La Fonda was a delicious and cute spot for us to eat. We came on a weekday after work and were able to get a seat immediately outside. The Paella was delicious and the chips and salsa kept coming. It's difficult to find affordable paella at times but La Fonda certainly lived up to the standard!

Came here because I was craving enchiladas- I wanted shrimp but that's not on the menu and they said I can't do a substitution. Started with queso which was meh- kind of grainy, not the best texture. Tried the salmon enchilada and was SUPER underwhelmed! Not much flavor, cheese wasn't melted on top. Wtf kind of "Mexican" food is this!? I should have stuck with my usual go-to Nuevo Laredo. One of my biggest pet peeves is spending money on food that isn't AMAZING. I won't be back.

Okay. So we had a taste for Mexican & it was a bit late & we seen this spot & decided to give it a go. I had two beef tacos with beans & rice. The little one had the kids meal with one beef taco, beans & rice. He had the same with no shell & the ribeye with the grilled veggies . Let me say, the meat didn't have much flavor. But it was okay. The rice & beans wasn't good at all. My 5yr old didn't even like it. & kids love rice & beans... it's always a go to for kiddos. I just ate the tacos. The tea was REALLY GOOD. Price was cool. But I can say- service was good! That's why I am giving the two stars! The waitress made sure we had refills & the staff was very nice.

The food here is ALWAYS good! It's fresh, hot, and very delicious! They also have prompt service. I ONLY hated ordering online and picking up curbside. Besides that, everything's perfect!

This place is always empty but the food is delicious. The queso is bomb and so are the enchiladas.

Mediocre Mexican. Luke warm service. Cuban sandwiches were OK: glorified ham sandwich. Disappointed

Casi Cielo - Coliflor al Josper is a smoky and beautifully spiced vegetarian entree, dotted with avocado purée. Highly recommend!

Fives across the board…read more Casi Cielo is incredible. The space is warm and beautiful without trying too hard, and the crowd was hip and well dressed. Definitely a place to be seen and eat well. There's a parking garage but it was full when we got there, so we did valet, which was surprisingly affordable. Service was wonderful. Our server was attentive, helpful, and super knowledgeable about the menu. As for the food, we got: Aguachile de Pescado, which was insane. Super fresh, bright, citrusy, ceviche-like with perfect texture. I would go back just for that. The Hamachi was clean and bright. That avocado sauce tied everything together and gave it some depth without overpowering the fish. The Pork Belly Tostadas were crispy and rich with that smooth avocado mousse and sweet mango salsa balancing it out perfectly. Finally, the bone marrow with steak... so good. I had seen pictures of it before I came and it did not disappoint. The steak was incredibly tender. They bring blue corn tortillas and suggest making a taco with the marrow, steak, and avocado. It's great that way. But honestly, the marrow and steak stand perfectly on their own. Whole experience was excellent. Easily one of my favorite spots in the city now.

Wanted to love it…read more The vibes are there, the staff is genuinely lovely, and there's real potential here, we just had a bit of an adventure getting through the meal. We had someone in our party with a gluten allergy, and our sweet server was doing his absolute best, bless. We were steered away from the tostadas as a starter due to gluten concerns, so we pivoted to guac...which then arrived with a gluten-free tostada. So the tostadas would have been totally fine! Then a good while after we'd all ordered, she was told her entrée had gluten and needed to be changed. She reordered, and almost immediately, the rest of the table's food came out. So we were left choosing between eating without her or letting everything go cold. And the plantains she'd reordered around, because she'd been told they couldn't be made gluten-free? Turns out they absolutely can be. Just miss after miss there. The spicy margarita was more of a margarita that once passed a jalapeño on the street. I asked for extra jalapeño juice and they were happy to help, but without the seeds and ribs it just couldn't deliver on the heat. I'd skip the margs next visit. This just wasn't quite the relaxed easy dinner we'd hoped for, and the price point feels like it's a step ahead of where the experience currently lands. But I'm rooting for them to get there!
