There's a bathroom that's a little narrow, but it was clean. When I first walked in, I was starving and a bit tired, so I ordered their peppermint latte. It was absolutely delicious--creamy, smooth, and perfectly warm. I've seen other reviews mentioning that their drinks were served cold, but mine was just right. I loved it so much I ended up ordering a second one. For food, I started with their coconut yogurt granola parfait. I didn't expect it to be anything special, but it turned out to be the best coconut yogurt parfait I've ever had. It was sweet--but not too sweet--and perfectly balanced. Next, I ordered the gluten-free waffles topped with a fruit compote, along with a side of their Bed Head hash and vegan bacon. Everything was incredibly flavorful. I couldn't believe how delicious it all tasted. My friend got the chicken and waffles and enjoyed his meal just as much. I loved it so much that I came back one more time after that--and, of course, I had to get the waffles again. The food here is outstanding, and I recommend it to everyone, whether you're vegan or not. Just keep in mind that the space is small, they don't take reservations, and street parking is limited--you may want to arrive a few minutes early to find a spot. Overall, it's an amazing place. Definitely give it a try.

It was 10 by the time we decided to call it and ask about if the food was coming or not. However, we had a pretty simple order, French toast and a biscuit. We saw two tables have their order sent back for different reasons, one got their order wrong and the second admitted their menu was written incorrectly. We waited 45 minutes for our food and in that time saw two tables that came after get their food before us. We were told the kitchen was backed up and they had no idea when it would come out. They had one chef doing all of the cooking and that really slowed them down. We understand waiting, but the lack of service or communication did it. Plus we were charged for the coffee at double the price. Their menu said chai latte was $3 or 3.50 and it was nearly $7. Such a lie and clearly quite a bit needs to be worked out here. They can communicate the wait so people know what to expect. Cannot recommend anyone come here even though the food looked good. Horrible staff and do not tell you about the wait.

Also, we were fooled by the Molson's sign. This place did not sell beer. In fact, it had an extremely limited selection of beverages. I ended up ordering a large Montreal poutine. Others in our party ordered the small size. Incredibly, the large is SMALLER than the small. The small container is both wider and longer. And if they pile the food up higher in the large container, it is negligibly higher compared to the heaping small size. Maybe this all could have been salvageable if the food was good. It was not. It was so bad that our poutine had very few cheese curds, which I understood is an essential element of the dish. Just awful. Finally, the upstairs area is decent but they can't even get regular TV on. For reasons I could not comprehend, we could only watch a game in Spanish. Not even in French. Spanish.

I don't usually eat ice cream but it was 100° outside so I got a cup of soft serve with Oreos to go. Best vegan soft serve I've ever had. The only reason this isn't a straight up five star is that the beverage cooler is insanely loud. Also, I would've loved to have seen more greens on the menu. A little salad or some steamed greens would've been a nice balance to the relatively heavy sandwich. But I can't argue with the taste, it was all delicious. Total comfort food. Recommended.

He made sure we had everything we needed without missing a beat, even with the restaurant being busy. I sat at the bar and loved watching the super talented chefs cook the meals. It was impressive because they cooked so many varying options - everything from oreo crusted french toast to veggie chili and pancakes! They had a system and took such care with everything they made. You could tell the place is run like a machine where everyone knows their job and gets orders out accurately with very little communication required in between. It was fascinating to watch! I had the tacos and they were a little bland for my liking - a sauce like a chipotle aoli would have taken the dish from standard to stand-out. The chili was so good, I would absolutely order it again, especially on a cold day. The breakfast potatoes were seasoned perfectly. Overall I would come back, maybe when it is less crowded and I would opt for something more adventurous than tacos! The menu had something for everyone so it's a real crowd pleaser. Great people, great food, and great place overall.

Thank goodness because we were starving, having not eaten in preparation for a day of VegFest binging. We split an apple turnover and a small spinach pie from the Snail while we waited for our two tempeh sandwiches. The sandwiches came out quickly and we split the Thai tempeh (very spicy but very tasty) and the kale and mustard tempeh (very tasty as well). Both were served on very good millet bread. I would have prefered a little more variety, maybe one on a baguette or something, but overall I was incredibly satisfied. Not too full for more food though! I also noshed on a a bite of a pretzel-shaped sweet and salty doughnut from Vegan Treats, who had an absolutely wonderful spread of desserts. The doughnut was just ok, I took home two lemon bars that were out of this world good. Finally, I split a vegan cheesesteak empenada with my husband; it was pretty bland. However, it was great to have so many options to try all in one place. I also purchased two items of clothing: one festival T-shirt in a gorgeous periwinkle color. The T had a cool saying on the front and a pretty logo on the back, but it's just a boring straight T, I would've prefered a fancy organic washed out cotton. I may have to alter it when I get home, turn it into a boat neck or something like the refashionista (look her up!) Also purchased an absolutely gorgeous open neck turquoise, soft as butter sweatshirt that had a elephant herbivore logo. I'm in love with this item from Grape Cat. Luckily they accepted Visa because I was running out of cash fast at this fest!
