It was facing major software issues ! I went where I purchased my iPhone only to discover my warranty had expired! I was to go to an Apple repair place for a diagnostic. That to me meant I had to invest some serious cash to repair it. I was strapped on cash but hey it's my only source of communication so I was going to do that. But luckily my daughter told me of the gentleman that was going to fix her iPhone and she suggested he should take a look at it. So I did he arrived safely with his mask worked on my daughter's phone then mine. And low and behold it was a simple fix! I didn't have to go to the Apple store for repairs! So I'm back on track with my device! The repair was simple at least for him. And he didn't even charge me! God bless him! So before you go to a place that will charge you an arm or a leg check him out first . He'll let you know if your phone is worth saving!. Check out www.iTechFixit.com or call 203-942-3905. My son's iPhone 5 battery had died, so I asked them to replace it - $40, which was $9 cheaper than the original place. They told me it would take 30 minutes, and 4 minutes later, it was done. So I said, hey, I have an iPhone 6 myself, the screen has a crack, how much would that be to replace? They said that the screen and LCD would be $50 - and I had been quoted $79 in Los Angeles. They said 30 minutes. While I waited, I saw a gorgeous steampunk-looking case on the wall, and asked how much that was. They said $10, so I bought it - better than surfing Amazon through 700 Hello Kitty cases to find something half as cool. 15 minutes later (not 30), he was done with my repair. He said, do you want a screen protector for your phone? I thought, hell no, I hate those bubbly plastic protectors. But he said he could put a glass one on there. I thought, no way am I going to spend $30 for that. He quoted me $10. So I got one for each phone. So in 20 minutes, and for $120, I got all of that stuff purchased and fixed on two phones. I live in Los Angeles, 2500 miles away, but I'm tempted, given their prices and kindness and speed of service, to fly back to CT the next time I have a cell phone repair.

In January, my husband, son and I went to the Newtown Verizon store to upgrade our phones. Tory and Bruno made a big deal out of the fact that we could get a 4th line and phone for free because of a promo and the way the pricing on 3 vs 4 lines works. We were not interested in a phone we didn't need but they talked us into it. We finally agreed because we thought it would be nice to have an extra phone in case one broke. We did not have a 4th phone to trade in because at that point, we only had 3 phones and 3 lines. Bruno said not to worry about that, he had a phone that could be used for the trade-in. Fast forward to our next bill and the 4th phone is not free, we are paying $13/month for it. I stopped into the store several times and was told that it can take several billing cycles for the trade-in to go through. Bruno moved to the Bethel Verizon store so I started calling there too. I also called Verizon corporate multiple times and they can't do anything because it is an issue with the local store. Bruno now says that he's got it worked out that rather than taking the money off the monthly bill, Verizon is going to give us a credit for the phone - $180 in June and $180 in July. Sounds great - until the June bill with no credit. I call him again - which always takes days because the Bethel store doesn't always answer their phone and Bruno is always with a customer - and he says the automatic credit didn't go through so he will have to do it manually and he has a sticky note to do it on his computer. July comes - no credit. The cycle repeats for August. Recently, I called the Newtown Store (since that was were we originally went) and asked for a manager - Billy who is new so none of this is his fault. Billy calls Verizon corporate and they say that there was no promo for a free phone for the 4th line. He also talked to his boss. They say there is nothing they can do. Someone is not telling the truth and the local stores need to stand behind what their employees are telling customers even if they lose money on the deal. Don't trust anything a local store says without verifying with Verizon corporate.
