    I bounce between the Simi & Oxnard locations. Love both, but Simi staff just amazing with service, friendliness, and product selections.

Today, I purchased a wagon and the young lady who helped me was amazing. She brought the item down, answered my questions, and even offered to carry it for me. She was incredibly kind and deserves recognition for her outstanding customer service. One thing I noticed was that while I was carrying the wagon through the store, the only employees who offered help were female team members. I passed two younger male employees who didn't check in, even though I was clearly struggling a bit. I wasn't expecting anyone to carry it for me, but a simple offer to help would have been appreciated. I also want to recognize the older gentleman outside who checked on me while I was loading my car and made sure I was okay. Overall, this is still a great store. My only suggestion is to encourage all employees to check on customers carrying heavy items. Maybe because I wasn't older or looked like I struggled but it was heavy and seeing me struggle a bit - A small gesture can make a big difference.

I came in to exchange a pair of FootJoy golf shoes I bought here one week ago. I didn't have my receipt on me, so the associate scanned the shoes to look up the "lowest selling price." Their system came back with $19 for shoes I paid $110 for days earlier. When I asked how that number made any sense, no one could explain it. No price history, no verification, no transparency just "that's what the system says." I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable, just a fair exchange based on the actual purchase price. The part that pushed me to write this review was the manager's response. Instead of helping or even acknowledging the issue, he told me that leaving a review "wouldn't make a difference." That's not just dismissive, it's unprofessional. He said he wouldn't even consider making an exception because I had dropped the F-Bomb in reference to their insane store policy and ridiculous lowball valuation. He also demanded that I apologize to the associate for using the F word. For the record, I found my receipt and will be returning the shoes properly. But the principle matters. If their system is generating inaccurate "lowest selling prices," that affects more than just me. I'll be filing formal complaints with the appropriate agencies so this doesn't get brushed aside. I'm sharing this so other customers know what to expect if they try to make an even exchange without a receipt. A $110 purchase shouldn't magically turn into $19 because a system says so and a manager shouldn't act like customer feedback is meaningless.

    This flagship Patagonia store, which is located next-door to their corporate headquarters slightly…read moreto the northwest, is done so well and really exudes the same Patagonia style that you see in their products. To give some context you will see Great Pacific Iron Works written across the top of the store, which was Patagonia's first store, opened in 1973 in the former Hobson meat-packing plant, near Chouinard's blacksmith shop, which is another product line and name you'll see often in their clothing. This part of Ventura is extremely sleepy so it's very easy to find a free street spot and there is also some EV charging available as well. The staff here is very friendly and always very attentive so it's one of the best parts about visiting. There are many different rooms inside divided by product type and there is even a tiny little museum area with all sorts of pictures and facts about the former building and Ventura. One of my favorite things about coming here is they tend to have some Ventura specific, or limited run products that you won't see in some of their larger bigger city stores. So you can really find some stuff that would otherwise be hard to find online or out of state. I try to stop here every time I pass through Ventura and would recommend to anyone else to do the same. They have products for men, women, and children, so there really is something for everyone.

From the start, she was rude, combative, sarcastic, and unnecessarily aggressive throughout the entire process. Instead of simply helping resolve the issue professionally, I was met with attitude, condescending remarks, and an overall hostile demeanor that made the experience far more difficult than it needed to be. As a customer, I expect basic courtesy and professionalism -- especially from a company that prides itself on customer service and brand values. The exchange itself was straightforward, yet Maddie handled it in a way that felt confrontational and unwelcoming from beginning to end. It honestly left a terrible impression of the store and the company overall. After being a customer for nearly 30 years and a brand ambassador for this company, I truly never expected to be treated this way. If this is the type of people Patagonia chooses to employ to represent their brand, I do not believe I will be moving forward with purchasing their products in the future. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience absolutely warranted one.

    This company as a whole has the worst management. The treatment the employees are given by their…read moremanagers, to include their HR is awful. Time off is denied for employees but for managers, that's always approved. I will not support an establishment who treats their employees less than. I have gone in multiple times and every single time one of the young ladies (Sol, Cece, or Mariah) at the register help me, they always seem to be sick. Are they allowed sick hours? Sol was completely under the weather, she had mentioned to her coworker she was going to call off work but was denied. How is that possible?? Mariah, Cece and Sol can be coughing, sneezing, congested even and are at the front ringing people out and greeting them. I feel terrible for them! Lack of manners. Lin and Mariah C have probably the worst customer service to ever exist! Lin always gives me attitude for not having my Port Supply card ready for when I get to the front, I don't know if she notices, clearly I am busy shopping for what I need! I can't always have everything ready. She always tries to force customers to join memberships even when they repeatedly tell her no. In my opinion, very disrespectful. Mariah C (store manager) probably one of the WORST store managers I've ever seen. Lets start with her having sick workers working! She has a very poor attitude, very mean, does not answer to what the workers are asking/saying to her. She needs to be evaluated ASAP. I feel so bad for the young workers who have to work under that poor management. I would never treat ANY of my employees the way she does, EVER! Low stock/inventory. They are missing a lot of inventory and don't know if its because its winter, but I cannot find what I need for my boats! I hope people don't give them a hard time, but I bet they do because of how low their stock is. I used to love coming here but sadly that might have to change soon, l would rate this a 0 if I could, unbelievable.
