4 1/2 years ago. My hubby and I sold our Cafe we had for 17 years and started a home-based dog sitting business. We absolutely love it! And at least twice a month, I come to Wavemax at this 32nd St & Greenway location to use their 60 lb washers to wash all the dog blankets, pillows and rugs and I also wash all my comforters here too! Been coming here for years, Alex was one of the first employees I got to know, super friendly & helpful! Today I came & used 5 of the 60 lb washers and I mentioned to the attendant, Crystal if anyone ever turned in a laundry card with money on it because I couldn't find mine so I had to buy a new one and load it. She checked the two cards that were turned in, and they were not mine, but she mentioned that she would call the owner to see if they could possibly retrieve the dollar amount on my old card since it was registered in my name, but did not make any guarantees. Within a few minutes, she looked for me and let me know that they are going to put the balance I had on my old card on the new card, which was to me a substantial amount! Crystal is really nice & also helpful. This place is clean, the bathroom can only be opened by an employee and it is very clean and every time I've come the staff are always nice! And I love the fact that it's next-door to a Food city in case you're hungry and want to go get something from their deli! LOL!! If you got a lot to wash and not a lot of time, this is the place to come! Their dryers only take 20 minutes and they dry super excellent! And if your card is registered to your name and phone number, it actually alerts you when a washer and dryer is done! I love it!! I've been really busy lately, so I decided to just avail their wash-and-fold laundry service instead of doing it myself. Overall, it was a good experience and definitely saved me a lot of time. The staff handled everything, and I appreciated not having to worry about sorting or waiting around. My clothes came back clean, neatly folded, and smelling fresh. Nothing was missing, and everything was organized nicely in the bag, which I really liked. The turnaround time was reasonable, and the pricing felt fair for the convenience. I'm giving four stars because it was more practical than exceptional, but it was reliable and stress-free. When my schedule gets packed again, I'd use their service without hesitation. read more

Exceeded my expectations by far! Plenty of large and very clean machines and also the medium or the regular size if you prefer. The large machine where I could do four loads at one time or sheets and towels at one time, has a cost of only eight dollars which I think is worth my time for 14 minutes of heavy duty washing. Clean and decent machines and helpful staff. I went tonight because the machines at my hotel are only available via download an app and it doesn't work often. I was looking for a laundromat that I didn't have to down anything! The staff person helped me by giving me a card that I was able to load cash into and it worked their machines just fine. After a horrible experience at Greenway Laundromat, I went to WaveMax and it was great! Greenway had no one there to get help from when there was a problem with their wash machine. I even called their number, only to have to leave messages, twice! I then went to a nearby WaveMax, and there was someone there that assisted me to get started. The wave Max on 32Nd St. An Greenway is trash. I am used to going to the one on 15th Ave. and Camelback and that one is way nicer. After using that one. I thought they would all be the same but no the one on 32Nd St. An Greenway is trash. it's hot as hell people walking around moving fans and I can't be mad because most of the people that are moving. The fans on them are with babies and the babies are like sweating. The floors are dirty. The prices are all super high with the same amount of wash time I will never be coming to this one again. It sucks because I moved the one on 15th Ave. and Camelback. I'm willing to drive 20 minutes just to use that one next time. read more

I've got 4 XL Ruggable Rugs that just don't wash at home. This place offers up to 60lb capacity washers which were perfect for scrubbing these large rugs down. About $9 each with the extra wash and rinse. A dry cleaners wanted $300 per rug. I would say this makes coming to this laundromat a true value! They have a card system. You load $ onto a card and use that to pay on each machine. XL drying machines makes this trip an easy 1hr breeze. Overall very clean and plenty of places to sit. The staff was exceptionally kind. My least favorite laundry mat experience. Despite bringing my normal laundry supplies, my clothes all had a funky smell and I found lots of random hair that didn't belong to my household. I watched the employees who were performing the paid laundry service drop people's clean clothes and other items on the dirty floor, pick them and put them with the clean stuff in the basket. It's not the worst but it's not the best laundry mat. read more

I use wavemax for my business laundry. They usually have it done in 3 hours after I drop it off, even though I don't need it in the same day. Very professional, clean atmosphere. I'd recommend this place. I've also dropped off my down comforters to be cleaned and again, same day. Easier than having to do it myself. read more

