Excellent staff, good atmosphere, terrible food. Bland salad and mushroom risotto overcooked and flavorless. Broccolini limp. Shrimp was okay at an extra charge. Staff were professional and attentive, but when asked for feedback offered no response. I'm not sure why anyone says this food is acceptable.

It took a long time to get our food. Luckily the cocktails were good. I ordered chicken parmigiana it was very dry, and burnt. I realized it was burnt after I got home or I would have sent it back. I'm not eating here again. I like the ambience, but the food is terrible.

Please don't advertise on Yelp as dog friendly, if you are not dog friendly. Staff should not have to be surprised when someone like myself, who is visiting here for the first time, doesn't know if by chance you have dog friendly seating behind the restaurant.

We came in on a Friday night, the place was packed and had mellow live music during dinner service. We just stopped in for a bite, and everything was fantastic. We started with the wedge salad and the antipasto plate, and we shared the mushroom risotto which was cooked perfectly. This was our first time dining here, and we'll definitely be back. The atmosphere was lively, the service outstanding, and the food absolutely fabulous. Highly recommend!

To start, I'm not here to be rude or complain. I'm simply here to give feedback to the restaurant in hopes they take it into consideration to provide customers with a better experience. After a couple of hours after eating the chicken dish it made me feel sick. Not a great way to spend my birthday. The menu: for an "Italian" restaurant, the pasta options are lacking. You need more than 4 pasta dishes. All of which are extremely basic. There is nothing eye catching about the menu. I can get half of the items at most restaurants in Humboldt. It would be nice to have bruschetta and gnocchi. Both extremely easy to make. They have 9 pizza options and only 4 pasta options. At a restaurant that's trying to be nice and more upscale, this needs to change. You need more pasta dishes period, they're so simple. The food: The person I was dining with had the "Fresh Linguine Pomodoro" and added shrimp. The sauce was bland, you could only taste plain tomato. Lots of salt and pepper was needed to have any flavor. The shrimp was overcooked and chewy. It was $9 to add 6 pieces of shrimp, if that, and we weren't informed of the charge at the time of ordering. $33 for bland pasta and 6 pieces of shrimp. I had the "Chicken Piccata" which tasted good. However again, made me sick. The side of mashed potatoes were very sweet which I thought was strange. The pieces of chicken were tough on the edges, which made it hard to cut but the middle was cooked very nicely. The sauce was delicious. The side of fresh vegetables was just broccolini so that wasn't as fun as a mix of vegetables but it was still good. The espresso and hot tea were good! The service: Our server was great to start but we were kind of neglected towards the end. Weird since it was almost empty. It took a while to get the check and we had to ask a different server for it. The ambiance: the restaurant atmosphere was nice and they weren't very busy but it was a Monday night. They had live music which was a singer and I didn't think it really went with the feel of the restaurant. Maybe some calmer music would have been better. Again, just some things I hope the restaurant takes into consideration. We don't have many Italian restaurants so I really want to see them improve and thrive.

Chicken Parmesan sooo yummy!

Service was poor at best. The food was disappointing for the price. Disappointing doesn't begin to describe the experience.

Expensive. The chicken cacciatore was mostly tasteless. Music was too loud; we couldn't talk to each other.

September 11, 2025 - Fortuna, CA…read more Walking distance from our RV park, we decided to give this restaurant a try. We came in early on a Thursday and were greeted with attentive, cheerful service. Seated in a comfortable booth, we were quickly brought menus and warm garlic bread. The restaurant itself has a welcoming, relaxed vibe. The drink special was a blueberry martini, and it turned out to be both beautiful and delicious. For dinner, we decided to split the lasagna and added an extra dinner salad, along with a bottle of Robert Mondavi Cabernet to share. Both the salad and lasagna were enjoyable, and the wine paired nicely with the meal. By the time we were finishing up, the restaurant was starting to fill, so we were glad we opted for an early dinner.

Bella Italia, Fortuna, California - September 11, 2025…read more We came in on a Thursday evening right around 4:30 PM. They open at 4 PM and I think we might've been the first ones there. We were seated immediately by a very friendly server and given menus and some nice warm garlic bread. They had a blueberry martini special , which sounded pretty tasty, so my wife and I each got one. It's a very comfortable atmosphere with nice music playing in the background. They have a full bar as well as some limited bar seating. We decided to split the lasagna, which comes with a dinner salad. They have a five dollar split charge, which we are always happy to pay to have our meals come out on two separate plates. We also ordered a separate dinner salad. We also ordered a bottle of the Robert Mondavi black label Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon to go with the meal. Everything, including the martinis, dinner, salads, and lasagna we're very tasty. The Robert Mondavi wine was a good pairing for the lasagna.

Tasty pizza. Fresh salad bar. Great service. What's not to love?…read more I understand there are pizza preferences. Babe's is medium-thick crust, perfectly baked, topped with just the right amount of cheese and speciality toppings, flame broiled to melt and lightly toast the cheese. You won't need a pack of napkins to eat one slice, and the toppings will stay aboard the whole time. Plus it's delicious.

My son was craving pizza and pasta for dinner so I found this place on Yelp. It's located in a…read moreresidential neighborhood away from the main business streets, but kind of near the local zoo. Babe's gives me mom and pop Shakey's vibes. There's a big party room for meetings or parties, and a game room with arcade games off to the side - accessible by stairs only so my son couldn't go in. In addition to pizza and pasta, they have sandwiches, calzones, and a fresh salad bar, not a ton of toppings but enough of everything I like to make me happy. My family and I ordered a large pizza w/ half sizzling bbq chicken & half Babe's Combo, a spaghetti and AYCE salad bar. The pizza was amazing, I loved the bbq chicken and the crust was super yum. Even my husband commented that the pizza was good and he doesn't usually make comments about pizza unless it's really bad. However, the spaghetti was missing some salt/herbs so it was bland for my personal taste. Salad ingredients were fresh, and I went back about 3 times as my family kept wanting more. The best part about Babe's was the people working here. Everyone was nice, but especially the lady who took my order, she was so so nice! Actually honestly, everyone I've come across in Eureka has been so friendly and kind, from the gas station, to the Target...it's been a great experience interacting with the people here. But the lady at Babe's just made my day, and unfortunately I didn't catch her name, but Babe's is so lucky to have her! There needs to be more Eureka kindness in this world.

Instead of Babes pizza this year my father in law led us to PAUL'S LIVE FROM NEW YORK!!! Rolled into Paul's and examined the menu in a giant pizza booth adjacent to the kitchen. As the fish crew was discussing the order a pizza chef revealed himself over the wall and told us we needed to order the 6-meat King Kong!!! Sign us up brother! I couldn't find King Kong on the menu! Awesome it's top secret. So order up...one 18 inch pepperoni pizza, one hitman, one King Kong, and two sausage rolls. That's a Yelpstar elite order folks. Pizza rolled out piping hot and fabulous. The food was 5-star tasty and from sea to shining sea some of the best NYC style pizza I've tasted. Thanks PAUL'S LIVE FROM NEW YORK! I'll be back.
