I would give this review a 0 rating if it would let me. My husband and I bought a warrantied auto battery that we had issues from the first. It kept going dead and we would bring it back and they wouldn't warranty it for us and honestly don't really trust their batteries anyway. Our mechanic told us the battery was no good, and Batteries Plus keeps saying it is good that it needs a full charge that takes 2 days. This store in Redding sells defective items and won't honor the warrenty. Out of total frustration, we went elsewhere and got a new auto battery for our car. We will never shop at their store ever again and we will make sure none of our friends or family members shop there either. The WORST customer service ever. They do not value the customer. read more

Beware! They broke my wife's phone. My wife's phone battery was running down too quickly and needed to be charged in the middle of the day.  It always took a full charge and the phone functioned perfectly otherwise.  That is until I had Batteries plus in Chico replace the battery.  The new battery did not improve the situation at all. So I took it back and asked them to honor their 30 day money-back warranty. They tried to blame the problem on how my wife used the phone; bluetooth always, background apps running, etc.  But she was using it in the same way she always had.   I left it with them so they could put the old battery back in. They never called to say it was done. So I went in 5 hours later to check on its status and they said they couldn't do anything to it without the phone's password. They didn't think to call me or check the paperwork from the repair order.  They said the guy who put the new battery in was off that day and he would need to take care of it.  So I left it there with the password. On my way home, in another town, they called and said it was ready.  The next day when I picked it up, they said they just left the new battery in and refunded my money.  When I plugged the phone in to charge, I kept getting a message saying the charging stopped because the phone was too cool.  It was 78 degrees in the house at the time. I even warmed it up a little with a hair dryer. After researching this problem for this phone, I learned they likely didn't reconnect the Inductive charger properly when they reassembled the phone. The phone is now a brick!!! I will give them another chance to fix it and update this review. read more

The store manager finally told me he would exchange the dead battery for a new one. I then received a telephone call from an employee telling me the battery was not 'dead' and I should pick it up. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. I was in an out. They knew what I needed and helped me load them into my car. The staff isn't wearing name tags or I would have given a shout out. They are all wearing masks and if there was a need they would probably be limiting people in the store but people are trickling in and out so there's no need. Its parking lot seems to be 1 earlier than it is. Parking is posted on each spot. I like this place and will continue to get my batteries here. read more

Honest and wonderful service. My 76 year old father went here to fix the battery in his iPhone. He called, made an appointment, and checked to see if the parts were available. When he got there, the man at the counter cleared the lint out of the charging port , checked the battery health, and sent him on his way. My father has mentioned how impressed he was that they didn't charge him a thing. He was fully prepared to pay a bundle for the service. AT&T referred me to come replace iPhone screen. As I walked in my phone was ringing with one of my teenagers to be picked up but I couldn't answer cuz phone screen was broke. The guy at counter refused to replace my phone saying he was going to close soon. Then why is your open sign on and he heard me say I'm trying to pick up my kids as a single mother but don't know where because my phone isn't working. He didn't have the compassion to stay an extra 10 min to help a mother out. How do i know 10 min? Because I left there and went to the mall. Took the kind gentleman 10 min and my phone was fixed. He even fixed my phone before the two in line because I was almost in tears. I highly recommend that little expensive kiosk in the mall!! They care about the customer. read more

Poor experience. I just went in and needed a garage door opener battery. I was in the process of beginning to open the remote and the associate insisted to open it which I believed was a free courtesy then he charged me $4 just to pop the lid. I told him had I known this I would have continued to install the battery myself. He told me that most the time that's what's done and never offered another option. Square trade referred me on April 10, 2018. I have called 4 times and keep getting the run around about when my battery will arrive. The first call was well it has to go by ground it can't go by air. Then the next call, they said well that company is giving us the run around. But the Best was today. "Well I don't know, We don't make the batteries here!!" Almost a month with no phone and really No answer when I will get it! When I got upset and said "forget it, I will get it somewhere else" The guys reply was "Wow" and hung up on me! Bought 4 Duracell Deep Cycle batteries for my motorhome. Lugged my old ones 40 miles to B Plus and then lugged the new none back and installed only to fine that they would not charge higher than 11.5 volts. Had to remove them again and go get replacements. Hope they will last, came on at 12.5 volts. Wish I would have gotten Interstate Batt's. read more

I do not recommend this business. I brought my iPhone X in to repair the screen and replace the battery. They said they could repair the phone in a few hours. I picked up the phone, but they damaged the face recognition. They said they had to send the phone to their central office and the repair would take an additional few days. I depend on my phone for business, so this was extremely inconvenient. They phoned 5 days later and said that due to bad weather, the phone wasn't ready. Nine days later, I found out the hadn't even sent the phone for repair. The workers were apathetic and the service was terrible and unacceptable. read more

