I have had extensions in the past and none of them stayed in for the entire 8 weeks. I could have possibly gone another few weeks. That's how well they were placed! Also, because I have had the extensions in for so long, it was amazing that she took them out and then washed my own hair and massaged my scalp. Melanie is truly brilliant. She understood exactly what I wanted. Pricing was the best I have encountered for this service, especially given the fact that she spent so much time with me and ensuring the appointment was booked with an adequate amount of time. The rest of the staff is also very professional, welcoming and accommodating. If you are looking for quality and professionalism, definitely book with Advanced Hair!

She is well versed in what the latest hair trends are and the techniques behind them. I have light brown hair and been blonde a few times in life but always struggled to get it right since my hair often went brassy or orangey. Crystal has transitioned me back to blonde and I love it. She's also given me ombre (done perfectly) and cut my hair for years. I often get asked where I get my hair done and this is where! She's very talented and I've referred my mother, friends and sisters to her who are confident in her skills as well!

I called ahead and stated I needed someone who knew layers and who would take of a little as…read morepossible as I am growing it out. I said I was really worried as my last haircut they took off three inches when I asked for a trim. They said they had the perfect person for me. I went in for a bang trim and told her I hadn't gone to a stylist for three months and actually took a xanax because I was so worried about too much being taken off. I joked that I know it's crazy to be so scared and she said "right, it's hair. it will grow back." I should have jumped out of the chair then. I made a big deal of taking as little as possible off. She cut the bangs to above my eyebrows. I ALWAYS have my bangs below them and closer to my eyes. Not only that, but I have a shag cut, and she cut some of the side pieces , that are NOT part of the bangs, they blend with the shag. I didn't' notice how bad it was until I got home and looked in the mirror. I even washed it again thinking I just needed to style it better. Nope. I went to an emergency hair appointment this morning to see if it could be blended. I showed her a photo taken three days ago to compare to after the bang cut, and she agreed that those side pieces should never have been touched, and it will be another five or so months to get that length back and there was nothing I could do. She also pointed out that the right side was shorter than the left. I was sooo honest about just wanting the tiniest trim to clean up the bangs. It was horrible. I was very , very honest and adamant about taking off a little as possible. She should have used clips to hold back the side pieces that are part of the shag. And she should have taken just a tiny bit off and asked if that was good. It's easier to take too little off and take off more than to do a big chop. Now have to start ALL over again. PS...I NEVER leave bad reviews. If you check my profile I LOVE giving good reviews and supporting business in the area. I feel bad about leaving this one. But I don't want this to happen to anyone else. Yes like the stylist said "it's just hair". But for many of that it's a HUGE part of our identity and confidence.

While you're there, they have a huge selection of hair products and OPI polish, all very reasonably priced. Ask about their seasonal sales. The environment is clean but spartan.
