Atmosphere is pretty good and the food is great, but I'll probably pick a competitor next time just due to staff. The hostess just stared at us when we walked in the door, and the manager behind her had to address us. Our waitress wasn't bad; she just wasn't very welcoming or helpful. I probably wouldn't have tipped her as much as I did if not for the policy of adding gratuity for parties of 8 or more. I definitely understand the difficulty of finding good wait staff for restaurants right now, but if I'm going to pay that much for a meal, I'd like the service to match the price. Service was decent, I found our waitress to be a bit on the rude side, but not the worst. The food here is by far the best in the area for Italian and they have HUGE portions. They start you off with garlic knots and salad so by the time you get to the actual pasta entree you're stuffed but their food warms well the next day for some great leftovers. Prices are not bad for the portion either. I love the rosatella sauce here because its the perfect blend of a creamy alfredo and a slightly tart marinara. I suggest you get the eggplant parm with this particular sauce. Its amazing. Also the bacon fettuccine alfredo is delicious if your looking for a salty creamy combo. read more

Drove over from Columbus for Valentine's. Had a 5 local 6 eastern reservation. Arrived 15 minutes early. They had the seating operation running like a well oiled machine. We were seated at 5:10 and because our waiter Justin was so efficient, we left an hour later. He was very knowledgeable about the menu, kept my tea glass full, and delivered the food hot and fresh. He's getting married in October, some young lady is getting a fine young man. My wife ordered the sea food pasta and I ordered a veal dish. Wife's was amazing, mine not so much because I'm not a big wine sauce fan, so it was my fault, should have stayed with what I know. When we arrived we were greeted immediately and taken to our table. The room felt like a warm cozy library with books on the wall and a fireplace at the end of the room. Our server was very attentive and brought our garlic knots and salad very quickly. The food was very good and perfectly proportioned. If I get back to Auburn I would eat here again. read more

Father's Day was our second time here, we were a table of 8. My wife and I had our son and his wife along with 4 grandsons. Each tried a different dish ranging from Ravioli to meatballs and fettuccine Alfredo with bacon. One grandson has to eat gluten free and they have a great assortment of gluten free dishes. I go to this place almost once a week. I've been getting take out lately due to pandemic. It has always been wonderful... but today. I notice my salad was smaller. We have been their patrons since they first opened many years ago in their old location. Their food is consistently good. We have never had an unsatisfactory meal there. We were drove by here at 11:30 AM on a Sunday and saw it was open so we figured "Hey! breakfast/brunch/lunch sounds good!" Wow were we disappointed. Even though they were open (did I mention this was 11:30 AM ?) they only had a dinner menu. Cappuccino, espresso, machiato, or any other coffee beverage? no such luck (an italian place without decent espresso?!?!?) We had a couple of the personal pizzas (closest thing to lunch) and they were tiny but OK, not great - but seriously overpriced at $9 / each. No bread, rolls, or even crackers. We have been coming here for years, even when it's name was different. The ambiance is great and they have many private rooms for groups or accommodating small tables for privacy. They are serving a lunch menu ONLY on Sunday which is a lunch portion for less than $10. It is about right sized since we always have a doggy bag for the main menu. Food is authentic and always good. Lots of people love this place, and it's alright. The amount of meat they give you in some of the dishes is sickening. It's like 5 pieces of Italian sausage covered in sauce and cheese with a tiny saucer of spaghetti noodles. It's nauseating. The salad is one of the best restaurant salads I've had, and so are the garlic rolls. Be careful what you order because the portions are big and you don't want to be stuck with a plate full of sausage and cheese. The staff is always friendly though and the bathrooms are always clean so I give them that. read more

My husband and I ate here last night and weren't impressed. The restaurant wasn't overtly busy and several tables were available but somehow we still got sat right next to the largest/loudest table of people in the place. The waitress waiting on us was a lady in her late 30's/early 40's and she was prompt, courteous, and accommodating to begin with. The appetizer sampler, salad, and rolls all came out rather quickly and I was surprised by this. There were 3 or 4 items on the appetizer sampler but from the taste you can't discern one item from the other. They were all bland and flavorless. The entree's followed in reasonable time but when placed on the table both looked exactly the same. My husband ordered manicotti with meat sauce and there was maybe enough sauce to tinge the abundance of cheese pink. While he loves cheese the dish had absolutely no flavor other than mozzarella and ricotta. He ate about 40% of his meal because the cheese was just too overwhelming. I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan which was similar in sauce to cheese ratio and I couldn't eat it. My husband got up to use the restroom and said it was difficult to find because of the hallway it's located on being filled with 20-something yr old waitresses talking, and that not one person offered to help or ask what he was looking for. Our waitress returned and asked if we needed boxes for our food and when we told her no thank you her mood shifted to cold and unfriendly, I'm guessing maybe she assumed we didn't like the food and wouldn't be tipping her? This was our third trip back! I've eaten there solo, with three. Last night was with 8! We've consistently received the best service and the food!! The endless salad with the beetroot slices is amazing! "It can't be beet"! Chicken parmigiana is my favorite, and it rivals any I've had. The waiter (Justin) was prompt with serving us, refilled our glasses when they were half empty, very friendly, and had a great attitude towards us. I would recommend this place to everyone. The meals, while a little pricey for an every day meal, are hearty and fill you up. Even had some to take home. The rolls are to die for and would highly recommend the fried ravioli as an antipasto. My absolute favorite place! My mom always treats me to Venditori's for my birthday, and has for years. The Crawfish Julianne dish is my go-to. It's crawfish and mushrooms sauteed in a cream sauce over pasta, and it is amazing! The salad and those oh-so-delicious garlic rolls dripping in butter, are the perfect compliment to any of the Venditori's dishes. The atmosphere is soothing and dark, and they have a great wine selection. I've been a Venditori's fan ever since college....back when they were known as Provino's, and I've never had a bad experience in 20+ years. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. OMG!!! How bad could this be. First off the restaurant looks like a haunted house inside. I guess it's fine with the over 90 crowd. I ordered a simple appetizer and an average dinner. Fried Calamari and Chicken Marsala. The meal came with a salad and garlic knots. The salad was drowned in oil and vinegar and had chickpeas and red beets which isn't your normal Italian salad and the garlic knots were cold and also drowned in oil. The Fried Calamari you could tell is frozen and out of a bag. They we're greasy cold and rubbery. The main dish was the worse. It tasted like chicken in roast beef gravy with can mushrooms dumped in. The dish was presented to me and already had a skin on the gravy so it must have been sitting for a while. I tasted the dish and spit it out. Not one ounce of Marsala wine. Must have taken a can of brown gravy and a can of mushrooms and microwave it. I sent everything back and the manager never came out or took anything off the bill. read more

Wife got fried zucchini that came with a marinara sauce, she asked for a ranch style sauce instead. They did not have any. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs tasted like there was no meat and the sauce was way to sweet. Their cannoli's we excellent. I will have to say that my dog really enjoyed the left over spaghetti and meatballs.
