I'm at the neon cowboy. On alameda and Logan in South Denver. I didn't expect to come here. I was forced by the universe. I woke up at 11 which was a major shock but just on point with sugarlands "it happens" which is my walk in walk out song recently. except i woke up late about 3 hours and I dont work fridays. I also wore matching shoes so thats a win. Anyway I was just going to go across the street from home to get a biscuit which is a 5-7 min ordeal. Lately I've just been focusing on sitting in a blanket and cutting up magazines so I haven't been outside in days. When I went to open the door of my building to the sidewalk, there was a man walking a huge black dog with a muzzle on it. I act weird around dogs due to a traumatic childhood event so when that doggy turned around and wanted to interact with me, I wasn't about to find out if we were gonna be friends. I backed tf up and walked the other way. I thought I'd just go around the block, but halfway around the block I realized this would be potentially the way the man and the dog were going, and sure enough i think about turning the corner but no, direction denied because there they are coming right toward me. So I kept going straight, and it was really hot, and then I almost got hit by a car at a 4 way stop which honestly felt sorta like a prank but I just focused on jumping out of the intersection and then I went that way. I ended up walking along alameda (not the best choice) and then crossing it at Logan (fine) and then I saw some signs: LOCAL COFFEE ESPRESSO DRINKS WINE BEER COCKTAILS EVENTS LIVE MUSIC SMALL BITES HAPPY HOUR ROTATING ART NEON COWBOY. I was like god this sounds like everything I need right now. I wasn't totally sure if the door was the entrance which says nothing about this neon cowboy I just don't usually know what's going on. I was feeling like a skittish rat and I pressed the door and it opened and then I was inside. The barista said something like "what's going on today" and I said "good." And then I said wait that's not what you said. He said it's okay I know what you meant. How are you? I said I'm hot and sweaty it's hot outside. He was like yeah it is. And then he asked what I wanted and I said I know I want an iced americano. I read their little menu at supersonic speed and went with the breakfast sando with sausage. Plus a blueberry muffin. And then the ultimate question: for here or to go? I said for here. My body did it for me because it was so f%#*n hot outside and I was like I need to sit down. It's my first time dining solo although this place is a coffee shop with WFH energy so im not sure if it counts. I didn't have my laptop though just my self. I signed up for rewards. I felt like it was my first day on earth this entire walk here and choosing a table felt no different. At least they were playing that song "there she goes, there she goes again" so I was like yeah everything's fine. I sat down for 5 seconds and then FRANKIE it was time to get my iced americano. One sip and I knew it was 5 stars. And then the man brought my breakfast sando. It was huge like hilarious XX large. I thought god here we go this is really an all in endeavor isn't it, it looked really good though. And it was. 5 stars. Haven't had the muffin yet because I've been sitting here writing this plus I just ate the monster sando. Fast forward I sat here until me and what was left of my sandwich got cold. Drove past, turned around and tried out their iced vanilla latte. Great country vibes with quick and friendly service. They turn to a cocktail bar after hours. Theres Seating outside and Inside there's a lot of space to work remote or catch up with friends. There is a small dedicated parking lot that's accessible via the alley behind, other wise street parking can be limited. Definitely check out if you're in the area. read more

I stopped by Neon Cowboy on a random afternoon and I am glad I did. Although I did not get a picture of the layout, i liked how the space was set up. I got a matcha latte that was pretty good. I also saw on their menu that they had options to order alcohol which you do not see in a lot of café menus which I think is unique. Looking forward to checking them out again. read more

First time trying their breakfast burrito. I chose chorizo over bacon. It was well filled with equal parts chorizo, potatoes and refried beans wrapped tightly in a flour tortilla. The cup of spicy green salsa topped with caraway seeds was included. A wonderful salsa. I got an extra shop of espresso with my Hazelnut Latte. It made it smoother with a kick from the caffeine. I sat at the bar. The barista was able to keep up with the flow of customers. The kitchen person brought out my burrito. This coffee bar has been open for just over 10 months and is still busy. Most street parking is on Logan. There is a nearby parking lot. The inside is clean with light music. Quite a few customers use their WiFi (NeonCowboyBOH, password 300Slogan). My mobile security app says Wifi is safe. They have beer, wine and cocktails. read more

I have to say this place hit all of my requirements for a quality coffee shop. The barista was incredibly friendly and helped me figure out the perfect breakfast. The coffee was very good and they make all their own syrups. The breakfast was delicious, flavorful, and hot. It felt great in there, they have the temperature set just right. The music was really good. I genuinely cannot wait to come back to this coffee shop soon! read more

My family and I visited while we were in town. We brought our friend over for a quick coffee stop before she went to work. We ordered coffee and some pastries. It was a great time with lively decor and opportunity to play games, we played Connect 4 with our child while finishing our lattes, breakfast sandwiches and pastries. The barista was super kind, he even accommodated my friends metal allergy by getting her water from the back, we'll definitely stop by again when we visit. read more

