy an I pad, and every other thing. I repeatedly had to say no, over and over. This was from the manager. Then a phone on my account is lost and I want to pay the fee (I had insurance) and have it replaced. And of course they try to get me to upgrade the lost phone, my phone, and the I pad again. Telling me the I pad is free... free really? and not only is it free but my monthly bill goes down if I do it. How about you just lower my bill which is already higher than you said it would be lol and give me a "free" I pad!The fact they try to sell these ridiculous "deals" is insulting. I politely said no thank you like 4x. My favorite is the way they start the pitch. So how do you like your phone? Do you take a lot of pictures? etc. It's just gross. Not only that but I watched them push a really old lady on the great deal on the "free" I pad. Just leaves a bad taste in your mouth. So what happens at the end of me paying the fee to replace the lost phone? He literally slides my receipt to me and says not a single word. I ask ok is that it? His response. "yep". No thank you have a nice day or anything. It was very obvious that he was totally irritated I won't buy all this extra crap. Never again. read more

Once again, today I had an EXCELLENT experience at the Victra store at 855 East Ave, Chico. About 3 years ago, Jahai spent a lot of time over multiple days helping my daughter resolve a long-standing Verizon issue -- even though it had nothing to do with his store (Jahai is still there -- I appreciate his longevity!); about a year ago Jose helped me understand my new work phone, even though it was purchased by my employer elsewhere; and today, Noe was great with getting a new phone all set up for me in minutes, after I'd struggled with Verizon's incomplete online instructions, wrong service number, dropped live chat, and insufficient transfer app. The only reason I didn't go to the store directly in the first place is because I figured they'd be jammed up since the mall store is closed. WRONG! I walked right in, got pronto service AND a discount on my purchases today. I am so glad these guys are here! It distresses me to read any negative reviews about this staff -- they've been great to me for years. I will note, as with every contractual purchase, from phones to cars to houses; buyers need to READ AND UNDERSTAND terms, details and timing before buying/signing. Be responsible, not ignorant: These guys have never failed to answer all of my questions with patience and professionalism until I'm satisfied that I understand the details. GREAT WORK, TEAM VICTRA.. You cannot get better than Jaz at the Verison store. This guy helped my mom with a remote JetPack and I was talking to him from 4 hours away. We knew the product we wanted, and my mom was a victim of the #Campfire that ravaged Paradise, CA and I mad a small mention to Jaz. Over the phone, incredible....then my mom call to tell me that the JetPack we bought....he would personally go to her temporary house and set up that night. What a great guy! I am remote and could only watch and hope, but Jaz did what he said and he made her day and life a little easier this week. If you are listening to corporate or other Verizon high uppers.....Jaz is the man! I thank you, brother, for caring about people. Doing your work and going above and beyond the support level required. My mom even tried to slip him $20 as a tip at her home and Jaz simply said "whatever you need, I am here. I am so dissatisfied with all of my 'very expensive' and 'very poor' quality electronic devices from here. My iPhone has very poor cell reception inside my own house! Rain or shine, I literally have to run outside ever time there's a call or the calls get dropped. Also, my brand new 2015 tablet from Verizon sucks! My touch screen tabs itself which makes usage useless!!! What a waste of money, time and stress! I sent it off for repair but got it back with a letter stating Verizon found nothing wrong with my items. Liars! Two year contract that I am stuck with! Don't ever go here. After receiving crappy service at an Elk Grove location I took a chance and called this location for help. From the start of the conversation the representative was kind and inviting. Best of all he reassured me that he would do what he can to help. I went into the store and right away was greeted by Don. The entire time Don took initiative to resolve the issue. Don called customer care and worked through the trouble shooting issues on my behalf. The entire time Don was friendly and smiling. That's what I call service! Thanks you for your help. They're an "authorized" Verizon dealer so that gives them the right to advertise Verizon signs all over the store front. If you need an actual Verizon store go to Chico Mall! I am very disappointed with this Verizon store. They made me wait for 30 minutes, just to talk to someone about buying one of their products. I purchased the item, but it didn't work in the area where I work. I waited another 20 minutes to return it. They refunded me everything except the set-up fee. Well... Here's some context... This is not VERIZON, it's a 3rd party company that is authorized to sell Verzion products/contracts. I didn't really figure this out until the transaction was basically over otherwise I probably would have walked. The gentleman that helped us was nice but not