Came here to wash our comforter (apartment washer is too small). Pro's: -Wifi -Cards can be swiped on larger machines & dryers -Washers are clean & not smelly -Came on a Saturday at 2:00-Plenty of room. -The large washer I used only took 20 min & $7.50 (vs $45 & 48hrs for comforter washing in Scottsdale). Con's: -Could use more chairs -pretty warm (no A/C) but large fans made a huge difference. -General atmosphere - could use a deep clean on the floors & ceilings (though washers & dryers are perfectly clean!!) read more

Vera's Laundromat - Laundromat Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Great laundromat with friendly, helpful staff. Pricing is reasonable and the service is wonderful.

Fantastic customer service. New owners and you can tell they are adding updates and better technology. Reyna did the most beautiful wash and fold- clothes were perfectly cleaned, smelled wonderful and folded to perfection. It's nice to have a local place to support instead of the big chain laundromats. Will be back! read more

Vera's is so clean! Machines are clean and well maintained. Helpful staff. My clothes always feel and smell clean.

Great service. Owner on premises was very helpful and assisted me in using the machines. Place was clean and machines worked well. A bit expensive for large machines ($9) but worth it for large loads like comforters. Neighborhood is a bit shady but not to many good laundromats in town. Highly recommended. read more

Sometimes, things happen, and we don't understand the reasoning behind them. Therefore, I am changing my review. I should've done this sooner because my dad still loves going to the laundromat. They do a wonderful job on his clothes and he is happy and basically that's all that matters. read more

I have my stuff fluff and folded here. They do a great job. At a great price. The place is clean and its never real busy. Lots of parking. Easy in and out of driveway. read more

UPDATE FROM MY LAST REVIEW: Like i stated in my last review, this was going to be my new go to laundry mat. And it was. This was the only laundry mat i was going to since i moved here 4/5 months ago, today... that changed today and i will not be going back. 2 of the washers broke while my clothes was washing. And i had to move my soaking wet clothes to other washes and pay for the other washers. It's not my fault they broke. Also when the lady working told me i had to move my clothes to another washer i asked her if i had to pay for it since it broke, and she was rude and extended her arm out to point to the washers and was like "well yea". Very disappointed. Won't be returning. read more

Very sorry about any emergency but there are four people that I have seen for years working there. How do you just abandon your business and take our clothes? read more

No washer and dryer for a month. Needing to do laundry so based on reviews I came to Vera's. Rena was very helpful, who is working here and people were nice. Easy to find and pretty busy first thing in the morning. They also have laundry services to drop off and pick up later. read more

Did you know that it is very expensive to take a king comforter and /or mattress pads to a cleaners? Been years since I have had to look for a laundromat with large capacity drums for king comforters/mattress pads as I had a large capacity washer before I moved. I saw a few reviews and decided to go for the 16 mile drive. Vera's is clean and had 5 large capacity front load washers. I used them all. There are approx. 36 standard size washers and 22 large front load dryers. Nothing was out of order. There is laundry service available. It was quiet when I got there on a Monday in the early afternoon. By the time I left it was 5 PM and it was getting busy. There is a single, clean bathroom available. There are a few seats inside and some plastic lawn chairs outside. A small flat screen TV tuned to CNN for some noise. For the price of cleaning 2 comforters I was able to clean and dry 1 king comforter, 4 king mattress pads and 2 blankets. I'll be back to clean my sleeping bags. read more

Note: I did not use any of the machines; my review is based on the was, fluff, and fold service. My washer and dryer went on strike. It was one of those weekends I had too much stuff to do, and worrying about my laundry was the last thing I wanted to add onto my list. I called Vera's and the woman I spoke to was very helpful. I decided to take a leap of faith and hauled my dirty laundry up to the shop (including the still-wet denim I pulled out of the washer when it stopped, mid cycle). She explained she would weigh everything after she dried it because my jeans would have cost so much more while wet, for which I was thankful! My laundry was finished before the time estimated, and everything was neatly folded or hung up and bagged for me to pick up. The facility, itself, was very clean - notably clean. I didn't use any of the machines, myself, but if I had to, this would be a place I'd consider it; but with how affordable the wash service was, I don't know if I'd go any other way. Now that my washer and dryer are fully functioning, I'm trying - really hard - to stay motivated to do my own wash instead of outsourcing all laundry to Vera's!! read more

I have a king-sized comforter that won't fit in my washer at home and I always bring it here. The place is clean and the attendant here is always nice. You can also drop off laundry and have them wash it for you! read more

Really nice place to do my large blankets and comforters. Been coming her for years. Staff is great and the machines accept debit/credit cards. read more

This laundry facility has not updated ANYTHING in 50 years! They keep it clean-ish, but the feel is still cruddy. The only thing I can say good about Vera's is that my clothes are clean and dry. read more

