First of all, I would like to complement the Camarillo outlet center for a good job controlling it traffic and keeping the facilities clean. Even in the slower season by Quiktrip to the bathroom was pleasant because the bathroom had obviously just been cleaned up. The parking lot was nice and neat. so now let's move to the Vans outlet center. When I arrived there, I was immediately greeted truthfully by an employee Nalea (I believe that's how it spelled). The door was very well organized and had been placed back to a very convenient and clean floor map. There wasn't but a few customers in the store, but the employees were attentive and I found my selection quickly. Also just to note that today, I also found my deal of the day. they have a special that's pretty much ongoing at this store that if you buy a regular pair of shoes at regular outlet price, which is still discounted, then you get a second pair of on sale shoes for 50% off. So today, my bonus pair of shoes for the grand total of 10 bucks, I'm happy with them and can't can't wait to support them in the neighborhood. I come here mostly for the checkered classic Vans but sometimes wind up with some funky BOGO/clearance stuff. Just can't get away from these shoes since they are so nostalgic for me. Are they the comfiest? Nah. Are they cool? Well, heck yeah they are! Service is typically pretty good; it can be pretty busy since it's in the outlets. Expect rude customers and kids running all over (sadly). I would definitely suggest hitting the clearance racks FIRST. I've found so many cool things which were the last one they had so jump quick if you see something you like. Got checked Vans for myself, little sis, 2 nieces... because we keep it in the fam like that :) Also found my little sis some awesome multi color/design high tops for $18! If you can tolerate crowds and love deals, this Vans outlet is worth the occasional eye rolls. read more

Spectacular store. It's the Outlet. I came here about a week prior to this review. Got 2 pairs of shoes, 2 shirts and a new backpack and it all came under $100. Was pretty surprised honestly. There was a blonde(?) lady who helped me and my mom and she was super friendly. We came way out from the San Fernando Valley for the outlets and Vans was a major stop for us so I'm happy it worked out as well as it did. Obviously with it being the outlet you can't always predict what'll be here, but I was pleased with the selection this time. The backpack I got (checkered red) was sort of the only style that wasn't extremely basic but the price was 50% off original so if you need one this was a good spot for it. read more

The store started off like a disaster. Shoe sizes/sexes aisles are marked incorrectly. Many shoes have no prices. Aisles are so tight you can barely walk down. But then you find a nice pair of vans for you or the kid $20, then you get %50 off second pair. So 2 pairs of Van's $30 = I'll shut up about the other stuff. Good deals if you look hard. read more

As I was in the store today the cashier told me I can get another item for 50% off so I continued to look around I found a pair of kid shoes in the clearance section and when I got to the register the associate Katie said they were both going to be full price. I asked her why if they were in the clearance section she then got an attitude with me and was very disrespectful after I told her that I wasn't going to get the second pair she started throwing around the shoes and did not have good customer service at all, I live in Camarillo and would rather drive to the Ventura location rather then this one. The associates need to be more clear as to what exactly is 50% off rather then just pointing to the back of the store and saying "any of the items back there" read more

