I absolutely love this place! I first started going there 2 years ago religiously until I relocated to FL. I have yet to find a place in FL that is half as good. I was up this weekend visiting family and had an opportunity to get a mani/pedi so I made an appointment for my Mom and myself. Jenny did not disappoint. She is amazing! I am surprised this place is still in business. I have seen Jenny for many years, as a person she is amazing, but many times after seeing her and the team I have needed to go to a doctor due to infection. In terms of pedicure, pedicurists are technically not allowed to take out ingrown nails I recently found out from a nail tech, they are allowed to clip and file. I got an infection because WITHOUT ASKING the ladies insisted on taking out the nail with a dirty clip. For manicures, Jenny is such a sweetheart but rushes through clients and ends up cutting many of them with the drill (that she controls with her foot), myself included. To prevent infection cuz they reuse MANY things, she pours alcohol on which obviously really hurts. When anyone comes it seems her goal is to get as many people in here as possible. My sister went here a few months ago and lost a piece of her actual finger due to Jenny and her drill. read more

I ask so disappointed in this place I liked it before and tipped and did very well I was going away on vacation and they new that one day and I had it booked to have all my things I wanted well because I was a regular they thought I would just wait so I did a half hour and then left and I'm Glad I did I got the most amazing nails done..So I'm Like I will go try I wanted a pedicure done so they talked me into doing nails also so while doing my pedicure the did my nails to the side I couldn't even relax it was so bad and I paid for the more expensive pedicure and got nothing I got a 2 minute massage with the rocks and then a minute each at the end to rub the lotion in for all that money the place I got to in Salisbury is over a hour of just the pedicure they did all of my stuff in 40 minutes and my nails was awful all warped and messed up and I never leave a review but it was terrible and they asked if I had Venmo I don't and then cash app I did so I paid that way and for some reason it said pending it was because it was slow no WiFi for some reason they had no service and it canceled she called me i went right back and fixed it and paid again lucky i was honest and went back after a terrible job also and so I a little ruff with nails I break one or 2 after a week or so I broke one the next day went back they fixed I paid I just broke 1 more doing nothing there just popping of and they was tip they used white dip and then a gel on top never did that before anyone and every thing I wanted a little longer she wanted to do so short she was like 15 dollars more a hand every time I turned around it was 15 more for this and that no ever had that happen before I paid 180 for a dip with no nails and it was a mess and crooked and a pedicure she rushed and did in 20 Minutes and I paid for the biggest package deal And she forgot to do the pafon at the end so she put it on while I was drying my nails it was just so so bad and I can go on and on just so much in that hour I was there and 2 girls working on me and not being able to relax it was awful not everyone can afford to do this and for that to happen was awful and I never leave these but I had too I will never go back I tried again after last time but this was just crazy for all that money I read more

These are the worse nails ever. She rushed through. Missed half of my nails. I do not recommend. I asked for an almond shaped dip. 60 bucks down the drain. She cut both of my ring fingers because of her rushing.. i think her name was Jenny. They look absolutely horrid. She was so nasty to the girl working for her, yelling at her to do this and that. I just had a pedicure, and I am so pleased with the service I received. Jenny was very professional and friendly. It was very clean, which is important to me. I have severe ingrown toenails, so I have to be careful who removes them. Jenny was very careful, and I had little to no pain when she removed them. Once these were cared for Minh took over the pedicure. I felt so pampered, he took his time and did a wonderful job. I will definitely go back. Called to get it fixed and apparently the only person who can actually do acrylic nails is on vacation this week. Went in today with my mom for a fun girls day, and decided to pamper ourselves as a treat. Never have I had such bad nail service before. Although the nail tech was very nice to talk to, he definitely did not know what he was doing. I showed him a simple picture of a french tip nail, in an almond shape, which I didn't think would be too difficult, I've done it myself many times. Every nail was differently shaped, it's embarrassing. He was so rough with my nails, that I was cringing and wincing. While using the drill, he cut my cuticles multiple times. I asked for a very light pastel pink, but he proceeded to use a neon coral color, with a sparkly top coat, I did not want sparkles. The price was outrageous for how bad the quality is. I sincerely would not advise anyone to come here, I don't know how they stay in business. The place was also dirty as hell, the nail tech even got dirt under the clear coat on both my nails, and my mothers. I am so unimpressed. I don't even want to go to work with how bad these nails came out. If I could give a negative amount of stars, I would. I don't think I have ever left a Yelp review so here goes. This was my first and last time at Venice Nails. I originally asked for a 1:00 appt for today and they said they had 12:30. Ok no problem. I arrived a couple minutes early and Jenny said "You here for a 12:30" and I said "Yes". She basically threw the nail color swatches on the counter & told we to pick my color. Another client arrived at the same time as myself for a 12:30 appt. After waiting for 10 minutes without being helped she said to Jenny something like "should I come back tmo" and Jenny replied "No, the other girl is coming in at 1:00". The client said "well you should have made my appt for 1:00, I have other things to do today as well" and she angrily walked out the door. Jenny said nothing to her. I was like WOW! While sitting there waiting I was looking at the front counter and the tiny waiting area. The front of the reception area was filthy. All the items in the front of the reception cabinet were just thrown in there. It looked disgusting. This was your only view while sitting in the chairs so you couldn't help but look at it. It had nails and old polish and just a bunch of crap just piled in there. The case was filthy. The chairs had stickers all over the arm rests and were peeling off. There was dust and dirt everywhere. I really wanted to leave but I said to myself give them a chance. I sat their patiently and was finally taken at 12:45. I sat in the seat and the girl who was giving a pedicure to someone else started to take the gel of my nails. Then she went back to the pedicure she was doing. I sat there and had even more time to look around. Never have I ever seen a nail salon so dirty and grungy. There was dust and grime everywhere. There where chairs piled up in the back of the salon in full view of clients. The sink where you wash your hands had broken handles so the water turned off & on the wrong way. The sink had a huge crack in it and there were things piled all over the sink. I was disgusted! The girl who did my nails kept going back and forth from me to the client who was getting a pedicure. It was absolutely gross and unsanitary. She didn't even wear gloves. The towel she put down to use for me was already dirty on one side. Then she started taking off my gel. She then put my hand in a dirty bowl with cold water. When she ready to cut my cuticles she reached into a draw that had a bunch of random things in it and took out an unsterilized pair of cuticle cutters and cuticle pusher. I was in total shock! I don't know why I didn't walk out then. She never even used cuticle oil. Thank God I didn't have much cuticle growth. I was sitting there just waiting for this to be over. The ultraviolet gel machine was also filthy. I was never so happy to Not have a warm towel or a hand massage with lotion. I just wanted to get the hell out of there. I immediately went to my car and hand sanitized my hands. Venice Nails is absolutely the worst and most unsanitary nail salon I have ever been to. No clue how the health department lets them stay open. Please don't go to this disgusting place. read more