Charged me 4.50 per Subaru key fob to install batteries. He didn't tell me it cost extra to to install the batteries, it took him exactly 32 seconds to install both batteries. Went there with a expired coupon,not expecting much,got an estimate to replace glass screen on my s4 galaxy phone. Went to the newly remodeled Italian cottage,had a great breakfast and then returned for my phone.shockingly I learned the one part they had in stock was in fact cracked. They informed me there was someone driving to Yuba City for a screen and that I will have to allow 2 more hours for my repair. I came back in to B and B after .. like three hours and then we went thru all the functions the phone does. Worst customer service on the planet! Wife was concerned about slow cranking when she started her car and weird engine issues (check engine light,etc.) I asked her to go where we bought the battery and have it checked/replaced if necessary before we took the kids to the snow. So she pulls in to batteries plus and the dude says that he"can't get an accurate voltage because the terminals are dirty" (I'm at work while this is happening,so I can't pull out my meter and test voltage like I did the night before and show him that the voltage is 13 volts dc a few minutes after she shut it off) So,she asks him if she could pay him to clean the terminals and/or remove the battery to test it. Dude says "you'll have to get the terminals cleaned elsewhere and come back so we can test it" So,my upset wife,with both kids in the car,trying to get on the road to Mt.Shasta goes back home where I,after work,clean the terminals despite the lack of dirt,corrosion or buildup. We get on the road very late and the car is still having issues. We make it to Mt.Shasta and back by the skin of our teeth and I take the car to a competitor on Monday and have it load tested (200 amps max) (should have been at least 1000 cranking amps) They replace the battery and gained a return customer. This place is the worst place to go in and get your stuff done. The people behind the desk act smarty and tried to help customers but really they tried to rip people off with adding more damage then fixing the situation. I brought in my cellphone for them to help me fix charge port. Instead of fixing the cellphone situation, they called me up to add more stuff to the cellphone like my screen broke which when i brought in it wasn't broken. They told me its the battery in the cellphone and they replaced it too. They said it will be done by 5:30pm which I brought it to them at 4:30pm. It wasn't done until the next day at 1pm. I had to wait this long. They told me the charge port not working for something not functioning. They got it to work but not the charge port. My partner decided it was too much and one thing lead to another with so much at cost. It was supposed to be $250 but it went up to $310 including the wireless charge. So we end up cancelling the contract. The manager said he will cancel the payment and everything. I told him to take out his stuff and put back our stuff in our cell phone. He said ok. He said will do this right away but I was very kind and gave him to the next day. The next day I went later in the evening to go pick it up. The new person who came to work told me sign some paper. On the paper it said about my cancellation and that I was aware of the parts giving it back to me in parts. I was very upset. I told the man behind the counter that I will not sign there because I was not aware of my cell phone returning it back to me in parts. He called his people who had worked on the cellphone. Finally, got to the manager he did it. He said he had spoken to me or my partner and is aware of it. I said to the man that I was not called to discussed this matter nor my partner whose cell phone is the one that they have it in pieces. I questioned the man that if the manager have proof of what time he spoke to me then I agree. I showed the man my phone called list. None was their number accept the day before. I told the man, i will not sign to things that is not true and I did not tell the person to take it to pieces. Why would the manager think I will take the cell phone back in parts. Bad customer services. I I told the guy I brought my cell phone in one piece and asked to help change the charge port. it went beyond that. We cancel and now giving the cell phone back to me in parts is not what I want back. He asked me if I want to speak to the manager and I said yes. He called the guy up again. The manager refused to talk to me and told him to tell me if I don't sign they cannot release it to me. I told them no. So poor guy said okay I will l put back for you. The other guy refused and tried to stop him. He said out loud, " I have too because so and so will not help me out. She won't sign the paper and so I have to do something about it." He went in the back tried his best to put the phone back. Failed miserably. I asked for the cell back and he told me it will not be working again. The cellphone not the same. All tossed together and screw up. I was so disappointed and so sad that this store would do this to their customer. I do not recommend this store to anyone if they want their money worth it and best experience. This event was a bad experience for me and my partner. Not a store I recommend. Batteries Plus is hands down the worse battery place in Chico and needs to be shut down by the BBB. I bought a battery there a few weeks ago for my car and as soon as I got home my car died on me. I had to have a tow truck come and get my car and put in the shop for a few days. After having a starter and alternator test done on my car we deiced to test out the new battery that I bought from them only to find out it wouldn't hold charge after charging it for four hours!! I went back to return the battery and they were nothing but rude to me. They said that they didn't believe the certificated mechanic or the papers I bought in and made me wait 30-40 mins so they can test the battery. Sure enough it didn't hold charge and they finally gave me my money back. When I asked him to refund my money for the tow truck and car mechanic fees that his faulty product caused he told me " theres no way in hell we will pay for that, you can bet your life on that." After showing him the bills and the test he said "I don't give a shit about your stupid f**king bills. While being totally shocked by the disrespect this old man gave me I couldn't help to notice that they put the same battery right back on the shelf to sell again. When I confronted the manager about it he said that "this happens all the time" and for me to "mind my own god dam business" I then told him that I would be reporting his unethical behavior to the BBB and thats when he and another employee grabbed and ripped my shirt and said "don't you dare threaten me in my store" I told him to not touch me and called the police to file a police report against him. While waiting for the police to come his other employee came after me calling me a " motherf**king pussy and a child" for calling the cops and told me " I am going to come find you, I have your first and last name and know what your car looks like, Enjoy having a keyed up car." Fearing for my safety and my car I had to leave and went directly to the police station myself to file a report. As if all that wasn't bad enough, the manager took my name and looked me up on Google, found my Facebook/Linkedin page emailed my family members and called the company I worked for claiming that I should be punished and get fired for being disrespectful to him and his employees, even though he was clearly in the wrong. Long story short don't buy from this place. The prices are way marked up and you can find all of the batteries they sell for 10x cheaper on Ebay. I have also opened a case against them with the BBB and will be filing a slander and harassment lawsuit against them for defamation.
