Every time I go home, I stop here. Delicious food, queso and margaritas, I always leave full and a little bit tipsy. Just how I like it.

This place is always crowded and they have a few tvs by the bar and on the outside patio. The menu is simple and amazing. I haven't had anything here that id didn't like. The drinks are good and strong and fairly priced. The tacos are huge two will probably fill you up. Definitely will be returning and parking is free as well. A fun trendy place. read more

Good food, sad service. Other reviews seem to say the same. I should have known when I signed in on a busy Fri night and they lost my name. After I watched a vacant table for a while, I asked and ... they finally seated the 4 of us, no apology, on the back patio. Place was chock full of ill-behaved kids (guess that goes with Brookhaven yuppies.) We started with mediocre Calamari -- served promptly by the quick food runner, but unfortunately, no silverware. We asked the waitress - she forgot, but the food runner came through for us. We ordered frozen maragaritas - 2 glasses with salt, 2 without. She brought 3 glasses with salt... didn't bother to ask. When we ordered, waitress didn't take the menus away. We left the empty calamri basket on top of the menus. She took the basket, but left the menus -- and the dirty plates. Taco selection was excellent - chimichurri, grilled fish, chili shrimp. Food runner again was quick, got all the orders to the right people -- but eating tacos is messy. We asked the waitress for more napkins; they never came. By this time, the unruly kid at the next table was banging this long railing back and forth, creating a ruckus, and this little blond kid was playing policeman with his LED flashlight all over the place. Asked the waitress what they do when kids act like thist. She replies "if the parents don't say something, we don't either. Is it bothering you?" And so it continued. VT is a nice place for lunch, but I'd stay away on Fri night, unless you go after toddler bed time. And, if you can, tip the food runner instead of the waitress. Great food! Great people! Great service! My husband loves the calamari taco, and the new black & blue quesadilla. I love the grilled chicken tacos, the salads, and the chicken tortilla soup. The wine list started out a little pricey, and has since come down in price. I only wish they could make mojitos. read more

For the inexpensive price of the food, it is fresh and tasty. The service is fast and to the point. Verde is a good spot for a quick bite. Just make sure you go there early on the weekends. The wait for a table could get annoying sometimes. read more

Verde is a tex mex, american style tacoria. The tacos are great, and the margaritas are also delicious. The food is good, I'd say about on par with Noche, but more quiet and better service. What else can I say? I've only had good experiences with this place, and I go about once a month. read more

I was there today and had to go get our drinks from the bar after the server let them sit there for ten minutes. The host, seeing me grab them, went over to the bar and checked the ticket to make sure I hadn't jacked the drinks. She didn't come over and apologize for the server letting them sit there. Prices are okay. The room is a bit odd. Modern with a couple of pictures of people wearing sombreros. And a generic, cheap wood hutch in a corner for iced tea and condiment storage. I love the tacos and margaritas here, and I usually get the chili shrimp, veggie, and grilled fish. The vibe varies depending on how busy it is, and it can get extremely noisy during lunch hour. I've ordered lunch to go a few times just because it was too loud and the wait was long. Tried this place for lunch for the first time today. Ordered the fish taco and buffalo chicken taco. The grilled catfish was AMAZING. Such a clean taco and light. The crunchy, crispy cole slaw on it is sooo fresh and the handmade sourcream sauce that they use is PERFECTLY seasoned. Wish I had ordered 2 of those instead. This is a great neighborhood place to grab some fresh mex fast. If you go too early in the evening, you will be overwhelmed by screaming children. Wait a while and go after 8. I've been here twice with good friends and the place is cozy and has a patio which is really nice is it is just the right temperature outside. Limited menu makes it easy to choose. The tacos are innovative and delicious. My favorite is the pulled pork taco. The only downside I've experienced here is bad service. It's happened on separate visits. I recently met a group of friends here after work for dinner. The food was good but it just was not Mexican. The tacos had no Mexican spices that I could taste. They were essentially meat (or veggies) wrapped in a tortilla. The food was good quality but the spice and flavor was severely lacking. Additionally the service was also lacking. Server seemed disinterested the entire time. This may be a good spot to get drinks and chips/salsa/guac/cheese dip but I would not recommend it for a meal unless you are spice averse. read more

I highly recommend the Fried Calamari tacos. They were my favorite and definitely a reason I will be coming back. The Short Rib Taco and the Pulled Pork tacos come LOADED with meat...maybe too much. However, I enjoyed the flavor of both. There was just so much meat that the condiments kinda got lost. The salsa was OK. The three stars are only because the food is really good. They are probably good for take out versus dine-in since the waiters disappear as soon as you order. Our person didn't even bring out anything other than the drinks and check. The customer service leaves a lot to be desired. This place is pretty cool and very close to my house, I could actually walk there if I wasn't so lazy. I love Mexican food, but not the same 'ol crap. Cute little spot in a cute little area! Found a table easily but, the place definately got packed as the night went on. Interesting mix of families and after work crowd. Food came out fast, really fast..almost the scary way. But, it was good and the portions were nicely sized as well. The Guac is a must try with huge chunks of fresh avacado! I tried the BBQ taco and the special of the night - Philly taco. The bbq was good and the Philly was alright. I drive by Verde twice a day and have never stopped in. Tonight, we were looking for a late night (for us) snack, and stopped in around 9:30. We had the tortilla soup, short rib taco, and a cheese quesadilla with short rib added. I wish we could have eaten everything on the menu. Great food, great service! We'll be back. read more

Service can be hit or miss, but the food seems to be consistently good, but not great. Rarely have I been there when there wasn't a wait.

Went here for lunch.. staff had an attitude when we asked Him about the size of the portions and then we found hair in our food, we weren't asked for desserts when he got us our check. read more
