There is a huge selection of colors, they do gel and dip powder, the pedicure massage chair is the BEST I've experienced thus far and Richard was perfect! He listened to what I wanted and made sure I was always comfortable. He was very gentle with the nail tools (this is the most important) and gave a better foot massage than my massage therapist of 3 years. I will definitely go back to see Richard. read more

I will never come to Variety Nails again! THEY DO NOT TAKE CARE OF BLACK CUSTOMERS. I had an appointment at 12 noon with Tracy for fill and a pedicure with Hanna after my nail appointment. When I get there Tracy still had a customer in her chair at 12:05, so Hanna starts my toes at 12:20. At 1:02 pm the manager comes over and tells Tracy has another appointment and can not take you, (mind you Tracy told me to come at 12!) and she didnt have a customer from 12:28 to 1:10. I asked tha manager at 12:40 is Tracy taking me and he didnt answer me. The level of customer service and lack of communication is ridiculous. DO NOT GO TO VARIETY NAILS! I was a walk-in appt. greeted promptly and my wait time was actually what they told me, 5 mins. Before I was walked back to my chair I was asked what style nails I liked/wanted. The nail tech (I didn't get his name) checked that I was satisfied every step of my full set, double checked that I liked the color I had picked out. I will definitely be back ! **** I have since changed my review ******* These are my nails a week after I got them redone , yes , RE-done I came in to get a fill and gel polish. Day one "the fill" The women who did my nails was in a rush , and did my gels SOOOO poorly , there was hair UNDERNEATH my gel( like legit hair) , and the gel itself was bumpy and just overall rushed, I couldn't tell the complete damage until I got in my car , I didn't have time to get them fixed that day because I had work. I called back within 5 minutes after I left and spoke to a manager, and proceeded to explain why I was upset. He said okay and to come back and they would fix it. I wish I would have just gotten a refund, and gone somewhere else. Day two (two days later) "the fix" I came back and was told to sit down at the table were there was a women who wasn't skilled in acrylics, proceed to drill off my gel polish almost burning my fingers underneath because she was just holding the drill in one area instead of drilling side to side. As she's basically burning me she proceeded to tell me it's going to be $15 , I then say "oh no the man said to come back and someone would fix them because I was here 2 days ago and they were messed up" she went to go ask someone and they agreed that I didn't have to pay , however you were going to charge me half of what I paid , because someone messed up my gel for what ¿ Once she FINALLY got the gel off All 10 nails ( 15 minutes and 20 seconds later , not a exaggeration I timed her) she then proceeds to tell me go wash my hands. At this point It is very visible that my acrylics are uneven , I am sitting in the chair debating on causing a scene or giver her the benefit of the doubt. I give her the benefit and wash my hands. As I sit back down , I can see her grab the polish, I am almost in shambles because she's about to polish over all these bumps. Before I can say anything to her , a man (manager) walks in and I walks over to me , looks at my nails and says okay I'll be right with and tells her to stop. I think my savior has come and that I am about to walk out feelings good about my nails.... wrong. He gestures me to go over to the first chair where he is sitting I go over and we're talking and he is drilling (evening out my acrylics) and buffing my nails so they are even. And then tries to polish my nails to the best of his abilities, they are not perfect but they are better then before , so who am I to be an ass about a polish job ? Now you're probably thinking well why are you complaining. If you know anything about acrylics , the more you drill the more brittle the nails get , so this whole this man is doing all this drilling to even out my nails he didn't add another layer of power leaving my acrylics THIN ASS HELL. These were suppose to be my birthday nails so you can understand my frustration. I am walking around with 2 badly chipped nails , and 2 breaking nails. When I got my nails done one week ago. 30 dollars down the drain. And a big ass headache. read more

Went to Variety Nails today because they are having a 20% off sale for the first month they are open and I seriously will never go anywhere else! Terry, the manager, was so friendly and professional. My nails look the best they have EVER looked. The shop is stunning and very clean. They have a separate ventilated room specifically for acrylic so the whole salon doesn't smell. Update... I tried this place again this weekend when my friend wanted to get manis & pedis... we were quoted a 15 minute wait and I was skeptical. Turned out to be another 45 minute wait! I waited 20 minutes to be seated in a pedicure chair and then another 25 minutes to begin my pedicure. The water started out too hot and was freezing cold by the time we got started. I guess my last feedback... even though it got a comment and promise to try to be better, fell upon deaf ears! I called for a pedicure appointment today and was told there is no wait and to come into the salon in 10 minutes. I came in after 5 minutes to find 4 people already waiting ahead of me. The manager then told me it was a 10 minute wait. I waited on the couch for 20 minutes. I was directed to a pedicure chair where my feet sat in cold water for another 25 minutes before I was helped. When I was helped the gentleman who did my pedicure was nice but smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. He also set his timer for massage before even getting my feet out of the water. When my pedicure was over he rushed me out and told me I was all set instead of waiting for the polish to dry... which I thought was strange as there were other chairs open around me. I understand being busy but please set an accurate expectation of the wait time and don't cheat your customer of their services which they are paying for. Also, the selection for gel polish is great but non-gel polish color selection is lacking. read more

