Super cute tiny restaurant with really yummy food. I had their almond & veggie burrito - it was delicious. Especially on a cold winter day. The employees were incredibly kind & the food came out very fast! Love this place and am looking forward to coming back read more

This place is a nice option for Mexican food if you're in the Lehigh area! It's a cute little restaurant but it is very small with very little seating. The workers there are always nice but the food usually takes awhile so I would recommend calling ahead. They have nice portions and the food is pretty tasty! read more

Wanted to update my review in retrospect, seeing as I'm long gone from Lehigh, and mention that Tulum holds the distinction of being the first dining establishment to give me food poisoning. read more

Love. This. Place. They ALWAYS make sure to take care of me with my dairy allergy. Things used. from the fridge, freshly washed hands, SEPARATE BAG for my order. Always a pleasure going in, ordering, and the chit-chat. 10/10, in the rotation. read more

Delicious food! Enjoyed my Oaxacan burrito very much. House made sauces and salsas. Great local spot for Lehigh Uni.

Cheap, home style burritos that are just so filling. This place was talked up big and it exceeded expectations, both me and my fellow diner had eaten half our burritos before speaking a word to eachother. Cute lil counter and good service. Can't wait to try the wings! read more

My favorite, favorite place to get a burrito in Bethlehem!!! The Mayan is my true love. Highly recommend them! Fresh ingredients, wonderful service always! read more

I used to life off of Tulum back in undergrad (Lehigh)...and the livin was good. Real good. That's why I'm so friggin glad not much has changed since, being back for this most recent (and glorious) Lehigh/Lafayette weekend. There are certainly some new menu items, which sounded delicious (wingaritto?? whaaat). But for me, it has been and will always be about...is the Beef BethMex Burrito - loaded with rice, beans, cheese, Pico de Gallo, crema and a crisp tropical salad; just what an over-stressed electrical engineer (and starving alumnus coming off a super-late NYC bus). And being that I was starving (and figured a long night of festiveness was upon me), I opted for the extra beef + guac option...and couldn't have been happier. Assortment of sauces, gigundo-sized burrito...this (along with the Goose) is one of the few remaining establishments I'll always look forward coming back to. Never change. Never close. read more

I came here based of MANY recommendations, and I can say this places has absolutely exceeded my expectations. REAL good food. Burritos that won't put you into a food coma but won't leave you hungry what so ever. My favorite burrito is the almond kale burrito. Cannot try the wing burrito next. read more

It is very casual and small inside, but the food is great. The guac is amazing and the homemade chips are so good. They have vegan and gluten free options, so its really nice. Its so good and not too expensive either, as i got a burrito and chips and salsa for less than $15. read more

Awesome burritos and quesadillas, as well as arguably the best wings on the south side. There is absolutely nothing to complain about food wise, however, I am going to take a star off due to the long wait times. They are perpetually understaffed with one poor soul working the kitchen making half a dozen orders at once. read more

Stopped by Tulum today for a quick bite before class. First off, customer service is great, the employees there made me feel at home and were fast and efficient. I got the chicaron de queso to go and it was really good. Comes w rice, beans, fried cheese and chips. I am a hug fan of the chips I got, they are super unique. I would definitely come back when I'm not as busy and sit outside where the outdoor seating is! read more

I have been a fan of Tulum since they first opened. This place has survived the test of time with only 3 small tables and a few stools. Menu has remained consistent because what they do is authentic and perfect as it is. I am a fan of their Verde burrito and Beth Mex, if you want to live on the edge try their mole, yum! They offer two size burritos, regular and mini and trust me when I say the mini is enough. They also have tacos and quesadilla options. They now accommodate those who are gluten free with a shelless option (aka burrito bowl) which is generously sized and a million times better than Chipolte or you can opt for soft corn shell tacos. You get to pick your meat and while I'm typically a chicken girl you must get the pork here, it's phenomenal. Their house made salsas are amazing, I love the smokiness in the traditional one. Like spice? Feeling brave? Try the mango habanero, you won't feel your mouth for days! Things you should know, you'll need quarters for parking. Don't come with a group as seating is very limited. Food is made to order so take a seat and chill for a few. Lastly, on a hot day, wear as little clothes as possible, it's hot as you know what in there. But so worth it! read more

Tulum made my 4 years at Lehigh so much better. The food is incredible. I highly recommend the Wingarito or Wingadilla. The nachos are also amazing, and you can't go wrong with their wings. Although I recommend ordering ahead by calling, because they make everything fresh so you could find yourself waiting for a bit. read more

This place is an absolute hidden gem. Hands down a 10 out of 10. From the wings to tacos this place is incredible. Highly recommend.

Wings are amazing and burritos are solid as well. Great small spot for affordable takeout.