The first and last time I went, this place was crowded. It seemed a little out of date to me, and the people that were here didn't speak English and let their children run around barefoot while screaming. (Not trying to be racist at all, that kind of behavior is just annoying) Needless to say, I'm sure I can find a better place to do laundry until my landlord fixes my dryer. read more

I've only used their Wash n Fold service twice now. My clothes were always ready next day as they said it would be. All my clothes were beautifully folded along with some shirts on a hanger(unexpected but very nice touch). I would have given 5 stars if I didn't have any annoying druggies begging me for money in the parking lot. It's not really the business's fault that some people are roaming the parking lot back and forth from the gas station next door. read more

My gf was angry coming to pick me up from work today. Do you want to know why. Because they shit don't work and boss lady there was coming at her sideways with some gnarly bs!! She was angry coming to get me. Do you know what that's like! And then shit went sideways the rest of the trip home! Long story short...shit steamrolled downhill from this place and now I have an angry gf to please! No pun intended..Thanks laundromat people! read more

The owner of this place is seriously rude and has zero customer service skills. Maybe because she's the owner she doesn't feel like she needs to be polite. But seriously I would never give this place my business with her being that rude. There are a million laundromats in this area so I suggest going to one where the owner doesn't treat you like crap. Maybe if she actually starts to need business she won't be so mean. read more

I just used Vera's laundry for the first time as I haven't needed a laundromat in years - but traveling and found the need. Extremely CLEAN and Cathy (who was constantly cleaning the washing machines) was so polite - even offering to help me bring my things to the car - I declined but what a wonderful lady and so considerate. I WILL be back. So reasonably priced too!!! Great experience read more

Vera's was great! Fast, reliable, and everything was well done. They even found money in my pocket and put it in a little bag for me. I had no idea I had even left money in my pocket. Very nice people. read more

All of the machines only put out cold water and the machines only fill up halfway with water. Drying takes a long time. There is no tables or places to cold your clothes, no heat or air, and people smoke right in front of the door so the whole place reeks of cigarettes like a bar. We came here with many loads of laundry to do since we are traveling in our RV. I began putting clothes in the washers and also my soap once there was enough water to dissolve the soap. Once I had all of the clothes in, I realized that none of the machines had hot water and none of them were filling past half full! My son's clothes came out with dirt still on them, I had take sopping wet clothes out of machines so I could do half loads, and subsequently ran out of soap since I had to do this. Do not recommend. This place is scamming you by not providing hot water and setting the machines so that they don't fill with water to capacity. read more

We had to go to a Laundromat because we were waiting for our washer and dryer to be delivered. We checked Yelp and found Vera's and we could not be happier. It was clean and we were able to get all of our laundry done fast and easy. If you have to go to a Laundromat, go to Vera's! read more

Fair prices, good customer attention, plenty of washers and dryers, you can use your card ( no need of coins or customer loyalty card). I did a massive laundry in 2 hours read more

This is by far my new fave place to do laundry. Its cleaner than most facilities. The attendant is nice and very helpful. She seems to know the regulars that come in weekly. Which lets me knows her customer service is good. Fortunately when I came it was appeared to be on a slow day. I also seen a few people use the drop off service. All in all I will definitely use this laundry facility should I ever need to use one. read more

The machines work, they have a TV, the staff are very helpful and polite. The decor well it 's a laundry Matt Outdated butt clean.

I brought 2 dogs bed and king comforter here. 2 of the large load washers were broken, so I could only use 1. I wont be coming here again, not enough large load washing machines to use. They only had 3 of them working today. In going somewhere else next time read more

The BEST fluff and fold EVER! The nicest ladies run it. My clothes have never been so clean or smelled so good. They were treated with such care. They are also reasonably priced. read more

These guys are the best! I have used there drop off service and in house laundry for years and have never been disappointed. Very friendly owner and staff as well. I should have written this review a year ago but it really sparked when they included $80 that I had left in one of my pockets on this last trip. Love these guys!! read more

Okay service- facilities dated and some not working properly (leaking into floor). No soda in machine. I used drop off service- woman at the front looked annoyed she had to put her magazine down to help me. I dropped off at noon, she said my clothes would be ready after 530. I thought that was a long time for 1 small bag of clothes. Turns out she left it for the next person coming in and didn't tell her what time I was quoted to pick it up so when I returned at 530 nothing was folded. This poor lady who was dumped on by her co worker was very nice, informed me of the error and worked diligently to complete everything while I waited. Took awhile but for $20 not bad for wash and fold service. read more

Can you believe it. Today was my first time at a laundromat. Had to wash my comforter. I read some of the reviews for Vera's place and thought I would give it a try. I was very pleased with the superb customer service that I received from Reyna. The clientele was very friendly and helpful as well. I was in and out in under an hour for a very reasonable price. Spent like $7.00 in total. Not bad considering that to have it dry cleaned would have been about $45.00. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends living close by. Thank you again Reyna.