I've been wanting to check this place out since I saw the signage. The molecule effect was cool and I had several working meetings here over the years, so I'm glad to see another coffee/drinks/small bites place taking its place. We were greeted immediately as we stepped in. We both ordered the sando, although I feel like sando was a misnomer? I was definitely expecting something a little different. It was tasty, we especially liked the green herb sauce on it. Would like to come back here to try the coffee! The vibes were nice. It was decently busy for a Thursday morning. read more

No longer coming soon- Neon Cowboy has arrived! Located on the corner of Logan and Alameda, Neon Cowboy commits to its theme. Perfectly decorated, you can sit at a table or at the bar. Highly recommend those bar chairs! Very comfy and extremely unique. Coffee or cocktail- it's your choice. The Ginger Margarita made for a perfect afternoon cocktail. Service was great and the employees were so friendly and fun. They made the whole experience great. The parking situation, though. Very limited parking in the 8 space parking lot, and if you've been on this side of town, street parking is a nightmare. Definitely worth a visit despite the parking. I was happy to see neon cowboy come quickly into the space. The interior is super cute and has a decent amount of indoor seating. I only got a drink which came in a cute cup. It's your typical coffee. Hard to gauge quality from a chai latte so next time I'll try an espresso and try the foods. Plenty of seating to work and free wifi. read more

A fun hidden gem in Speer! I went for coffee, but want to come back for happy hour drinks! The atmosphere is sooo cowboy which is fun! I easily worked here and found a new favorite spot! The chai latte was delicious. Can't wait to go back here again! read more

Omg I cannot say enough amazing things about Chef Mike, staff and Neon Cowboy! We hired Chef Mike to cater our backyard wedding! The food was amazing! He worked with us to develop a personalized menu. I am a vegetarian, my husband eats meat, and our families have some picky eaters... but everyone enjoyed the food! Chef Mike took all of our needs into consideration as he was developing the menu! His communication the week leading up to our wedding and day of were spot on! He helped to make the day stress free!! After our dinner, we hosted a private reception/After Party at Neon Cowboy! It was such a great space for that type of event! Staff (Sara, Hannah and Wyatt) were GREAT! Our guests had such a good time! We also had finger foods - empanadas, hamburger sliders, and chips! So yummy! I would definitely recommend working with Chef Mike for a catered event, renting Neon Cowboy for a private event or stopping by Neon Cowboy during the day for a coffee and breakfast sandwich! Recently went to a backyard wedding that had Neon Cowboy catering! The food was AMAZING!! I appreciated the several vegetarian options. As MOH, I coordinated with chef Michael. Neon Cowboy is a coffee/cocktail shop that recently opened in the Wash Park West area on the corner of Logan and Alameda. This busy area can be difficult to find parking, but Neon Cowboy is worth it. Coffee and Creative cocktails are served alongside pastries and light bites with a Southwestern flair. The staff is friendly and laid back, sitting next to customers and enjoying the fare of the business when it is their break, so you know it is good. The decor is a mix of cowboy nostalgia yet chic, and the barstools are THE most comfortable I have ever had the pleasure to sit on. Their version of a Ranch Water went down dangerously easy--Suerta Blanco tequila, fresh lime, and High Noon Lime seltzer. read more

I did not get to go to the coffee shop that was here before it was Neon Cowboy, but I'm so glad I did experience Neon Cowboy! This is an excellent corner location, right across the street from my other favorite and frequented store - Legacy Pie Co.! I am so happy that I actually got a cocktail hour at one of the many coffee shops that offer them! I met up with a friend and we got cocktails off of a special menu. I don't see our drinks listed on their website. Mine had tequila and hers had gin! There were people sprinkled about at the tables inside. I loved looking at all the different styled out areas. Such a vibe! I can definitely see this being a neighborhood hit for awhile! I will definitely be back for an afternoon cocktail! I would like to try some of their food next time too! I sat at a small counter on the window facing the street/corner. Lots of lovely natural light filled the place. I guess I got the random menu that had old pricing on it for my cocktail and the manager corrected it right away and put out the updated menu. As a person that has worked in restaurants - I totally get it. It was kind of funny. The ONE old menu somehow found its way to the top of the counter. Of course! Anyway, I had a great time with my friend in this very cool place and will definitely be back! read more

New coffee shop / bar / breakfast & lunch hot spot in W. Wash Park. Great ambiance and fabulous coffee. Owner (Mike) is a chef with a tremendous and varied history that makes this location feel like Central Texas rustic with solid service. You always hate to see a neighborhood standby go. However, Neon Cowboy has quickly made a name for itself in the old Molecule Effect, and while the latter will be missed, the former, in my opinion, is an even better addition to the neighborhood, and I can see it quickly becoming a neighborhood social hub. First, the space has been beautifully renovated - the white walls reflect the sunlight from the large windows and it creates a bright space for work or socialization. The boho-meets-cowboy theme is tastefully executed. The pastry case is always well stocked with fresh pastries - a must for any cafe to legitimately call itself one. The coffee is solid. Importantly, with a liquor license, cocktails are also on offer, and I will say that their holiday cocktails were original, unique, and well priced. Very excited to see what else this business does in the near future. They can count me as a regular going forward. read more
