Went here two times to get my plan and phones switched over from Sprint. Both service representatives were amazing. They were professional, helpful and made the tedious task very easy. They did everything for us and explained it in detail and even helped us save money. When we walked out of the store we only had to complete one small task to finish the conversion. Incompetent or worse. My phone was having trouble charging. So I took it to Verizon so they could tell me if it was my wall charger or my phone. They claimed it was my phone. My cell phone is my only phone, so I quickly agreed to buy one of their "refurbished" phones for a lot of $$$. 10 minutes later, I had buyer's remorse and tried to cancel my order. Their employees claimed that they couldn't cancel it. Later, the manager tried to cancel it, but failed. I finally returned it after it was mailed to me. The worst part: Once I finally bought a new phone, I tried to use the old wall charger (which works with all Droids -- standard charger). The charger was broken! Not my old phone. Cost: I wasn't due for a discounted phone, so I had to pay hundreds out of pocket for the new phone, plus the cost for accessories (screen protectors, case, etc.), and the cost of a new wall charger (really the only thing I needed before). read more

For starters, it is definitely worth driving somewhere else that does not have poor and extremely slow service. However, if you MUST go to this store, make sure you are prepare to pay about $4 (2 hours) of parking and most importantly, do not get Scott as your representative (especially if you are a minority). Scott does not have the basic customer service skills he needs to do his job, such as introducing himself, welcoming you to the store and talking to you like are a paying customer. He served us twice and we gave him the benefit of the doubt the first time (because everyone has their bad days), but when he did the exact same thing the second time, we finally complained to his manager. Both times he walked away in the middle of everything to help another customer and did not even say anything. He was gone for 10-15 minutes and would never acknowledged the fact that we were still waiting for him to finish his job. We had to get the manager twice so we can finally get what we needed and get out, especially after initially waiting for about 20 minutes to get served. We were speaking to another customer about him, also a person of color, and he had the same complaints about him, especially how he would just walk away, assist someone else and never return. This is not only rude and unacceptable, but I cannot help but feel being discriminated against. I personally will not return to this store because it gives me almost the same headache Comcast does when I call their customer service line. On the bright side, the managers are helpful and they do show that they care about you as a customer to their store and company. If you have any problems, definitely voice it. This place is extremely dishonest in its practice. I wanted a new phone and ended up getting more than just a phone. A fast talking agent sold me a variety of services and equipment. He also promised me that I didn't like the product, I would be able to come back and he would lower my plan to a lower pricing plan. Just for trying out the product. Also, he did not disclose the fact that I am locked into a contract for 2years. Or there would be a penalty to get out of the plan. After several visits and many complaints later, the service I received to resolve the problem was absolutely horrendous. Including the management. I had to jump through hoops and hurdles to get out of my contract. I cannot tell you everything that happened to me, for there is not enough spaces on here to describe my situation to you. At first, the agents are very cordial to sale you items, but they are very quick to dismiss your concerns and complaints after the sale. It is the worst Verizon store in town. Never had a problem elsewhere. Be careful of what they try to sale you here. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. These guys are crooks. Be Forewarned! read more

Salesman lied about the price for me to change phones. Received much higher price on my bill and then the managers did not respond to calls. Was lied to multiple times saying that the charge would be removed from my bill. Do not trust anyone at this location! read more

I ended up going across the street to the AT&T store. I was greeted right away, no one tried to sell me anything I didn't want, there was no bait and switch, no "activation fee," no deceitful practices that I sensed. Very different experience from the Verizon store. read more

I am very unhappy after many visits to this store. The most egregious was a disaster. It took hours to transition two old phones on the same plan to new phones. Because I had not backed up my iPhone photos, the lady helping me said she would do it wirelessly and hold the phone in the store for a few days to ensure I could retrieve them all before it got traded in. You know where this is going, right? Only a fraction of the photos transferred over, and when I went back to ask about it the next day, they had shipped the phone out, which means there was no way to ever retrieve them. I do not trust their competency AT ALL, and I lost years of photos taken on my phone. read more

This Verizon is a great place to shop. I live in DC and have found the local Verizon office in downtown DC and Union Station to be very unfriendly and to be more concerned with selling that assisting. So, the other day I walked into the Baltimore Verizon on Fleet Street and was welcomed with a smile and professional, friendly service. That's really all it takes, yet seems to be so difficult for some companies. "Gmaal", one of the managers, addressed my needs instantly. Wait time was not that long, and I was checked on to make sure I'd been helped. I not only purchased a phone from them, but had problems and returned the next day! The problem was solved immediately, with a smile and sense of humor as added bonus. It was actually fun to shop here, and while there, I witnessed customers of all ages being treated respectfully and in a genuinely courteous manner. I overheard one associate very carefully and in a friendly manner explaining how to use a cell phone to a very elderly lady. As for my experience, I have special thanks for Nytalie, Sherice and Chris who were terrific to work with, fun and very professional.( Plus, the building is very cool, archectically speaking!) Smoothest and fastest experience I've ever had getting a new phone. Literally took less than 10 minutes from walking in the door. A big shout out to Solutions Specialist Scott Eshleman for being very cordial and doing such a wonderful job. 10/10 would upgrade again. read more

If you are planning on going to Verizon but hesitate due to the low reviews on sites like these and Google, please read on. My recent visit with the Harbor East store was nothing short of fantastic; not only was the staff courteous and approachable, but they definitely have strong knowledge on the plans and products that they offer. Perhaps you had a bad experience in the past, however, it is now evident that they are turning things around for an overall great customer experience.
