Super cute coffee shop! I ordered a matcha drink; I'm a huge fan of matcha lattes, but this was much different and tasted similar to a pressed juice/refresher. It had passionfruit and coconut water. I'm a fan of all of those things, but I just wasn't a fan of the tartness/zing it had. I ended up ordering their signature Lasso Latte instead, which was fantastic. I did have to pay for both drinks, though they kindly gave me a 15% discount on the latte because of the cost of the matcha. It's worth keeping that in mind if you end up not liking something! Everyone there was friendly, and despite how busy they were, the service was great. I'm definitely planning to return soon to explore their food menu.

Made it to Velvet Lasso for their soft launch this weekend! This coffee shop is so vibey with a great mix of treats for breakfast and lunch! I got their Cafe de Ollo latte which features great cinnamon and star anise favors. Highly recommend getting here early before they get extra busy! The decor and aesthetic in the main room of the cafe is so gorgeous. I really love how they leaned into the funky cowboy vibes.

This is such a cute spot! I was a little nervous that they were closed when I arrived, but I realized I was at the second set of doors, still under construction. Velvet Lasso only opened last week, so this is to be expected. The under-construction section is partitioned and not bothersome at all. The service counter layout did confuse me for a minute, as I was waiting to order at the front of the counter when the register/order area is on the right, sided against the back wall. I had seen Velvet Lasso on Instagram before visiting, so I knew I wanted to try their house Lasso Latte (mocha with raspberry and almond?!). When I asked if it contained dairy, the barista responded, "A small amount." I understand that they were giving me context about the amount, but my allergy doesn't care if there's only a little (which, also, is arbitrary). (Also, allergen labels may not be the most aesthetic but they are extremely helpful and it takes a large burden off of employees communicating them.) They offered to do the latte without the mocha, so I went with that. Unfortunately, it wasn't very good. It almost tasted...stale? I don't think any of the other drinks could be non-dairy but I did not ask. I was not able to order any of the pastries. Overall, I was a bit underwhelmed but maybe it's just not the right spot for me!

Such a cute new place in Denver! Love the vibe and the service was great. I got a vanilla latte and chai and they were both delicious, will be coming back :)

I am so happy to try a new coffee shop! This place knocks it out of the park. The decor is amazing, the coffee was delish (not too sweet with tasty flavor), and the customer service was great. I really enjoyed the 'velvet angel' coffee. I absolutely love that they had match boxes that I could add to my collection. :) I can't wait to come back soon and try more of the menu including the baked goods. It's a pretty small spot with minimal seating however the barista let me know they would be opening the space up more in a month or two!

Super cute but small place. In rush hour you won't find any sitting area. Parking can be tricky too. Delicious pastries! Service was nice. Would return if in the area.

Got to check this place out and it was so good! The banana matcha was really good and I don't even like banana flavored things. The pastries were very good too. The gruyère ham would be better warmed up but they said in the near future they'll be able to do that. The service was good too, very friendly. It's a cute place, a bit small but it looks like they are in the middle of expansion.

This place is so cute! We tried the Lasso Latte and Velvet Angel. The lasso is definitely almond and raspberry forward while the VA was a more subtle flavor. We went on a Saturday early afternoon so it pretty crowded so we couldn't get a seat, but we still enjoyed the cute decor! The staff was very nice as well. Would go back for a coffee to go!

Very friendly staff/baristas and the whole place is my dream collection of western paraphernalia and so whimsical! This poptart was so delicious and would absolutely get again!

Decent spot but would like to see them make more of an effort on some authentic dishes. Their coffee is ok too

This place is so aesthetically beautiful!! Love the concept --- came here early for their grand opening Valentine's Day 2026 ! So cute on the inside and absolutely gorgeous inside. I got the tiramisu cold brew with cola syrup and their breakfast Sammie. Katie -- the cashier was so sweet and inviting. I can't wait to come back and try some pastries. Honestly never been so excited about a coffee shop! They have merch as well :)

Price: I paid $14 plus tax for the Sweetheart Suite It's a great deal because you get your choice of one of their signature drinks and a choice of a few different pastries. They have several milk options too, like regular, coconut, and oat. Food & Drinks: I ordered the Velvet Angel latte with coconut milk and toasted hazelnut syrup. This coffee shop is definitely more of a latte lovers spot. If you're looking for a Starbucks latte that's basically milk and sugar with a splash of coffee, this isn't it. This drink was a good middle ground. It had a hint of sweetness that was just right, but you could still actually taste the coffee. For my pastry, I chose the blueberry jam pop tart and it was really good. The presentation was also mouthwatering. They decorated the latte with a heart. It was so pretty and cute. Service: The service was great! The staff was patient, helpful, and kind. My drink was ready in about 4-5 minutes, which I thought was really quick. Parking: There is free street parking available. I went early and had no issues finding a spot right outside the store. Atmosphere: The shop is small and cute, with just a couple of tables for small groups. Because of the size, it's definitely more of a come and go spot. It was full of people when I went, so you can't always count on a seat being open. Even though it's tiny, the setup is nice and it felt very peaceful and calming to be there. Overall Experience: It's a nice neighborhood gem with great presentation. Honestly, I wasn't totally sold or in love with the specific drink I got this time, but since everyone has their own taste, I would definitely recommend checking it out. I'll have to come back to try another one of their signature lattes before I'm fully sold!

Came back for Cinnie Roll Sunday - legit the best cinnamon roll I've ever had. And it's topped with edible glitter?! This place is girly pop af in the best way possible :)

When we arrived, most of the covered seating and heater areas were already taken, so we ended up sitting in one of the uncovered sections. As it turned out, that was a blessing because the views were amazing. From where we were seated, we had beautiful views of downtown Denver and the surrounding cityscape. Between the skyline, lights, and rooftop atmosphere, it created a memorable evening. What impressed me most was the ambiance. The lounge had a lively but relaxed energy, and people were friendly and approachable. It felt like the kind of place where you could enjoy a date, meet new people, network, or simply unwind with friends over drinks and conversation. My date ordered food, but I honestly don't remember everything he had. I wasn't particularly impressed with the food, but since this is a rooftop lounge, the atmosphere was really the star of the show for me. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and would return for the views, the social atmosphere, the drinks, and the opportunity to meet interesting people. Perfect for: Date nights, networking, socializing, drinks with friends, and enjoying Denver's skyline.

Other times I'm just in the mood for a cocktail that reminds me why I don't waste my time at places that think whiskey and cola is "craft." This visit was all about the cocktails, and Seven Grand absolutely delivered. Josh, our bartender, was running the room like a conductor leading an orchestra of happy whiskey drinkers. He asked what we liked, made a couple of recommendations for Old Fashioneds based on our preferences, and absolutely nailed it. Every drink was balanced, flavorful, and dangerously easy to sip. The guy knows his whiskey, knows his cocktails, and somehow still manages to make everyone at the bar feel like they're his only customer. The whiskey selection is enough to make a bourbon nerd lose all sense of financial responsibility, but surprisingly, we escaped without needing to refinance the house. If Josh doesn't own Seven Grand, someone should probably look into fixing that. Until then, I'll keep showing up to "try just one drink"... knowing full well that's a lie I tell myself every single time. Highly recommend. Just don't blame me when two hours mysteriously disappear.

But no one was overly rowdy or raucous. People were friendly and conversational but stayed in their lanes also. Even though all these years have passed. And the pandemic has ravaged many businesses. The quality and service here still makes this place one of the best whiskey bars around!!!
