At Brentwood, Brian and Romero have been incredibly helpful, thoughtful, and honest in guiding fit and selections. We were there few weeks ago checking out a leather jacket, since it was our second store we started shopping at, we decided to come back later for a jacket I really liked. I asked the girl nicely that I really like the jacket but would like to look around and come back for it. She looked at me head to toes and said: "I can only hold it for 20 mins" in a really condescending tone. The first store we went was theory men store right next door and my husband a sweater held for later. When I asked what the final price would be; she was very unwilling to pull her calculator out and said it's not refundable because it's final sale again in a condescending tone! I say okay I will think about it, she said have a good day and took the jacket out of my hands in a rudely manner!! I don't wanna be racist or anything, but if the manager reads this she is Asian young lady and have her hair dyed Ashy grey/ blonde. It kind of put us in a bad mood after we left the store and didn't even wanna come back the second time. But deep down, I feel sad for her life! read more

I stepped into the store just to browse and decided to try on a black blazer. The staff who helped me pointed out to where it was, and so I tried it on. As I was just putting it on, she jumps and asks "how do you like it?" I understand customer service, but it's like ok, let me actually walk to the mirror and see it on me first before asking me what I think. I literally just put it on. Next, I attempt to place it back on the hanger, exactly where I got it. And she gestures that she'll take it from across the table of clothes. I didn't mind placing it back just the way I saw it, to save her the extra minute of fixing the display. But she goes ahead and shortly says, "No, I have to put it back for quarantine." As this would be ok to say, it was more of her tone. She just sounds rude, at least wait till I walk away, you made me feel like I had Covid. Jeez. That definitely made me feel uncomfortable in shopping in the rest of the store. Don't shop here during COVID, they are definitely not hospitable. read more

I'm giving this business a negative 5 stars. My friend and I came in. Took a minute to sit in the chairs to catch our breath before shopping in the store. Our short break was interrupted by a mean worker that pointed out benches were available outside. She was extremely hurtful. I wasn't able to get a name but she was wearing Frankenstein boots. I wish I would have said something, but I guess she feels privileged folding shirts at minimum wage. We were planning on shopping there but I think she thought we couldn't afford it because of our appearance. I haven't been to the Camarillo Outlet in a very long time, so I was pleasently surprised to see a Theory store. It looks just like another one of their stores. Spacious. Clean. Uncomplicated. Theory is known for their classic, quality, luxuriously-simple clothing, so I was a little surprised that they would even have an outlet store. The store has a wide selection of men's and women's clothing. I bought a v-neck tee for $30. LOVES IT! P.S. If you have a AAA membership or buy it for about $5, go to the.. i think information center, to get the VIP Coupon Book. You can use it to get discounts at a lot of the stores (ex. at American Apparel you can get 10% off your entire purchase). For Theory, if you spend $350 you can get 15% off. Their clothes are all outlet prices, but i know that it won't be too difficult to spend $350 :D read more

We received horrible customer service here. The store is nice enough but the people working here make it so unpleasant we didn't want to purchase things we liked. It wasn't just one associate -- 3 different women all didn't want to bother assisting us in any way. And I believe the guy who posted about his awful experience being told he could return something and then needing to return it and not being able to. Fortunately, we weren't in that position but when my wife and I asked about the return policy for gifts we were considering, two different sales women scoffed two different things at us ( 1 said yes returnable within 30 days and the other said no not at all for the same items). Then, when we were looking at sizes and wanted to see if there was a difference between them, the saleswoman rolled her eyes and said it was 'as marked'. Wow, thank you. None of the employees wants to do anything but ring you up and it makes spending hard-earned money there unappealing as it is certainly not appreciated by the employees who clearly do not realise their customers are not a nuisance and are actually the only reason they have employment. I hope someone will do something about it; until then -- buyer beware. read more

Customer service is great and they always help me by showing me what's new or trending when I have no clue what to buy. My fiance and I stock up here every few months and are always treated well and never made to feel badly that we have to try on a zillion items before settling on only a handful. I am very surprised to read the review on Trevor. He has been extremely helpful, even going out of his way to photograph and email me photos of possible suits for my fiance for our upcoming wedding. I have only found this kind of service from Yves Saint Laurent in Palm Springs as far as outlets go, so hats off to Theory. read more

You truly get a luxury shopping experience here. To be fair, you are spending a LOT of money so enjoy it.... The customer service was extremely attentive helping me place items in the fitting room, tracking down sizes, and giving advice on the fitting. They also work to provide you the best discount as well, which I appreciated since I am breaking the bank for this.... Also, the sales associates offer to send you emails of the latest promotions. They don't have an online store but the sales associates can email you pictures of items and ship it to you as well. This is my first time shopping exp. at Theory so the price tag blew me away at first but honestly the outlet price for the quality of the material isn't so bad... If you can afford it, the pieces at Theory are cut so well and the material is extremely comfortable. It'll last you for years. As someone who travels a lot, I know the suit I bought would be comfortable for long plane rides and not wrinkle easily. It's also very lightweight material so it'll transport fairly easily without taking up too much room. The garment bag they give you is pretty cool too. It folds up and zips into this compact size, which is perfect for travel. read more

I just returned from yet another shopping trip at Theory Camarillo. I've been to a few of the other locations but none of them cut it quite like the Camarillo store. I mainly always work with Trevor, as he has been there for as long as I've been shopping there. He is always extremely helpful and calls me to remind me of upcoming sales and promotions. I thought it was about time to write a review about this place since shopping here for about 4 years. I do miss the old store manager Melissa, and the old assistant manager Saira. They always have a really nice selection of product and the staff always goes out of their way for the customers, especially Trevor. I also read the negative review about him posted on the first of this month, and those clients couldn't be more wrong about him. Maybe he was having a bad day or something, but hey doesn't everyone?? I have never EVER had a bad experience with him. So I hope no one takes that review to heart because that just doesn't sound like him. Everyone should check this store out, you can always use some classic Theory pieces in your wardrobe. read more
