So we went on 12/16 yes it was a last minute stop and it was almost closing time but we knew exactly what we were getting I asked a white tall green eyed thin guy he was for sure about 5'5 for a Vans shoe size he rudely said " What I have for Vans is all outside I don't have anything in the back " Then another gentleman named Bobby came out I asked him for the same show I had asked the other gentleman for he kindly went to the back to check and came out with options for me to get since they didn't have the size I was asking for the only person that would receive a 5 star review from me would be Bobby for making an effort to help me even tho it was almost closing time at any store that I have walked in and is almost closing time they just give me a heads up " Hi we will be closing in about 5 minutes " instead of refusing to go check for a shoe size so as I had stated the only reason I'm leaving a review is because Bobby did a good job other then that I'd probably leave a 1 star review and not recommend anyone to stop by this store read more

Went here on 3/28 and received the best customer service ever from Luis. My son is 11 and is very particular about his shoes. Without boring you with all the details Luis made this whole process just seamless. From calling other stores to making sure his shoes fit properly etc. etc. etc. He definitely went above and beyond to the point that we felt we had our own person shopper. We actually went back in there on 3/29 and Luis wasn't there. Surely we were disappointed but I did want to give a shout out to Ivan I think his name was, he was very very helpful. All in all the customer service here is great! Workers are actually friendly! What a concept in todays day in age. The cashier was even smiling and just very very friendly. YaY! -10 I went in today to exchange a gift from the Xmas I did t have a receipt shoes were not worn at all. I get to the store all three girls working just at the register talking no hello welcome no how can I help you. Was looking at the shoes for awhile no one came to assist until I had to yell and say excuse me & when you ask for help they seem annoyed at the fact they have to work. Got the shoes went to the register to do the exchange they didn't want to help me bc I dint have the receipt bc it was a gift the original price of the shoes were $85 and online they are $85 but in store the are $58. And the shoes I wanted were $90 I ended paying the rest no problem but the fact they didn't bother to help with a solution or offer me any help & their lack of customer service bothered me so much I returned and ask for the manager # & the girl who attended me was the assistant manager........... corporate needs to come in and retrain! read more

Shoe Palace Ventura has been a very good staple to the Local sneaker culture in Ventura County. I have been shopping at this store since it's arrival 2 years ago. Customer service can be a little pushy at times, but they are respectful and courteous at all times. Stock is always on par and very reliable in size selection. Horrible experience! Customer service pushy and miss represented the price of the shoe. When went to pay they cashier would not honor the price quoted and said, he could not make a price adjustment because their corporate offices do not allow them to make price adjustments. Weird!! I told him it was against the law to miss mark and miss represent merchandise to make a sale. Manager said, "unfortunately I can't do anything about it." Awful service. Very expensive and poor stock in children's shoes. Also will not make any returns or refunds.!!! We will never shop their again and recommend that you don't either if you want a pleasant shopping experience. read more

I had made the rounds at all the stores at the mall trying to get something other than the boring character shoes I always get my little girls. After about 3 hours of searching and having picked up the same old shoes we always get I decided to stop in at Shoe Palace just out of curiosity. It was the best decision!! Instantly I knew this was not going to be the same boring old shoe shopping experience. It was high energy, music playing, and the sales people were so eager to help. My daughter and I were kind of lost so the BEST sales person ever came over named Albert and saved the day. We didn't quite know what we were looking for but my daughter's request was something super cool and colorful and he said "don't worry I've got you" and boy did he ever. He brought over several pairs of shoes each one even better than the last and my daughter LOVED them!! He made her feel special and happy and knew exactly what she wanted. He found her the perfect shoes. When it was time for me to check out I commented that I wish I had brought my other daughter in and he said bring her in. At this point it was now 8:38 and when I said it was late for them he said "no way bring her in and I'll find her some shoes too." I bring my next one and he's bringing shoes like I requested but what I was picking wasn't right so he asks her what she wanted and she says something crazy and again he knows exactly what she wants. It's like he knew them. He brings out some neon yellow cheetah print Vans and she actually squealed with happiness. They were perfect. I paid and at this point I am one happy lady and again just commented that my third missed out and Albert being the amazing person he is says "No way bring her in" at 8:47 pm!! He wasn't concerned that it was almost closing time, he never made us feel bad and neither did any other salespeople. They were all smiles and super kind. Again something wasn't quite right and then he brings her the perfect shoes. Turns out she's a Nike girl and she loved her bright hot pink shoes. He knew exactly what they liked and from very little info because what I thought they wanted was wrong. Albert is an awesome guy and if you go, ask for him specifically. Although from what I saw everyone there was so willing to help and very attentive. They are all about the customer and go above and beyond the normal to make you happy. That store is lucky to have such fantastic people working for them making them look great. By the way the music playing in the store was great and like they say if the music' is too loud then you're too old. My kids were dancing and had a great time :) read more

I have a complaint regarding your Ventura, Ca location. In December 2013 my 15 year old son purchased some shoes from this location and found they were indeed going to be to small for him as I told him his foot will still be growing. So therefore we returned them a few days later. He purchased them with cash so we expected to get our money back. The store manager said we could not receive our money back in cash and that we would only be given store credit only. I'm not sure why this would happen? I never heard of such a policy that a shoe was never worn and returned in a timely matter ( 2 days after purchase ) with cash I would think a full refund would have been done. Since then we have been back two times to see if there is anything in his size, Nothing! So therefore I went into today 2-16-2014 to see if i could buy something this time with store credit and finally after an hour with trying to make a decision while listening to extremely loud music and trying to get my size right. I made my decision to purchase the shoes and asked for the left shoe to try on. I wanted to be sure they both fit correctly before I made my final purchase. The sales woman said she would be right back with the left shoe so i could try them both on. After waiting for 10 min she returned and giggled that they couldn't find the left shoe and she would try to look for it. She never notified the manager , in fact at this point i put on my shoes and waited up at the the cash register. The store manager asked me what I needed and I explained the situation and he said we will look Thu the store and check the display and front windows because in the computer it said that they did have a size 9 at the store... 15 min went by and nothing, finally he said probably someone stole that left missing shoe or that it was truly missing. He never offered to order this shoe for me or try to get this one shipped to the store or call me if they would find it. Your manager at this store didn't seem to care at this point or be of any help to this situation. I left there very disappointed. read more

I happened upon this store while shopping for new running/walking shoes one day. They had quite a variety and I decided on two different styles of Nike shoes. Trying both on at the store they seemed to fit just fine. After wearing one of the styles for a couple hours, I found they hurt my feet and took them off intending on returning them. I was out of town for quite a while and was unable to return the shoes for about 45 days. All I wanted was to exchange them for a different style shoe that I knew did not hurt my feet. I was told I needed the original box and they could not be returned anyway because I wore them! The sole of the shoe was very slightly soiled which could easily been cleaned up and sold as new. The clerk was not willing to discuss options but just insisted there was NO way I would be able to return or exchange them at all! These shoes were expensive and I am now just out that money! I can't wear them! I will NEVER shop at this store or any of there stores again! read more
