    I've been in several time - we are part of a running group that Josh and this store help support. I love this store! Great location and easy to get too. Selection is always good even in wider shoes which I need. There is a lot of attention and they are very careful with making sure you get the right shoes. The place is super clean as well. I encourage you to look at things like compression gear especially if you have any plantar fasciitis issue - the OS1st line is great and has helped me a lot. We are very fortunate to have such a great store here locally! PS I left with a great pair of ASICS and also a pair of Altra that are as comfortable as slippers. Awesome!

    Thank you "Mile 26" for being Great! Thanks Josh for the incredible service in getting me the specialty racing and training shoes I want and need. It's great to have this level of service and always great when a running shoe store has 'actual runners' working, folks who know their stuff, run in the shoes they sell, and give good advice. I also like the fact that no one there tries to sell me anything I don't need or want. I cannot say enough good things about Mile 26.     My feet have been hurting for a week and I found Mile 26 online only because I was looking for a store that could match my feet with the right shoes. Mile 26 had a foot analysis machine on their website so we went to check it out. Instead, the owner checked how I walked and pulled out several different options. After trying on different styles and brands, she matched my foot with the exact shoe. Amazing difference!!! I highly recommend Mile 26, even if you don't run, but if you do, this is your new go-to store!! Thank you for all of your help!!!!

    (Covid19 season) Josh hand delivered my On Running shoes to my door (free) and even threw in a free pair of running socks. He texted and called when he dropped them off. With this service and kindness, Mile 26 has gained a loyal customer! Thanks Josh, see you for my next pair!

    A solid 4 star experience while shopping for shoes...who would have known?…read more I had been looking around for shoes for work...I needed very unique specifications. They had to be black and look kinda nice but I wanted them to be comfortable and almost like a tennis shoe. Something dressy enough to go with a shirt and tie but comfortable enough to be on my feet for 8 hours. I ended up at the Pacific View Mall in Ventura like I usually do while looking for things like shoes. I tried a few of the other local stores and stopped by here at Champs Sports. I was immediately greeted by an employee of the store as I walked through the doors and asked if she could help me find anything. I explained the specifics of the shoes I wanted but that I more than likely wanted Nike Shox. She laughed a little and said "yeah everyone wants those at first". She asked me what I was going to be using them for...when I explained that I walked a whole lot at my job and needed shoes that were comfortable but good looking as well. She went to the back and brought out my shoes that I wanted (the Nikes Shox) but also brought out a couple other boxes. I immediately thought jeeze here we go...she's gonna try and sell me some other more expensive crap. Oh how I was wrong. She sat there for like 20 minutes having me try on different shoes...she explained why she thought that the Nike Shox might not be the best shoes for my application and actually recommended some less expensive shoes. She knew SO MUCH about shoes...it was really amazing. The only problem was the fact that the shoes she sold me on and were the most comfortable did not come in the complete solid black like I needed. She did sell me some insoles because she explained that my feet had a high arch and that I needed more support than usual. I think I spent 20 bucks on them and after wearing them for a day I regretted buying them...they just made my feet hurt. I guess next time I just need to stay away from buying random insoles for my shoes. I ultimately ended up not getting any shoes this day...but the experience I had here more than likely saved me from spending 150 bucks on shoes and regretting it later. This will be the place I go to when I do buy my next pair of shoes. :0)

I came in to exchange a pair of FootJoy golf shoes I bought here one week ago. I didn't have my receipt on me, so the associate scanned the shoes to look up the "lowest selling price." Their system came back with $19 for shoes I paid $110 for days earlier. When I asked how that number made any sense, no one could explain it. No price history, no verification, no transparency just "that's what the system says." I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable, just a fair exchange based on the actual purchase price. The part that pushed me to write this review was the manager's response. Instead of helping or even acknowledging the issue, he told me that leaving a review "wouldn't make a difference." That's not just dismissive, it's unprofessional. He said he wouldn't even consider making an exception because I had dropped the F-Bomb in reference to their insane store policy and ridiculous lowball valuation. He also demanded that I apologize to the associate for using the F word. For the record, I found my receipt and will be returning the shoes properly. But the principle matters. If their system is generating inaccurate "lowest selling prices," that affects more than just me. I'll be filing formal complaints with the appropriate agencies so this doesn't get brushed aside. I'm sharing this so other customers know what to expect if they try to make an even exchange without a receipt. A $110 purchase shouldn't magically turn into $19 because a system says so and a manager shouldn't act like customer feedback is meaningless.

    This flagship Patagonia store, which is located next-door to their corporate headquarters slightly…read moreto the northwest, is done so well and really exudes the same Patagonia style that you see in their products. To give some context you will see Great Pacific Iron Works written across the top of the store, which was Patagonia's first store, opened in 1973 in the former Hobson meat-packing plant, near Chouinard's blacksmith shop, which is another product line and name you'll see often in their clothing. This part of Ventura is extremely sleepy so it's very easy to find a free street spot and there is also some EV charging available as well. The staff here is very friendly and always very attentive so it's one of the best parts about visiting. There are many different rooms inside divided by product type and there is even a tiny little museum area with all sorts of pictures and facts about the former building and Ventura. One of my favorite things about coming here is they tend to have some Ventura specific, or limited run products that you won't see in some of their larger bigger city stores. So you can really find some stuff that would otherwise be hard to find online or out of state. I try to stop here every time I pass through Ventura and would recommend to anyone else to do the same. They have products for men, women, and children, so there really is something for everyone.

From the start, she was rude, combative, sarcastic, and unnecessarily aggressive throughout the entire process. Instead of simply helping resolve the issue professionally, I was met with attitude, condescending remarks, and an overall hostile demeanor that made the experience far more difficult than it needed to be. As a customer, I expect basic courtesy and professionalism -- especially from a company that prides itself on customer service and brand values. The exchange itself was straightforward, yet Maddie handled it in a way that felt confrontational and unwelcoming from beginning to end. It honestly left a terrible impression of the store and the company overall. After being a customer for nearly 30 years and a brand ambassador for this company, I truly never expected to be treated this way. If this is the type of people Patagonia chooses to employ to represent their brand, I do not believe I will be moving forward with purchasing their products in the future. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience absolutely warranted one.
