Food that's absolutely a must order include the hummus platter, with extraordinary fresh bread. and the baklava. Both are epic! I had the lunch special, which was lamb kebabs with white rice. Lamb was ok but not remarkably spiced nor that tender. But it was good. The rice was a bit mushy and there was little to no dressing on the salad nor the red cabbage on the dish. Would have loved to have had something more like rice pilaf. Requested some white yogurt dressing on the side and this brought it together. I don't think one can judge a place based on the lunch special so I will definitely be returning to try more of their entrées that they're known for. The place was packed so clearly locals know this is a good place to go!

The restaurant is open very simple, has a take out area in the front. It's a good size space and there was no wait on a Saturday evening. The service and food was good although it did not compare to other Turkish restaurants in New York. Everyone was polite, service was good, we were not rushed, prices were fair and they did put their own spin on a few dishes. They are great for families and offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are many choices on the menu for all your meal choices. For breakfast you can have eggs, pancakes, Belgian waffles, juices, coffee, teas, potatoes and much more. They offer salads, sandwiches, wraps and you can probably have them make you whatever you want in a variety of combinations. There were three of us and we shared the falafel balls, and the pan fried liver as appetizers. They were good but not the best they had. For entrees we had the baby lamb chops, the mixed grill and the chicken Shish kebab. The mixed grill and chicken shish kebab were very good. The portions were a good size. The lamb chops were just "ok" the quality and flavor were not up to par. I had the bulgar wheat instead of rice and that was excellent. I would recommend them for a nice, relaxed meal.

There's ample parking in front of the building. The restrooms are handicap, accessible The atmosphere is decorated with a beautiful Mediterranean theme, florals , wood themed throughout , greenery, and plants. Great for date night as well. Greeted via a wonderful gentleman Fred , who is also the owner of Mediterranean Grill. He seated us immediately. He took our order we decided to go with a chicken Shawarma wrap And lamb Shawar. Both had a beautiful presentation. We ordered a side dish of grape leaves and a hummus dip. The dip was amazing, smooth and creamy and flavorful, and the grape leaves had just the right touch of flavor, rolled to perfection. The chicken Shawarma was lightly seasoned with a garlic cream sauce. The lamb Shawarma was equally just as good and flavorful. The dessert was a Osmayli - creamy and delicious, not too heavy . The prices are reasonable. When I visit Bethlehem Pennsylvania again I would definitely stop by here and if you are here, I say stop by give it a try you will not be disappointed and you will thank me later Say hello to Fred

We both agreed that it was the best Mediterranean food we've ever had! I ordered the mixed grill (chicken, beef, and kafta) and she ordered the shish taouk (chicken). We also got an order of arnabeet (cauliflower) to share. Everything had so much flavor! All the meats were tender and seasoned to absolute perfection. Amazing, relaxing ambiance, intimate beautiful and unique dining spaces. Food is off-the-charts outstanding. Folks are friendly, warm and accommodating. I had the fresh spinach salad with the peanut dressing... Oh my goodness! Perfect in every way, portion, presentation, taste and even the lingering after taste sensations. We had the fresh Scottish Salmon.... I NEVER had salmon that was this exceptional... again, beautiful presentation, more than adequate portions, heavenly sensations had my taste buds doing the happy dance with each mouthful. Veggies were done exactly the way I love them, oh my. Then, for dessert, I have never had anything like their chocolate peanut butter pie. They had a fancy name for it but, ohhhhh my goodness! It is different to explain, but when I ate it, it was a wonderful explosion of gentle flavor, not overwhelming, perfect is all that comes to mind and... it was like I was eating flavored air because it was so light but the taste was amazing. We have always had a memorable positive experience over the years we have been there. We even had our son's wedding rehearsal dinner there and had many complements, even repeated years later. It was such a peaceful, relaxing respite from our busy lives. We will be returning soon.

I could not recommend 221 more highly. This 2- generational mom and pop gets an A in my book.

1741 Terrace is considered a fine dining establishment. There are $$$ next to the listing on Yelp,…read moreso it's not cheap. I would say the food is 5-stars and the service is 1-star. How can there be such a disconnect between the food and the service? It is a disservice to the the food/chef to have a staff of amateurs and the poor service lingers over the food to result in a 3-star experience. We had a celebratory graduation dinner at 1741 Terrace for a party of eight. We started out by ordering drinks. One of the drink orders was wrong. Bread is supposed to be placed on the table. All the other tables had it. We had to ask for it. The server had not cleared the plates from the table before giving us the desert menu. We had to ask for the plates to be cleared. We ordered a chocolate cake. We received a chocolate mousse. The server should know the difference. The little things make a difference. Attention to detail at a fine dining establishment matters, otherwise its not fine dining because the experience goes beyond the food. On top of all of that, the restaurant had the gall to add a 20% tip. A 20% tip assumes that the service was flawless. The service at 1741 Terrace was anything but. What ever happened to service? There's no pride in it anymore. It's become so common for servers to expect a tip without doing the work. I know that is a generalization, but it seems to be the rule rather than the exception in my experience. If you're looking for a place with great food but want to leave with a bad taste in your mouth, 1741 Terrace is your place. Professional food with amateur service should be the tagline for this place.
