Wow. I had no idea doing laundry required a certification. Apparently I've been doing it wrong my whole life. You can't just use any washer -- there are specific machines, a specific way to pour the soap, and a sacred dryer temperature and time you must follow... or else. There are no clear instructions, just someone popping up to correct you. The unsolicited advice quickly turns into raised voices if you're not doing it their way. You feel watched like a hawk the entire time. And for a place with this many rules, it's not even that clean. If you enjoy being micromanaged while washing your clothes, this is the place for you. Our washing machine is broken so we popped into Papa's to do all of our laundry. It was a pleasant surprise. Everyone there was very helpful and we were able to get all of our laundry done in about an hour and a half. They helped us with change and which machines would be best for us. read more

Papa's laundry, Shirley, and Chase are great people, what a asset to this establishment. Shirley helped me to get the oversize wash tubs going, and even asked if I needed help folding my laundry. Chase had to chase me out the door once, almost twice to give me back Quarters that I had to get for the machines, remember this is a coin operated laundry mat. Chase was so helpful, he also held the door for me twice as I was getting stuff in and out. The place is pretty rundown but it looks like it did have newer washers and dryers in some areas. 12 dollars to do one load and then refused to wash 3 blankets.... We even tested it and put them in all and there was extra room. There was people right next to us actually overfilling and he didn't say anything to them. read more

Found this place by Apple Maps, very clean. Young man Chase was very nice and helpful. Opened the door , was cleaning machines and just very helpful and nice. I was having issues with one of the dryers not registering the quarters, Chase helped and fixed it and gave me the credit the machine didn't register. The machines were not the best but could also be I had large comforters. The cost of the machines was pricey but I guess that's everything right now. Overall good experience, clean and friendly worker! Will definitely be back if in need. read more

Visited during our cross country RV trip. There are two assistants (wish I could remember their names so I could give a shout out to them) who are very friendly and helpful. Prices were higher (3.50/ load of wash) than what we paid at our last stop (Lake Havasu, AZ campground 2.50/load - exact same washing machines). We were in and out in less than an hour! Here are the pro's: big facility, staff on site & helpful. Con's: long drive from camping location at Cave Creek RP, old machines (another customer warned me which driers don't heat, but not marked as broken), and the worst of all, EXPENSIVE! I had 2 normal sized loads, but was told to use the front loader "double" washers for $4.50, since the "single" top loaders at $3.50 only fill half way with water - huh?! The dryers give you X amount of time per 25 cents. It took 4 quarters to get most of my laundry dry. The jeans were a bit damp, but I hung those up at the trailer when we got back. Cave Creek needs more laundromats for some competition! read more

She was ending her shift and then a man came up to me and told me if I had any questions to let him know. I think every business should be ran like this. They are very helpful. My washer broke and I had 6 loads of laundry to do. Dreading going to a laundromat, I chose Papa's because it is fairly close to where I live. I went around noon on a Saturday and there were plenty of open washers and dryers. Tim, the attendant was very helpful explaining the different washers and the best value. My clothes came out clean, the establishment is very clean, chairs to sit in, big folding tables, and Tim never stopped moving. He was cleaning out machines as loads completed their cycles, greeting people as they came in and even helped me load my car. I highly recommend! read more

This facility is located in the Cave Creek Plaza strip mall, in the same area where Sherwin-Williams paints is located. The lady that was working the floor was extremely helpful and nice. This is a coin operated facility so be sure to bring cash in $1, $5, $10 & $20 bill denominations if you need quarters. This isn't a new or fancy place; it's simple and clean. They have a TV, restroom and plenty of parking. If you need to wash some comforters, sleeping bags or tons of laundry at once, give this place a try. read more

I have a washer and dryer at home but when my dog got his muddy paws all over my daughters light colored comforter and it was too big to wash in my washer, I found this place. If I need any type of laundry services again I will definitely return. When I got there, I was greeted by the man running the place and he showed me how to use the extra large washer. He even gave me some spray n wash stain remover to spray on the muddy paw prints for no charge! The washer was $8 and I was able to get the comforter dry with $2. They provided the change I needed for the quarters and were very helpful with everything. I was extra impressed because both of the extra large washers were in use when I got there, so I had to wait a few minutes. As I was about to put the blanket in the washer, he had me wait for a minute so he could thoroughly clean it out! The place was very clean, everyone in there was nice, and the cardinals game was on the television. I highly recommend if you need a clean, friendly, safe laundry mat. read more

I needed to launder my king-sized bedspread. Last time I took it to the cleaners where I paid almost $50.00. I wasn't doing THAT again. The attendants at Papa's Laundry were extraordinarily helpful...like unbelievable! They helped me wad the bedspread into the machine, suggested the soap to use, helped me lug it to the dryer and advised me on how to get the bedspread to dry quicker. I spent about $12.00. Coin machine and carts, plus the lovely fragrance of laundry (really!). read more

Came here to do quite a bit of laundry. The woman who greeted us when we came in was nice and gave us a bit of information as what machines are best for what and where to fill them to. Everything was going just fine until a gentleman either showed up for his shift or came back from lunch. While I stepped outside my husband was sitting next to the industrial machines that fit 9 loads of laundry. We filled it to where the woman said we could and then this gentleman felt that the machine was too full. Proceeded to tell my husband we filled it too much and that it will break the machine. When I came back in I grabbed everything out of the machine and was putting it into the dryer where I was stopped by the same man to say I had put enough in it and reprimanded that the washer was way way too full. The entire rest of the time we were in the laundromat we were watched and felt extremely uncomfortable. The amount he said to fill the washer is not worth the $9 to run the machine. Ended up not even washing some of our clothes and left with still damn clothes. read more

Clean, affordable, and the staff are there to help out. It's been busy most of the times I have been there. They only have two of the very large washers (I go there to wash my king sized comforters and quilts) so you may have to wait a bit if you're looking to use them. I just usually bring a book with me and I have never waited more than 30-45 minutes to use one. $20 was enough to wash & dry 2 king comforters and 2 king quilts. I drive from S Scottsdale to use this place. read more

Older lady who works there almost every day stops me when I come in (I've been there many times) and tells me about their water saver washers and only filling them up halfway and speaks to me and my fiancé like we're children who've never used a washer. We don't overload their washers so I'm not really sure why she does it, but she stops us EVERY TIME. She has also opened our washers and has looked through our clothes to make sure we haven't overloaded it (pretty weird to be rifling through other peoples delicates). The other employees are fine, but the older lady is just off, won't be going back ever again. read more

I wish they would be more proactive and welcome people in and inform about their facility. But U'm not shy and did the inquiry. Attendant was what you expect. The staff here is extremely pushy and rude. They helicopter over you while you're attempting to do your laundry and they will even put hands on the machines and select the settings for you and start them while your back is turned. So let's say for instance I want to wash my sheets and comforter for 38 minutes on permanent press with a hot temperature well who cares what I want even after I spend $9 the kid that works there's going to come along behind me and just change the setting and start it on cold for 22 minutes because Cole doesn't use hot water which saves them money and then machine runs for half the time so they spend half the electricity. It's in their best interest to run the machine for 22 minutes on cold than it is for them to run it for 38 minutes on hot. So they are so cheap they will literally walk over and change your setting and start the machine. read more
