I just walked into the Fleet Feet location in Agoura Hills looking for help with orthotics. I…read moreapproached a young employee who was dismissive and passive-aggressive in his response. He told me to wait 20 minutes he had another and walked away without offering any context or basic customer engagement. I understand retail can be busy, but professionalism is simple: acknowledge the customer, communicate clearly, and manage expectations respectfully. As someone who runs departments in the film and television industry, I can say this plainly - if one of my team members handled a guest or anybody that way, we'd have a serious conversation about standards. Leadership starts with how you treat people in small moments. I hope this feedback is taken constructively. Customer service is what separates a specialty store from a big box retailer.

Right away, he was able to recommend the perfect shoe. The scan they do of your feet is awesome. Joe was super knowledgeable and personable, my boyfriend had an all around great experience. Joe wasn't pushy or trying to upsell in any way. I won't throw any names out, but it was a much nicer experience than another place I've been to. That other place felt more like a factory, while here was the exact opposite. We were in and out within 30 minutes and my boyfriend is really looking forward to wearing his new shoes to work! Highly recommend this place to anyone. I think mainly they cater to runners, but it seems they have plenty of options for nurses, doctors, teachers, etc., anybody who is on their feet all day.

Kailee is incredible. I walked into road runner sports with a very specific use case. I explained…read morethe situation and she made 1 main recommendations and then 2 others just in case the first didn't work out. I had my heart partially set on a pair of brooks, and out of the kindness of her heart, even though she knew it wouldn't work out for me, she still brought them out for me to try. let me tell you, I wont doubt her again. Every reason she gave on why each pair would be good or bad came true right before my eyes the second I tried each of them on. I can tell that she puts passion and effort into the things she does and I really appreciated the genuine feedback and opinions she shared with me. Kailee is an incredible asset to Road Runner Sports and it was truly a blessing to have crossed paths with her. If you need some new shoes, walk in and ask for Kailee. I can guarantee you will be in good hands!

You would think the sales would be more important than stocking, especially since my son and I were both prepared to purchase new shoes. We ended up leaving. Secondly, beware of their so called VIP family rewards. I called four months before the auto renewal and received email confirmation that we are no longer enrolled for auto renewal. Near the one year mark I received an email notifying me of my auto renewal of $49.99. I responded to the email with my confirmation from months before that I should not be charged. Today I received a bright and cheerful email that I've been successful auto renewed for $49.99. I had to call a second time and deal with this. Really poor customer service and nasty marketing strategies. We would have liked to support a real shoe store and not give our business to Amazon.

My fiancé and I visited the Famous Footwear location in Moorpark CA last night expecting a normal,…read morepleasant shopping experience, but left feeling completely shaken. While trying on a pair of boots, I briefly sat on a ladder that had been left out on the sales floor. Within seconds, an employee named Alexis (brown Nike sweater) rushed over and, in an aggressive tone, demanded that I "get off the ladder right now." I immediately acknowledged her and began complying, but I needed a moment to put my shoe back on. Despite this, she continued repeating, in a raised and hostile voice, that I needed to get off "right now," not allowing me even a second to finish putting my shoe on. I asked why I was being spoken to that way while actively complying, but the tone never changed. At one point, she stated she was "not going to get in trouble for this." Once I stood up, she forcefully pushed the ladder toward the back of the store in a visibly frustrated manner, murmuring curse words under her breath and even running into an aisle. This entire interaction happened in front of other customers, including a family. I asked for her name and to speak with a manager, but was told no manager was present and to go to the cashier. By the time I got to the front, I was visibly shaking and trying to hold back tears because I couldn't believe how I had just been spoken to. The cashier (glasses lady) initially seemed somewhat understanding and told me I could contact the store manager (Humberto) the next day. However, when my fiancé went back in to ask for a customer service number to file a formal complaint, her demeanor completely changed. She became dismissive, said "there are two sides to the story," and refused to provide any additional help or explanation. At that point, it felt like we were being treated as if we were lying or had done something wrong. I fully understand safety concerns and would have had absolutely no issue moving if I had been approached in a calm and respectful way. A simple, "Hey, I'm sorry, we can't have customers sit on the ladder, but you're welcome to use the seating area," would have resolved this immediately. Instead, the situation was handled with hostility from the start and escalated unnecessarily, leaving me so upset that I left the store in tears. This kind of behavior is not acceptable, and no customer should be treated this way over something so minor.