The worst nail salon I've ever been to in my life. After semi-soaking my dipped nails in acetone for 10 seconds each, the technician used the dremel drill to take off my nails, burning them to high hell. I asked her to stop and wrap them repeatedly and she said they didn't do that there. DO NOT EVER GO HERE. My friend and I went here yesterday, the guy who did my nails was so beyond rude it was terrifying. He would not listen to anything I said and continued to interrupt me and tell me to "be patient". I repeatedly told him I needed my nails very short because I work with puppies, handle medicine, so on. He kept saying if I get short nails it won't look good. He went on to be so aggressive with my hands be made me bleed on most fingers, I even told him he was hurting me and he did not stop. Every time I told him I needed my nails shorter he gave me attitude and would not shorten them. He then raised his voice at me when I asked for a certain shade of pink? After experiencing this "professional" nail salon one time, it was enough for me! Very rude employees. After having a Mani/pedi, the very next day my nails were all chipped. I called and went in for them to fix my nails. After walking in, the owner Jenny argued with me (in front of the one customer they had in there) as to how normal it was that my nails chipped. Jenny and her staff at Venice are awesome. I have been going to Venice since it opened almost five years ago. I have always had a positive and relaxing experience there. Jenny always takes care of all my crazy requests for nail designs and she does it with a smile. I also love that I know there is a guarantee on my nails so if I chip a nail I know to come right back in and they'll fix it for free. They are very clean and super professional! I recently moved to Raymond and decided to try this nail salon. Overall I was very happy with the service. It was clean and the person who did my nails was pleasant enough although he spoke very little English. I was a little hesitant because of all the negative reviews I read but I have no complaints and will go back again. I got a basic pedicure and gel manicure. If you are looking for a spa experience this is not the place. There were 3 other women there getting different services and 3 more came in and waited so they obviously have a loyal clientele. Update: it has been 2 weeks since my mani/pedi and it still looks good. There is a small chip on one of my toes but I just returned from a cruise and spent time in salt water which always affects my nails. read more

I received a gift certificate so I used it for a mani/pedi. It was for $40, I ended up spending $65! They upsell, which they all do, I was aware of that and I wouldn't mind if the nails came out nice which they did not. He started with the pedicure and spent a lot of time doing it. It then left little attention for manicure. Skimped on cuticles, didn't put on cuticle remover and trim therefore the polish went on my skin and subsequently peeled off. I had a regular French and white started to peel immediately. Toenails were cut too short and rounded! Ew. And water was cold! Even after I told him and he ran some warm it was still cold. Ick. Very disappointed because location is convenient. Too pricey for what you actually get. Will not return. read more

This place is a waste of TIME and MONEY! There's only 2 technicians that can do acrylic nails and every time I come here there's atleast a half an hour wait. But they don't tell you that, they tell you to sit and pick a color and then you wait and wait. The woman in charge, Jenny, is very rude and always has an attitude. The worst part is the price. I never write reviews but I had such a bad experience I had too. Reading these reviews I can't believe Jenny is the owner. I have been getting my nails done for 20 years. Never have I put my hands up and said "I am done". She almost cut me while clipping my nails when I winced and tried to pull my hand back she tightened her grip and pinched my skin. She looked at it and said "no blood it's ok". I said it still hurt! She was rough shaping my nails I kept getting scraped with the file. When it came time to put a new set on one of the Tips kept falling off. She attempted to reglue it three times instead of getting a new tip. I told her I was not happy with it as it was curved over from all the glue and I wanted a new one put on. She said she would fix it proceeded to apply the acrylic. That is when I threw my hands up andsaid I am done. She over applied the acrylic to make the nail look straight. She did not care that I was upset with her service. She again said it happens sometimes and there was blood so it was not bad. read more

I've been to Venice nails twice and will never return. The first time I went, the man who worked there did a great job and I was very pleased until my nails yellowed just 2 days later and this has never happened to me at other nail salons regardless of the season (and no I do not go tanning which would cause the yellowing). I decided to try them again and see if this problem could be fixed. When I went in for my next fill a young girl who didn't even know how to put the head onto the nail tool decided to take my polish off with the electric file. I asked why she just didn't use acetone since I just had polish and not gel on my nails and she said this was faster. She slipped up FIVE times and even the girl next to me looked at me wide-eyed with concern. The last straw was when she really slipped up and cut my finger deeply. I got up and walked out. I will NEVER return. I don't consider myself to be overly picky but I expect my nail technicians to be trained and skillful. read more
