If you are even slightly interested in buying Birkenstocks buy them HERE! I seriously never write reviews and rarely buy myself anything but here I am because of this business and the OWNER! My husband and I stopped in on a night away in Ventura, 15 minutes before closing and Joann(the owner) didn't seem the least bit concerned. Instead she listened to our story of having four kiddos, assisted me with colors/styles that worked well for me, helped multiple customers seamlessly (even added holes to someone's sandals free of charge) and never once rushed me as we stayed passed her closing time. She is one of the most down to earth business owners we've ever met and she is extremely knowledgeable about the brand. She shared that although kiddos weren't what she wanted she commended families like us. And now I commend her for using her gift to run that store so well! So what I ended up buying is the best part of the story!! I grabbed this cute clog that I never thought I'd actually buy and was like "hey this is comfy". She proceeds to tell me "please take that clog, it's my last one and everyone keeps asking if we'll get more!" I tell her the pair I was wearing someone gifted me about 8 years ago. She said as soon as I walked in the store she was going to tell me I couldn't leave without buying a new pair because of how worn they were and that those weren't supporting my lower back. So I asked her to give it to me straight about the price and she immediately said she'd give me a discount since it was the last pair! As a mom of four I was like umm yes please because I'm super frugal. So I went to pay and scrounged through my purse for any cash I had to avoid as much possible from the credit card processing fee-luckily I had a bit since my bday had just passed. I gave her the cash and asked if I could pay the remaining with card. She says you know what... I'll give them to you for the cash you just gave me. I said what are you serious?!?! And she said "yes you need them to keep raising those babies." I gave her a hug and told her thank you because it was more of blessing than she knew. I will never buy Birkenstocks anywhere else, discount or not. This woman is amazing. Support her business. Pictured are my new clogs and my old faithfuls that needed replacing. read more

I am not your high heel kind of girl, I actually have issues with my feet, my nails, etc so what I wear needs to be comfortable first and cute second. Not complaining, so I popped inside this nice shoe store in Ventura, which is a nice find. My cup of tea, great selection, comfy sandals, OK prices and very nice customer service. Too bad it's closed on Sundays, but it's a small business, so they need some time off as well! I noticed a few Birkenstock models of sandals that were new to me, so I purchased one. Nice chatting with the lady working here, sorry I can't remember her name. But Ill be back! read more

Birkenstock - Arizona BS taupe - Shoe Stores Near Me - Ventura, California

I normally don't write reviews, but I feel this needs to be shared. Over a month ago, my boyfriend and I visited this Birkenstock store looking to buy specific shoe styles. The employee we spoke to was friendly and took our name, phone number, shoe sizes, and styles, she said it would take over a week to come in, but didn't give a clear timeframe. It's now been well over a month with zero communication from the store. We've tried to call a couple times but only get a voicemail, and no one ever calls back. We understand delays can happen, but the complete lack of follow-up and transparency is really disappointing. If you're thinking about ordering something through this location, just be aware that communication may be an issue and wait times can be way longer than expected. We're still waiting and honestly not even sure if our shoes are coming at this point or if it's worth the wait. read more

Just a great experience, I'm local and wanted some Birks on a whim for a trip next week...I've had 2 pairs but one was the vegan style and way to stiff, the other was leather sole on cork with vegan black straps...not vegan so not opposed to leather but I thought they would be beach/camping friendly - they are not! I jacked them up, Owner has had the store for 27+ years, gave me the low down on care for my Birks, and I walked out happy with my pair. Thank you. read more

I was referred to this store by my physical therapist. I had broken my fifth metatarsal in November 2021. The bone has since healed -thank goodness- but I did experience a lot of nerve and tendon pain as a result from the injury. That being said, my footwear is so important going forward. I've got some great tennis shoes but I needed some thing for summer. Enter Birkenstock. You know how you can drive by a store but never know it's there? Such is the case with this store. It's in a little shopping center with just about three or four shops. I went Saturday morning with my daughter and there were customers waiting even before the store opened. The owner was so nice and so helpful, I love to see and support a BIPOC woman owned small local biz! She was helping multiple customers at once, & getting everything handled seamlessly. I am truly impressed! She was so efficient and thorough. I bought a pair of vegan Birkenstock, and my daughter got a pair of the Boston style. There are also a couple of other supportive shoe brands they carry. And anything she doesn't have in stock she said she would gladly order for us. I'll definitely be back to purchase other shoes from here. I highly recommend this store :-) read more

The proprietor answered the phone, researched my request and found exactly what I needed. I did a in store pick up so I could ck the purchase. Everything was perfect. Beautiful store, lovely display and inventory. Owner was a pleasure to do business with. Would highly recommend. Im sorry I don't recall her name. Just had the best experience at this Birkenstock location! I came in after a long bike ride (SF to LA, over 7 days - on day 6) in need of a comfortable shoe (and fast) as my current ones were not cutting it. The team member working (also the owner) was so sweet and helped me get exactly what I needed! She could have tried to sell me the $160 pair, which I thought would work; however, she thought (for what I needed), the simple $50 one would work - and do they ever! I appreciate YOU! Please support this local store! read more

Birkenstock - Pardon the dirty ...but my new - Shoe Stores Near Me - Ventura, California

I walked into Birkenstock Footprints while on vacation in Ventura, looking to kill some time while my friend was shopping next door. I had no plan to purchase shoes. Now I'm planning to return for another pair! JoAnne was amazing! She was so helpful, very personable, and guided me to an awesome pair of shoes. This was my first introduction to Birkenstocks and now I'm hooked. Everything about my time in the store was straight up a 5! The shoes are great, the store is great, JoAnne is the best. I'm definitely coming back soon! read more

