This place is super tidy and clean. It's a transformative atmosphere when you walk in. The country decor and music take over and you're instantly in the good ol' country. They have very high end products and all very organized. There were lots of workers roaming around the store tidying everything, talking on their walking talkies and CONSTANTLY checking in with customers. Surprisingly, I had a fantastic experience in this store. Not saying that because of the bad reviews this place got, but because I'm new to Western attire. I was gifted a cowboy hat from here and I wanted to accessorize it with something else, but also shop for new Western shirts and belt buckles. I was greeted by Aurelio who fixed my hat, actually. I was so happy, since my hat looked crooked and broken. He made it look new again. Nichole was amazing! She helped me get another hat. I went in thinking I should get another Cody James hat, but instead, I bought a brown Silverado hat which I love. I will be going back to get another Silverado hat, and maybe a belt buckle. The value and quality of their hats are amazing. I've played baseball and rode [mechanical] bulls while wearing them. I've fallen, but the hats have not torn or been damaged. The monetary value of them isn't affordable, like you would be buying something on Amazon, but take note that great quality products aren't going to come cheap like $20 or $30 per hat. Pretty Simple. Customer Service is key in Retail. When you decided to dismiss loyal customers for whatever reason. This is unacceptable and I will take my business else where even if it means driving to another location. This was the case when I placed an order for a boot that wasn't in stock at my local Boot Barn. The staff ordered the shoes. Manually as the electronic system was inoperable. When the boots came in the evening manager was completely disengaged with the sale. Like she couldn't be bothered. First stating that there were no orders that had arrived. Then when I told her the staff had texted and called me. She got frustrated and called to the back room. The shoes were brought up and then she was to see my ID. She then placed the package on the counter and walked away. Didn't check to see if it was the right shoe, size or color or even to open the package up. I did and verified and then had to ask for a receipt as it was a gift for the Holidays. The cashier that was at checkout noticed the attitude and apologized. Typically I wouldn't trip. Everyone has a bad day. But if you're the manager or lead associate. Act like it. What kind of example are you showing your Jr staff? Especially during the Holidays Your busiest time. I'm have to drive far outside of LA to shop at a boot store. I last visited this store + - 1 year prior. This is one of those stores where the helicopter customer service style is on the borderline of we-KNOW-you're-a-shoplifter-type-oppressive. I LEGIT love and wear boots, so I can deal with the hovering. I haven't found anything I "have to have," but I keep trying. This visit was my last. They wouldn't allow customer use of the restroom. "Customers cannot use the restroom."....,,,So, Absolutely zero wrong with the restroom. Just not allowed to use it. I recognize COVID has impacted businesses across the board. Operational adjustments are necessary and there are less employees in the workforce. Maaaaaaybe the business doesn't have the staff to increase the frequency of restroom cleaning. Maaaaaybe there's another reason management decided to prohibit customer access to the restrooms. Fact is, I'll never know. What I DO know is I saw an employee access and use the restroom while I was in the store. Since it doesn't appear management thought this situation all the way through, allow me to describe the impression that was left on me,.....The Customer. You are willing to tolerate my presence in an area that might be a financial benefit to you, but that's it! IE...Come on in and spend your money, but don't expect anything else! You're free to touch a million pieces of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, but we draw the line on touching those restroom fixtures! I've seen businesses post signs with messages that convey their thanks to returning customers, but X Y or Z ID not available right now, or we had to adjust X Y or Z , and we hope you understand. I imagine businesses post those messages because they want to convey their investment in their customers' experiences, even during difficult times. That WAS NOT the message I received here. Purchased a suspender that apparently had a weak metal fastener. They would not replace, even though it was apparent from the failure that it was a manufacturing defect. It's not a good way to treat someone who has spent hundreds of dollars at this store. They have a 2 year rule. Who keeps receipts over a month. So the manager from xed the email address and gave me the 10% off. $4.00 more than the sale price. Big deal. So she said if the email comes in I could use it to buy the extra things I needed. I do a lot of my clothing shopping at Boot Barn because of the availability of their tall sizes. I have been into probably seven different locations throughout the United States and this one has to be the worst one that I've been in. There is absolutely zero customer service. The girls all seemed like they would rather gossip and talk about their boyfriends or what they ate for lunch that day then help a customer. At all of the other locations I've been into as soon as I walked in someone would ask me if I needed help and would always point me in the right direction. I've been in to this location a couple times now and each time I never even got a greeting when I walked in the door. I have also had to ask questions about availability of sizes or locations of items in their store and the girls seemed like I was being a nuisance to them because I was interrupting their "stand around and do nothing" time. Also another note about the store is how disorganized it is. Most retail clothing locations stack their jeans in order of sizes as well as have their shirts on the racks and order of sizes. I have had to sift through a bunch of different stacks of jeans and racks of shirts to find what I needed. And the same goes for their hat section as well. Just unorganized and different brands of hats stacked on top of different brands and not in the correct order of sizing. Maybe if they were not standing around so much they would be able to get their store under control. I decided since this location can't keep their crap together I would do some shopping on their website instead. This was my first time shopping on their website. Don't be fooled by their website shipping times however. All of the items I ordered were shown as in stock and "ships next day". I placed an order on Saturday and it is now Thursday of the following week and my items still have not shipped. I am definitely never returning to this brick and mortar location but I think I might be done with Boot Barn all together. read more

If I could put ZERO stars I would. I just moved here and was really excited that BootBarn is in my new neighborhood. That was until I visited the store. The store is filthy. There were numerous employees working and not one of them greeted me. My visit was on 8/29/24. I am disabled and walk with a cane. I attend Equine therapy weekly and was looking forward to purchasing a new pair of boots. I was ignored by the 5, maybe 6 employees that were on shift. Not one of them came over and offered help or asked me if I was looking for a particular type or brand of boot. It is very hard for me to get boots down and try them on without help. I have never had such a bad experience at any other BootBarn that I have gone to. The lady who I thought was the manager was extremely rude when I brought this to her attention. She suggested that I go back to my store since I felt so comfortable there. This was the most unwelcoming thing that someone could have said. I told her there is no need to be rude and her surrounding employees started to chime in and voice their unessary and rude options that were not asked for. I felt like the team had immaturely ganged up on me. The o KY person who was friendly to me the day I visited was the security guard. The store had dust all over the display clothes and light fixtures. When I did inquire about specific boots the teammemebers who helped me or shall I say lack of helped me didn't know anything about the boots they were selling except the price. I don't know if the people that are hired go through a training program but if they do not than they should. They should also be coached on how to approach someone with a disability. I will never return to this store again and will spread the world a about how horrible of a place this was. Maybe it was due to my skin color not being the same as theirs but they had no right to make me feel unwelcomed and like a problem for asking questions that they should he trained to answer. I don't think these teammembers understand the respect they should show an elder, especially a disabled one such as myself. Horrible, horrible experience. read more

They were ringing up one of their workers who was apparently off the clock, but yet she was arguing with a customer. I spent almost $500 a week ago and one of the associates (I believe her name was Laura) explained how the rewards worked; however, I was told I could redeem them the next day, which was wrong. I drove from Ojai the next day to find that out. I told the manager( I believe her name was Lauren) what had happened.