proficient at what he was doing and failed at multitasking... My GF and I walk in yesterday, order an Iphone 5 for her, the gentleman tells us two days... She's leaving on a road trip so two days was perfect.The next day, we get the shipping tracking info and its three days before the store will have the phone; a day too late for her to have the phone for her trip. The guy that helped us brags on his facebook that he has iPhone 5s in stock and wanted to sell contracts with them. I call him, give him the squeeze of 'really... You have the phone she wants in stock and you're going to make us wait'... I didn't say it but a phone call stating that he had a phone for us a day earlier than quoted would have made me a customer for life, him not calling us after I explained the time constraint makes him a bone head. We were there for 2 maybe 2 1/2 hours... In that time, he juggled between failing to setup my GFs phone, calling some customer back that wanted to order a bunch of phones and other customers. Honestly, at this point, I should have walked. Eventually we walk out with her new phone not ported with her new number (so a shiny piece of useless iphone). I get a call from Verzion... What this guy failed to do in two hours took me 2 1/2 minutes... Bam her phone works! LONG STORY SHORT... Go to the actual version store in the mall. edit 12/16... Got my first bill since visiting this store... $234 instead of the 160 quoted. I will come back and post my experience whether they take responsibility or try to pass the blame. read more

CAUTION!!! PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ THIS LENGTHY REVIEW. IT MAY SAVE YOU A TON OF TIME, MONEY and FRUSTRATION!!! First, this is not a Verizon Corporate store. Go to a corporate store if you want facts and trained sales people. Better yet don't use Verizon until you read this review and can make an informed decision. Their service is not better than any other in Butte County but charge A LOT more! This group of sales people are suave, apear professional and knowledgeable. You would never guess they would lead you down a road of lies. We explained from the beginning that we need honest service but I guess that's not what they offer here. First of all we were told that we were getting 42 gigs. I had my parents and daughter there as witnesses. Next day the package was 24 gigs because Don didn't know what he was talking about. I was ready to walk out and they told me they could get us WiFi and that our address was showing up as having service. Two days later they did not get back to us about the WiFi but put us off for 48 hrs saying someone would call.  We check with a corporate store that informs us that our address did not come up and that service is not in our area. So THEY LIED to get us to sign up!! 7 lines they were not letting go out the door no matter what they had to do. ANOTHER LIE...Don, the sales guy, said our out the door cost would be $127. per phone. We told him it was a struggle. My senior parents were currently using iphones but because they didn't have $254. dollars to spare out of their  budget they were told to go with Samsung 7 and they would get a rebate which made them feel better about getting money back.  AGAIN corporate store said NO you don't have to get any accessory package! We were never given the option with the current data special. We were made to believe it was all one deal.  Guess they needed the accessory sales!! If they would have been honest we would have used our old accessories and just paid tax on the iphones which would have been $40-50 a phone and not $120. That would have been more financially feasible and better for my senior parents.  Let me tell you something guys... True Christians are honest, caring people and look out for the best interest of others.  We then bring the phones back after 4 days running out of 12 gigs of data!!!! Are you kidding me??? They charge us a $35. restocking fee per line which we thought they may do.  They said it was normally $70. per line and they were giving us a deal! Called corporate and NO! Restock is always $35. STOP LYING!!! The return process took 1.5 hrs. Because they had done so many crazy things they couldn't track everything appropriately to credit our accounts for the accessories and ended up doing false returns to get as close as they could to credit my parents, daughters and my card back. No joke!!! We spent at least 10 hrs over the 3-4 days in the store trying to understand the promotion. Now we know why their was so much confusion because THEY LIED from the moment we walked in. They also said they gave me a flip phone but come to find out they doubled charged me for activation to absorb their cost. I'm sure I could think of more of their craziness but I think you get the point. I really planned to wash my hands of the whole situation after paying the $245. restocking fee even though we felt taken advantage of and not say anything on Yelp because I have already spent so much time with this foolishness. HOWEVER, TODAY I RECEIVED A BILL FOR $500+ dollars that Verizon Corporate says we owe for the 4 days of service for activation fees, data fees etc.!!!! Now almost $800. for less than a week of service. Unbelievable but true! We were told about restock but not this other stuff. HOPE THIS SAVES SOMEONE ELSE FROM THE HEADACHE WE'VE EXPERIENCED. read more