PLEASE READ!! they are not clean she did a good job on my toes i guess but i noticed the jet thing she plugged into my water already had some orange looking scrub on it also she just wiped off the cuticle trimmers which made me feel like they had someone else's skin on there. also i don't appreciate the lady playing crazy charging the card for more than what i told her to. she ended up giving me it back in cash immediately because she knows what's up she probably always does that to people. oh yeah i woke up sick also and i have been healthy this whole pandemic until i went to this shop. i had something important to do and ive had to cancel appointments because i don't feel good! I just moved to chandler and heard about this salon from a few ladies to go here. I went in for an ombré full set, showed her a picture and she said ok she can do that. She started applying a completely different color so I asked her to switch it. So we started again, I explained to her I like my nails straight and narrow. She completely disregarded what I asked for when it came to the shape and continued. At this point I let her finish and left. After about 2 days my nails started to crack on about 2 or 3 nails due to how long and thin she did them. A day later a Few diamonds came off and a nail completely broke. I called and asked if I could come in to get it fixed and they said yes. I pulled up and a man told me they were too busy to fix my ONE nail. I tried again the next day to come in and was told the same thing. After waiting 40 mins I left and decided to try once more. GUESS WHAT!?! They told me they were too busy so I went to Canvas Nails and they did an AMAZING job. The only reason they get 2 stars is because they were reasonably priced but now I know why. DONT GO HERE! We walked in and the lady doing pedicures barks "yeah what you want?" Then the lady waiting before us got sat for her manicure and they soaked her nails for over 20 mins. The lady finally said my neck and wrist hurt. After 20 mins they finally put water in our pedicure bowls. Then we sat then a lady came and started on my daughter then she left after 1 min then another lady came and started then left then the original lady came back. The lady who started my feet has now left twice to do a ladies manicure. She did not wash her hands when she went from my feet to her hands. I made her wash her hands when she came back. Very mediocre. I have been getting my nails done for probably 10 years now, so I know what I am looking for. I went in with my daughter for my gel set and her pedicure. I asked if they had time and they said yes. Well, I ended up waiting 20 minutes for any work to be started. A few others were in the same boat and one lady ended up leaving as she mentioned she waited 45 minutes. I had to keep correcting how she did my nails and several of them came out crooked. My daughters pedicure looked like nothing was done on it. Just terrible. Please save your money. read more

I am going on week three of a gel manicure and regular spa pedicure from Variety Nails. That's a plus for me. I am always fearful of trying new nail salons, but on this day, I just had no time to make it to my usual place, so I took a chance based on Yelp reviews. Variety Nails had a Yelp Check In offer too.. a plus! I loved how neat; clean and posh the place looked and I also loved that the gel color swatches were NOT on a ring but rather enclosed in a 'book' form. I have to stay with neutral ; french or reds for my career so all the fun colors must wait until I am on vacation. They had my 'pinterest' favorites and good brands I recognized. It was a relaxing spot and not expensive. MY only down was that it took two hours to get my nails done.. I've never had so many coats put on my fingers of gel and I even had to say..'we're good here!' :-) I would come back here and just say.. I have to be out at 'x' time! Absolutely the worst manicure I've ever had. Started with telling one of the ladies we wanted two gel manicures and she asked if we could wait half an hour, which wasn't a big deal so we went shopping for about 20 minutes and came back. When we got back they had started to prepare pedicures for us, clearly not what we asked for. Then we had to wait longer for someone to do our nails. When we sat down they asked what colors we wanted. My friend had picked out a medium/dark evergreen color and I picked a super dark, almost black, purple with barely visible shimmer to it. I didn't want black, but something near black so was excited to see this color. That's when it got started. First of all, the TOWELS that covered the table were dirty. When they started cutting the cuticles, he made me bleed, TWICE. Not only did it hurt, but all he said was 'Oh God', and continued. What?! Neither of the nail people (I can't call them a technician) cleaned up the dirty fingernails or skin, they simply left it on the towel the ENTIRE time. I looked over and another lady that was finishing her manicure got up, and the person that did her nails shook the towel on the floor. So that person's DNA, skin, nail trimmings, etc, were on the floor. I almost threw up. I really wanted to leave after seeing that but we ended up staying. Then came the paint. With dark colors, I know you have to use more than one coat. However, after the first brush stroke, I was asked if that is suitable. It was like a dandelion red. NO, it wasn't even CLOSE to the color I had shown them. He put another coat on and it was still very light compared to the paint chip I had picked. I said I wanted almost black and that wasn't even near what I picked out, so he offered to put straight up black nail polish over it. Not wanting to argue and needing a vat of wine at that point, I agreed it would be fine. Later, using the UV light drying lamp, I noticed paint and dust all over it. I seriously considered wiping it down with sanitizer, but once you're down the rabbit hole, you start getting an idgaf mentality and I just wanted the nightmare to be over. Then, of course, he broke the brush within the nail polish bottle. Also, of course, they did not have a second bottle of basic black polish, so he dipped the brush from the first colored bottle to use in the black one. Neat. Then was the matter of paying. One of the ladies said she was going to give us a discount for the first issue of us waiting for 30 minutes. I reminded them of that and they responded that it would 10% off, which is nothing, but fine. Fast forward to today and they charged my card with the full amount. I hope this place goes down faster than a hooker with a house payment. read more

FROM THIS PLACE AND ITS GERMS. I was put in the emergency room and never got money back for it when I had let them know . I had a purple line going through my thumb up to my elbow .