Our choice for date night was this place called Tulum and we regretted picking this place after our visit. We dined in and ordered a beef burrito Beth-Mex Style, Chicken Quesadilla, and Nachos. The beef burrito was a proportional size but lacked flavor and the beef was shredded not grilled. This cause the burrito to taste watery and saucy but not Ina a good way. As far as burritos go I would rate it a 3 out of 5. It will fill you up but you may have an upset stomach situation. The worst of the choices we selected was the chicken quesadilla, which we regretted immediately after tasting and tossed into the trash almost entirely. The chicken was watery, didn't have any seasoning and tasted rubbery. It was served with a garnish of Lettuce and beets, sour cream and salsa on the side. A definite thumbs down . The best of all was the nachos which isn't saying too much cause it's hard to mess up nachos, these were loaded with Lettuce, Pico de Gallo and sour cream. These had plenty of flavor and the chips had a great crunchy vibe that made for a delicious taste. We're not done yet, the funky funny stuff we noticed as we waited for our food. Our chef didn't have any sanitary gloves on and was so distracted as she made our food, more focused on talking with her friends and discussing bitcoin, and instead of having the cook or chef have gloves the server put on gloves to serve our food to us. Something so complete backwards. Please I advise you don't eat here. Gas station burritos and quesadillas have more flavor. Try La Lupita restaurant , you'll get more flavor and you won't have chorros a.k.a bubble guts after. read more

One of my favorite go-to restaurants for takeout in Bethlehem. Try the wings! Burrito bowl or soft shell tacos are my best gluten free options there! Sometimes I cheat and get a mahi mahi taco or regular burrito though and it's so worth it. Hot sauces are amazing, too! read more

Anything below 5 stars is ridiculous. This little place has some of the best food in the area. Quantity and quality. Burritos are absolutely delicious and large. The wings are amazing, with their own wing sauce. The wing sauce alone is worth a trip. 5 stars all day everyday!!!! read more

Burritos are fantastic. Tacos are huge. Service is outstanding. My Bethlehem fav.

Good food, friendly service, reasonable prices. Easy location to get to, as a bonus. Five stars.

Delicious variety of Mexican food hidden in Bethlehem! There were good options for me as a vegetarian which was a great surprise. We had their home made guacamole and tortilla chips, veggie burrito with mole sauce and chicken burrito with their wing sauce. They were all great and we have no critiques for those dishes. One of the workers suggested the almond veggie quesadilla with mole sauce for next time. Also, the service was very quick which was nice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend and plan on returning here myself. One tip is that they have limited seating. We easily got a table on a Saturday night, so I'm not sure if the seating is actually an issue. read more

As I sit on my recliner with a belly full of burrito, I can't wait to come back. Best burrito I've ever had. Fast and friendly service. I like the vibe they have going on.

The best burrito in town. I always get the Beth Mex and the ingredients are ALWAYS fresh and the flavor is insane. I recommend this place to everyone read more

Closed- went on a Saturday and it was randomly closed with no way of knowing ahead. Sad

I'm in town for work and was in the mood for Mexican food. This was the first place that popped up with excellent reviews. When I walked in....I was extremely skeptical. With the menu and the vibe - it reminded me of Midtown Hipster Detroit. The staff was attentive and modified some items for me when necessary. When I finally got to eat it - it really was amazing. The cabbage slaw that's on the soft tacos adds so much flavor to it. I'll definitely be back. I'm marking it down one star because of the wait time though. There's two girls in the small kitchen and it took over 30 minutes to get my food. Not sure what an alternative would be (due to space) but that was a drawback. read more

I've been coming here since my daughter was a student at Lehigh University. I live 1.5 hours away, but I still make it in about once a month. The Beth-Mex burrito and Beth-Mex wings are a must-have every visit! The quesadillas, tacos and selection of house-made sauces are also excellent. Had a fantastic lunch on the rear patio on a beautiful sunny Saturday. Go Engineers! read more

Their burritos are amazing! Just because I'm obligated to compare every burrito place to Chipotle: Tulum beats Chipotle out of the ballpark. I usually get the beth mex, but decided to try the wingaritto today. The hot sauce and blue cheese combo was SO good. So if their food is so damn good, then why the 3 stars? As I was waiting for my food today (the wait is another story), I witnessed the cashier touching food with her bare hands after ringing out a customer. After touching the credit card reader, she started assembling tacos and burritos without washing her hands or putting on gloves. She reached into the containers and grabbed cheese, toasted almonds, and lime wedges. The cook was also not wearing gloves, but she used tongs to grab the ingredients, and I never witnessed her touching any food with bare hands. As for the wait--expect to wait around 30-40 minutes unless you call ahead for takeout. There is only one cook and one cashier who takes your order- although she does help with assembling some orders (with bare hands though...). Please take sanitation seriously! read more

I've probably been to this place a total of 5 times and with each time I question my own existence and purpose in life even more than the last time. I could be having the greatest day of all time just to have tulum make me want to hurl myself off a bridge 15 minutes later. I'll order my food, do 6 hours of homework, drive across the country round trip, and then show up to tulum just to say they forgot to start my order. This is unacceptable and it's time to speak out about it before more people's lives are ruined by them too like mine. read more