I buy most of my Vans here. And I own a LOT of Vans. So, that said, I cannot pass up this Vans outlet when I come to the Camarillo Outlets. They sell clearance Vans here, as well as regularly priced ones. Whenever I come here, they have their Buy One, Get One Half Off. Which means I get two pairs of Vans for around $40-$60. Not bad.... selection: 3 stars The clearance aisle isn't full of Vans I love, but it has a few that I do. It can be hard to find some. But I love the fact that most of them are classic, with different prints, because I only wear the classics and authentics. cleanliness: 3.5 stars When I came in, I noticed that they moved a few things around. In my opinion, I thought it looked great. The boxes weren't messy on the shelves, loved that part. But, like people said, some shoes were mixed up, not in the right section, etc. staff: 3 stars They ask if you need help and are very nice about answering questions. Only problem, not all of them know their stuff, and while some work really hard on keeping shoppers happy, others are doing nothing and have no personality. happiness with my products? = 500 stars! One of my favorite stores for the kids. I can always rely on "Buy One, Get One Half Off". Most shoes are $20 or $30 plus the 1/2 off. So I can usually get 2 pairs for $30-$40. Not bad. The shoes are usually shelved correctly according to size, which makes it easy to find what I'm looking for. The staff are very friendly and never hesitate to assist. Sometimes the stores gets extremely busy, but the staff remain professional and continue to provide great customer service. Additionally, they have sales on the apparel and accessories. Buy 1, Get 1 FREE. Pure Awesomeness!!! A backpack and purse for $20. Or 2 mens' sweaters for $30. Lastly are the BONUS BUCKS. Several times a year they issue $20 off coupons when you spend $50. My experience at this store was not all that good until I got to the. Register. I was in the store with a old friend and my 9 week old Golden retriever. I was looking for shoes for my 8 yr old son and myself . There were about 12 employees on the floor working and about 10 customesr not osne asked if we needed any help or how we were doing. When we reached the register a very friendly girl named Abby was able to help us with and make us feel more welcome. Vans was one of my favorite places to shop but unfortunately that is no longer the case. Apparently I am no longer allowed to make a purchase at this location. I was purchasing too many of their buy one get on free shoes. The assistant store manager said "several of the managers have noticed you and we will no longer allow you to make bulk purchases". I called to confirm and the store manager said I was allowed to buy one item if it was for me, she said "as long as its for you and we can tell". That's abhorrent and wrong. Vans is under the umbrella of the VF corporation, if I was an investor i would remove all money ASAP. They are anti- business! I was spending thousands of dollars a week, not anymore. I called this a ban and they said it was not a ban, when you don't allow a customer to make typical purchases, it's a ban. What a shame. I am still waiting on a call by the DM by the way. I tried on a pair of animal print shoes hanging off the clearance section. All animal print shoes similar was $19.95 and these were the only ones in my size but not priced with a clearance tag but the ordinary $65. I asked a guy working there if they were clearance, he responded yes and he said he would look up how much they actually cost but assured me they were not $65. 10 minutes later he came up to me saying that the shoes are a "returned custom" shoe and he cannot find the price. He had to wait for the store manager who'd just stepped outside for a break for a couple of minutes. He took my name and told me that he'd put the shoe on hold and as soon as the manager would be back he would have the shoes priced. I browsed thru the store for yet another 15 minutes, no sign of a manager. I asked one of the female sales associates if they could speak to the manager and give me a call back with the price. She looked at me as if I had asked for her for her first born child and said that she couldn't do that. That being call me back with a price of the item! As I was walking thru the door I ran by the same guy I spoke to the first round and he also said they could not call me but for me to check in back later. An hour and a coffee later I popped by the store and asked for the store manager. He was not there but the assistant manager was. He had NOT been informed regarding the price issue and no price had yet been determined. He asked me to wait for a couple of minutes while he would figure it out. I browsed thru the store as he was going to look it up. About 10 minutes later I had to remind him to look up the price, took him about 15 minutes to come back and let me know that the shoe was full price of $65. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Have I waited around for nearly two hours to hear that the shoe I wanted was full price?! I left the store without the shoes. How could a pair of RETURNED CUSTOM MADE shoes cost as much as they do if I custom make them myself online for $65?! Especially when the exact same pair but with a white sole in the box above these was marked at $19.95. read more

It was ok. I liked how helpful and nice the staffs are. I also liked how they always have sales. Although, there are also negative sides for this. The shoes aren't organized well and some of them looked like a hundred people put them on and never fixed it. Also, they don't have enough shoes stocked so sometimes all the shoes left are the bad ones and not the one I'm looking for. Tons of people in line and there is plenty of employees working yet only 2 registers open. Why is there a closed register when the line is wrapped about 45 people deep? Awful management at this store! Store was packed on a Sunday and only one register open. I was second in line and waited more than 20 mins to be helped. Person in front of me was making a return and really took more than 20 mins. Employees by the door standing around and looking at the line the whole time which grew to about 18 people by time I left! Hit and miss but mostly awesome. I love the buy one get one half off. I have big feet which can be expensive, but sometimes I can get shoes for $10 like the other yelper said. The employees are either really helpful, or really snobby. But this isn't some high end shoe store. It's easy to help yourself. I do wish they had a better selection of bigger shoes tho. I was pleasantly surprised that the sale is buy one shoe at regular price get a sale shoe for half price. We got my son 2 pairs of shoes for $60 not bad at all for vans. The lady with blue hair I don't know her name was very helpful with all of our questions and the checkout clerk was so nice to my son.
