Amazing cafe. Fresh local ingredients. Absolutely delicious and highly recommended! Also, cloth napkins and real silverware

    Delicious fresh made desert!

I've been here so many times to buy groceries and have lunch. I am always satisfied! The cafe provides fresh, delicious, CLEAN eating!!! You just can't get better than that. I am a soup eating regular here and I have never had one that I don't like. Though I love the daily fresh new soups, I have tried many other things they make and I ALWAYS love it! The fact that it is ALSO my favorite place to buy groceries just makes it even better! The staff is very friendly and helpful, you can tell they all actually shop and eat there. One could presume they each have first or second hand experience with the majority of the products.

    Trio. Delicious!

Nestled inside the store, you'll find this adorable cafe. Enough seating for about 16-20 people (counting the outdoor tables). The food, amazing! I had the autumn trio -- hummus, avocado, and something else that i don't remember now...They replaced the cheese with avocado to make the meal vegan for me. Delicious! My favorite part of the cafe was the water. Sounds weird, but I drink a lot of water, especially when I am eating, so being able to just go up to the water cooler to refill my glass was awesome. If I lived in the area I would definitely be eating here again!

Spring salad, orzo salad and tuna in thee background. Ladies lunch. :)

So great. Working nearby and make a point to eat here as frequently as possible. Salads, soups, and sandos are all top notch.

I love their Toast three ways, or Indian Breakfast bowl with tofu (or egg), or their Black bean rice cakes and even their Kraut Grilled Cheese!..

I met up with a friend of mine who's also vegan…read more The restaurant itself is small, with about four or five booths and a couple of two- to four-person tables. There's a bathroom that's a little narrow, but it was clean. When I first walked in, I was starving and a bit tired, so I ordered their peppermint latte. It was absolutely delicious--creamy, smooth, and perfectly warm. I've seen other reviews mentioning that their drinks were served cold, but mine was just right. I loved it so much I ended up ordering a second one. For food, I started with their coconut yogurt granola parfait. I didn't expect it to be anything special, but it turned out to be the best coconut yogurt parfait I've ever had. It was sweet--but not too sweet--and perfectly balanced. Next, I ordered the gluten-free waffles topped with a fruit compote, along with a side of their Bed Head hash and vegan bacon. Everything was incredibly flavorful. I couldn't believe how delicious it all tasted. My friend got the chicken and waffles and enjoyed his meal just as much. I loved it so much that I came back one more time after that--and, of course, I had to get the waffles again. The food here is outstanding, and I recommend it to everyone, whether you're vegan or not. Just keep in mind that the space is small, they don't take reservations, and street parking is limited--you may want to arrive a few minutes early to find a spot. Overall, it's an amazing place. Definitely give it a try.

It was 10 by the time we decided to call it and ask about if the food was coming or not. However, we had a pretty simple order, French toast and a biscuit. We saw two tables have their order sent back for different reasons, one got their order wrong and the second admitted their menu was written incorrectly. We waited 45 minutes for our food and in that time saw two tables that came after get their food before us. We were told the kitchen was backed up and they had no idea when it would come out. They had one chef doing all of the cooking and that really slowed them down. We understand waiting, but the lack of service or communication did it. Plus we were charged for the coffee at double the price. Their menu said chai latte was $3 or 3.50 and it was nearly $7. Such a lie and clearly quite a bit needs to be worked out here. They can communicate the wait so people know what to expect. Cannot recommend anyone come here even though the food looked good. Horrible staff and do not tell you about the wait.

I order a few items and was disappointed by all of them unfortunately. * Raw-violi (pickled and brined beet slices, cashew macadamia nut cheese, pesto, and saffron cream, 1 star off): the beet slices were too salty; the cashew macadamia nut cheese did not taste like cheese, but more like ground up nuts; I did like their saffron cream sauce...not sure how it went with the beets and nuts, but it tasted good on its own * Mackin cheese (elbow pasta with sweet potato truffle cream cheese, 1 star off): I could taste the sweet potato, but there was no truffle flavor * Mash-n-gravy (crusted tempeh, truffle mashed potatoes, kale, carrots, and gravy, 1 star off): I have had good tempeh before, but the tempeh here was a salty, compacted soybean; again, there was no truffle flavor in the mashed potatoes; the entire dish was a goopy mess * Bananarama (banana cake, blueberry compote, and mango-vanilla sauce, 1 star off): the cake was dry and tasted like a day or two old; I did like the mango-vanilla sauce though It is sad that the condiments or sauces used for the dishes were the best part of the meal.
