First time customer... when I dropped off my son's Ipad mini 4 to replace the front screen on Saturday, the guy told me they had a a black screen available and can pick it up Sunday around 10:30am and quoted me $80 before tax. Sunday came around, I called and no answer, checked on Google for their hours and it stated 12pm - 4pm. Went by the store and come to find out they are closed Sunday! Frustrated and mad I was! Monday comes around, I called and the guy who answered told me they had no screen available for my model, the one they had was for a different model. On top of that the guy who took in my son's ipad did not order a screen so I would have to wait until Wednesday and or the latest Friday (7/5) to pick up. Called again Wednesday and was told not ready yet, they're closed Friday due to July 4th holiday and soonest would be Saturday... by this time I was done with them, getting different answer each time i called.. Saturday came around, picking up the ipad i was told $235 after tax... i was shocked as the guy who took my ipad said $84 something. If it was that much I would've gone somewhere else as I was quoted cheaper then $235 somewhere else! But the guy was really nice and honored it (not same guy who took the ipad when I dropped it off). Overall, i was disappointed and frustrated with all the run around. But, i was happy that the price quoted was honored. So, i gave it a 4 star out of 5. Ty! read more

They were able to retrieve all my photos from my seven year phone and put them on a new phone to me (used and inexpensive) and set it up exactly like my old phone. Yay! Some time late I dropped the phone and cracked the screen. They were able to fix that in the time that i took me to go out a buy a cup of coffee. I WAS JUST ASSAULTED BY THE EMPLOYEE AT THE CHICO iSTORE!! In the past 4 years, I have purchased 4 iphone screens from them, maybe more including my kids' phones. The other people with whom I have dealt have always been pleasant, responsive and helpful. The last time I broke my screen it was only months old so the guy recommended this more expensive screen where if it broke the screen company would provide a free replacement - I think it's a gorilla screen? I broke it. The man today was very unpleasant from hello, told me he didn't know what I was talking about, they don't sell anything like that and I had the wrong store. I told him I have been there several times, they did sell me a very expensive upgraded screen and I asked for manager contact info so I could just call on Monday. He refused to give me manager info and pulled out his computer where it showed I wasn't a customer as he got more and more agitated. I have only ever filled out paper forms so I don't know anything about his system. He yelled at me that I wasn't a customer and I yelled back "I am a customer, I've been here 4 times!" At that point, he grabbed my purse and keys, threw them at the door, came around the counter at me yelling "get the f*** out of here!" I was terrified! There was no one else in the store and he was between me and the door and my stuff! I said, are you nuts? He continued to kick my expensive purse and keys on the ground and we struggled as I tried to get my keys off the floor as he kicked my purse out of the store. I finally got through the door to outside and he pushed me in back and closed the door. There are no words, I cannot tell you how scared I was. I have never feared being physically attacked, especially over a stupid phone screen. Just give me the manager's name and let me leave! UNPROFESSIONAL to say the least! Came in to get my iPhone screen repaired. Asked if they can fix on the spot. They said yes, 40 minute wait, which turned into 2 hours. So they replaced the screen, but cracked it tighten up the back. Not only they didn't fix the screen, but they BROKE it!!!! My phone now does not dial out or receive emails. Went back and told them my phone doesn't work now, Tyler the owner had the nerve to say he would offer me a discount to fix the phone! I was disappointed and he said I can take it down the street to get fixed or the mall. i went to the store for a part for my i phone and they didnt have it. while i was there there was a latino employee who was abusing a white elderly couple who were trying to get a refund for a faulty iphone. I have never witnessed such prejudice and descrimination by an employee. He was telling them to leave or he was going to lock the store with them inside and call the police. I left but waited outside in case that happened when the older man came out. I was afraid the woman was going to be assaulted by the employee and waited for her also. Horrible customer service. I brought the same iPhone 7 plus in three times for a screen repair. The phone had been working, with a cracked screen. After the new screen, it wouldn't work, thus the 2 extra trips, in which the workers acted so out upon that i came back. The owner would not reverse my charge (over $100.) because he said they had performed the service. But the service performed was unsatisfactory. When i finally took it to the Apple Store in Roseville, they said that, because of the "repairs",:it could not be calibrated and i needed a new phone. I have an iPhone 6s Plus and came here to get it fixed. What I didn't do was look at the reviews before I went in, and that was my mistake. I walked in at about 11:30 am, and there were two girls in front of me just picking up there phone. The guy who owns the shop was there and was blatantly hitting on her despite how uncomfortable she looked. Maybe that should've been my first clue to turn around and leave. The girls leave, and I tell him and ask him how much it would cost/how long it'll take to fix my 6s plus. He says $115 and I could come pick it back up at 2. I say okay, leave it there and head home. I went home and ate lunch and tried to pass the time. At 1:30 I left my house, and got back to the shop at 1:45 and they were closing up shop!! I walked in and asked to pick up my phone and his EXACT words were "Well it's good you made it in time, we were just closing up." He told me to come back at 2! If I had come back at 2, they would've been gone, and I would've been out of luck because they were closed the next day. I paid in cash, and walked out. I turn my phone on, looks like everything's okay, so I head home. I go to use my thumbprint to open my phone and I get this message: unable to use thumb print ID to unlock phone. Well, that's weird. I google what could've caused it, thinking that maybe something just needs to be reset after the screen replacement. Turns out, the guys at the shop didn't correctly connect the home button. GREAT. I didn't go back there to get it fixed. After I realized they didn't connect the home button right, I went and read their reviews on yelp. Horrible! They're stealing parts from peoples phones and doing mediocre work. I can't believe I went in in the first place. It's about a month or so later now.. And now my screen freezes, too. DO NOT USE chicoistore for ANYTHING!!!! TERRIBLE BUSINESS!!!!! They have the worst customer service and ZERO work quality. I took in two iPads for repair. One needed a screen and the other a battery. Three days later with no call I went back in to see if they were done. Neither had been touched..... so I told them I need them done by Monday which was 4-days away. Went on Monday and they both were done..... but I asked to see how they work. Good thing I checked, because the one they replaced the screen on has two blemishes in the screen and some plastic pieces under the new screen. The other iPad now doesn't respond to touch at all on the screen. (Zero Quality control) Hector acted shocked nothing was done correctly on either iPad. Especially since he was the one who supposedly replaced the battery (which I do not believe he replaced) So I left the iPad that still don't work for them to fix. Again after 4 days I haven't heard a thing from them so I drove down to the store for the 4th time to pick it up. But it still wasn't done.... so I told Hector I'm picking it up tomorrow before you close fixed or not. Sure enough I went in the next day and it wont even turn on now.... the Nice Gal working has no idea what was wrong with it, so she called Hector who actually wanted me to pay for it. Even though now it wont even turn on.... long story short. STAY AWAY FROM THIS chicoistore! Maybe they should Smoked less weed and spent more time working on customers devices!! read more