This is a very nice clean place. I had to take my king size comforter get washed. They have large front loading washers. The payment was a little confusing but a nice women explained that your have to purchase a card to use the washer. In less than 30 minutes I had a clean comforter. Highly recommend read more

This is the cleanest, newest, most high tech laundromat ive ever been to in my entire life. I washed my 'Ruggable' rug into a medium sized washer for 4.99. Strong ac and all the fans kept me cool. This is our definite go-to laundromat for washing our comforters! The machines are always clean and very efficient. Overall facility is clean as well. Lots of seating and 2 vending machines: one for snacks and one for detergent. I love that it's well lit and right next to Food City & other stores, for those that want to kill time. Service is great, the workers are informative and accommodating. We had a chance to meet the owner tonight, actually, since we were the last customers of the night. She is very sweet and you can tell she cares about her business & the customers that she serves. Highly recommend this facility! read more

No wonder their ratings are off the charts... wanna know the last time I went to a laundromat? 1998... I actually showed up at this place today with a bunch of quarters... That's how outdated I am... The owner was absolutely amazing, she was smiling, and was a very positive/helpful woman that helped me get everything going in 3 minutes... She really went above and beyond the call of duty and helped me when she didn't have to... You could tell she takes pride in her business, and everything is in wonderful condition. So glad we found this place! I will definitely be back!! Superb laundry facility---machines are kept new and excellent condition-- attendants are there to help if you are not familiar with the process. They are also equipped to do the laundry for you if you cannot wait; Best laundry experience in my life and I am an old dog at 70. I absolutely love this place! I've been using their service since the opening and they take the best Care of me every time. Normally I'm using their service because I have a housekeeping business and I just like to reward myself by not having to do my own personal laundry It always comes back beautifully folded smells fresh things that I would hang are hung on a hanger and in plastic. If you ever want to get a sense of nostalgia, and get your comforter clean this is the place to go. It's a mixture of home and someplace new. The machines are very modern however the feel and the aesthetics of the lobby feels comfortably familiar. They have large washing machines here that fit two large comforters. We needed to have some larger items washed they would not fit in our personal washer. We scoped out the general area we live in and found WaveMax Laundry. We were not disappointed, the establishment was clean and had plenty of washer and dryers. The ladies at the front were attentive and pleasant. I even noticed how kind the ladies were to the kids who ask to use the restroom. We will definitely use this laundry establishment for our needs. It's hard to find somewhere you feel safe, is clean, and does a good job on the articles being washed and dried. WaveMax definitely met our expectations! read more

Very clean environment and tons of washing machines. They also have a restroom which is nice. You'll be hard pressed to find many laundromats with a restroom for customers. The vending machine prices for laundry soap/dryer sheets/softener are reasonable as well (reasonably priced as they can be). I really had high hopes for this places based on everything I described so far... however, whatever laundry service this place is offering, has a client that either grooms dogs are has a doggy daycare. My load of laundry once done smelt like dog. It was absolutely disgusting I didn't have time to run another load nor did I bring enough soap with me. I doubt I'll be coming back again after this experience and clearly knowing they use the same machines as customers to wash items that have been used to clean dogs. Definitely not sanitary if the machine still reeks enough to stick to someone else's clothes... and trust me, I am liberal on putting in soap, fabric softener, and bleach! read more

It is always a bad day when your washer dies! My repairman was waiting on a part, so off the the laundromat I used them weekly for 3 weeks. During the first visit,in the morning, I was met with some guys doing meth on the west side of the building as I was packing my car up. That is never good. I went back in to tell the young gal working. She said it happens all the time, and they feel uneasy working in those conditions. The second visit was late afternoon. It was quite warm. I chalked it up to the afternoon sun bearing into the large windows. The third visit was unbearable. This was also a morning visit. There was a young man working. When I asked what was going on, he said the owner of the building was out of town and he needs to get the a/c fixed. I told him that it is the laundromat owners responsibility. He rolled his eye. (Funny, as I was finishing, the owner showed up to meet the a/c tech). While I was in this sauna, the load I did did not look clean. There was still some dog hair on black tshirt. At home, hair always comes out in the wash and dryer. That is what a working machine does. His explanation, " yeah, sometimes that happens" Then I just mention rhst the dryer did not dry the towels all the way. I wasn't looking for my 1.69 back, I was just telling him thst it might need to be checked out. He just gave me a blank stare. Thank goodness I do t have to go back in the near future. read more