The owner is amazing! She has the best selection of Birkenstocks that I have ever seen, and on the off chance that she doesn't have the pair you're looking for, she will gladly order them for you. I always enjoy talking to her when I'm looking for my next pair of Birkenstocks or when I have questions about caring for my current ones. If you are even the slightest bit interested in getting a pair of Birkenstocks, you should definitely stop by and try a few pairs on for yourself. The owner will gladly help you find your perfect style and size. read more

The owner, Joanne, was beyond helpful. She made sure the size and fit was perfect. She was very knowledgeable. She has a fantastic personality. The store was very busy. All the customers were patient and friendly. No one was trying to cut in line. This experience was perfect. I purchased 2 pair. I will be back. Thank you Joanne for everything. read more

I love going to this store. The owner is very helpful and the selection is great. Also, the location is excellent

This quirky little shop is perfectly Ventura. It's open sometimes, and not at others, at the whim of the nice woman who owns it. The selection is good and she is super knowledgeable and helpful. It's in a cute little pedestrian corner near the multi-level parking and just about a block from the pier. Sure, the prices might be a wee bit higher than on Amazon, but you get to try the different styles on and if you check in on Yelp you get $10 off, which brings the price to the Amazon price. So buy local and make your feet and wallet happy:) read more

Birkenstock - Lots of choices! - Shoe Stores Near Me - Ventura, California

I just purchased a pair of Arizona Soft-bed Birkenstocks from the Birkenstock Footprints Store in Ventura, CA. The owner was so helpful and a delight to talk to. I will certainly return to this store on my next visit to Ventura. read more

By far the largest selection of Birkenstock sandals I have seen anywhere in SoCal. The selection is vast - almost any color, size, and footbed combination that you may want is available. The lady operating the store is very friendly and helpful. Not sure what size you need? She'll let you try on multiples and will provide feedback and advise. Not sure what footbed you want? Try on both and walk around the store. Don't forget to check-in via Yelp for a check-in offer. Will be back in the future for more Birkenstock purchases! read more

Totally just got hooked up! She lists that she's not always on time, but she gave me the Yelp discount that's offered since I had waited a few minutes for her. This was a really quick and easy purchase. The owner gave me the best advice on the shoes, and found my perfect fit and helped make sure the straps were the right size for my skinny feet! Really thoughtful and I would encourage everyone to support this local business before going elsewhere! Really great experience. Thanks! read more

I rarely give yelp reviews, but such a positive retail experience is even more rare so I had to. In a nutshell: Found exactly what I was looking for, at a price that was better than I expected, from a shop owner that was a joy to do business with. She had a pair of Birkenstock Londons that I couldn't find anywhere on the web with less than a one month estimated delivery time. Had she not had it in stock, I would have ordered from her anyway because of her positive and warm attitude. Plus I'm trying to buy local. From now on Footprints will get my Birkenstock business:) read more

We're incredibly fortunate to have this store in Ventura. Birkenstocks are one of those things that you really need to try on before buying, especially if you've never worn them before, due to European sizing and their unique fit. Joanne is extremely patient and knowledgeable about Birkenstocks, and will help you find exactly the style and size that works best for you and your feet. She will also special order for you if she doesn't have the right size or style in stock. She did exactly that for me just last week when I needed the soft footbed London model in my size. A word about pricing--I've seen some reviews that mention you'll pay more than on Amazon. Well, Birkenstock USA recently cut ties with Amazon due to repeated problems with counterfeit product being shipped to consumers, so you may not get what you're expecting if you order from Amazon. You can order directly from Birkenstock online, but you'll pay for shipping and returns, and you can't try them on before you order. And whether you buy from Joanne, Zappos, or Birkenstock, you'll be paying about the same price. So why not support a local business that has been offering outstanding service for many years? read more

A great selection of Birks and a kind and personable shop owner. Service you just can't get online

Husband and I bought a pair of birkenstocks, very happy with purchase. JoAnne was a tremendous help, will be going back. read more

As other reviewers wrote, the owner is very helpful. I was having a hard time choosing a style and color and she provided straightforward feedback to help me pick the pair for me. I've ordered birks online, which always resulted in an imperfect fit or look and many returns. From this experience, I can see why-- different pairs have different insoles and some run wider than others. Thank goodness I had an efficient consultant. I will certainly be back again, especially since the store is also an authorized birk repair store if you ever need your insole replaced. read more

Quaint local business in DT Ventura. The owner answered all my questions regarding sizing and was very knowledgeable about the product. The owner is very helpful in fitting shoes. When Birkenstock came out with soles that were softer and wore out faster, she came up with a service in conjunction with a shoe repairman that she was acquainted with. When the soles wear out (but not completely as she could explain), she will send them to the repairman for $15 and they come back as good as new! Amazingly good service. read more

Just got my first pair of Birkenstock's and if you are looking I highly recommend you check out this store. Not only is it nice to be able to support a local business that has been in Ventura for over 40 years but the owner is super knowledgeable and quickly helped me find the right size/fit. OMG!!!! I left a few hours ago with my first pair of Birkenstock shoes. My feet are still saying "hallelujah!!!" Someone referred me to this store 3 years ago and I wish I had come back then. I began having worse foot pain on the bottoms of my feet and then piecing pain on my top left/side of my foot. Tests confirmed it wasn't diabetes so I decided to just try a pair of Birkenstocks despite not liking the look of them. I arrived 15 minutes before the store closed and the owner (JoAnne) was so patient with me. She recommended a pair of shoes that INSTANTLY brought relief to my feet! I left with 3 pair and am waiting for another pair. This is my go to store from now on! read more

I did not go in the store but called because I was looking for a certain style/size for a gift. They were extremely helpful.