I had made an appointment across the street at Chico IRepair (I think it's called) and that didn't work because they called back to "see if I was coming" even after I made and appointment at 4. I showed up at 4 and the guy said he had "promised the screen to someone else" because I didn't answer? What the F is the appointment for then? They order based on need so they never have anything In stock. I have got my phone fixed here before and I had the same issue, plus their screens suck! If you have a newer iPhone like the X, you need OLED displays which they don't have. My iPhone X looked like the screen of an iPhone 4. However, I saw the iStore across the street and I thought I would at least check their prices. Their prices are equally cheap! 225 for and OLED display! Killer deal because they charge 349 at Best Buy for the same screen. Wonderful customer service by Luke I think his name was? Got me in and out in less than 20 minutes. They had screens in stock, unlike other companies in town that make you wait days. Some of us NEED our phones for work and can't go days phone-less, so it's nice iStore actually keeps an inventory. Stayed at 1 star after contemplating changing my rating. The iPad now rattles from the inside out, and despite them noticing some other serious problems they were not attended to. Also, the screen cracked again after just a very short time. The device often overheats and under performs. It's a shame, I really enjoyed the staff, and their attitude. There was just an extreme lack of communication, and despite the discount, I'm not happy with the work. I rarely write bad reviews, but I really had a poor experience here. I went in with a cracked phone screen, needing it fixed so I could drive home for winter break the next day. After a while I go to check in on my phone, and it was ready. This was a little while ago, when I still had the iPhone with the haptic feedback home button. They gave me my phone, and as I was walking out the door, I realized that the home button did not work at all. I turned around and told them my home button doesn't work, and they told me I can just use the assistive touch function instead. Seeing as I paid for a full phone repair, I asked if they could just redo it. I had a black phone screen, and apparently they had used the last black screen on my phone and said they could replace it, but only with a white screen. I asked if there's anything else they can do, and they said they can upgrade me to a tempered glass screen free of charge. I was grateful to be upgraded so they could fix their mistake, so I obviously said yes. 15 minutes later they come back with my phone, same screen, home button still not working, but this time with a tempered glass screen protector on top of it. I did not see how that was supposed to fix my phone screen, but at this point it was past closing and I had a long drive home in the morning. However, they told me to hang onto the receipt and I could come back if I have any issues, it comes with a 30 day warranty. I was driving home for winter break first thing in the morning, and would be gone 32 days. read more

This store does not use Apple parts for repairs as they are not available outside of Apple authorized repair centers, which this is not. They don't disclose the parts manufacturers that they use, but I assure you, the parts are far from premium, and far from working. I've had the chargeport replaced 3 times now since the beginning of March, each time to find out that the charge port is faulty and/or dangerous. Now the store is closed (hopefully permanently) because of the Coronavirus outbreak, and the owner will surely not return phone calls on faulty repairs and faulty parts. My girlfriend had her screen replaced by these guys. In terms of appearance the screen looks much nicer then the shattered finger shredding screen that was on it before. However, there has been nothing but problems since having it replaced. We have had to take it in to them multiple times now because of issues such as an unresponsive screen to touch and button functions not working properly. The communication with the guys is hit or miss, sometimes they are on it with getting back to you, and other times its a struggle to get in contact with them. They can seem pretty full of it and think they have some fine craftsmanship but to be honest their ego is a little big for how many problems we have occurred. Service can be fast and they can have the screen done in 20 minutes which is nice, but I prefer quality work over quickness. By now we have waisted more time having to go back and forth getting it fixed that I would have spent the extra amount of money to have it fixed by Apple themselves to get a quality fix that I can rely on. If you shattered your screen, personally I would recommend just sending it to Apple. It's not worth the risk, and if anything does happen Apple will not touch the screen if you sent it to a third party first to have the work done. read more
