Got shoes that were three sizes too small for my last rental. There were no stores around me that had my size. So for a whole wedding I had to cram my feet into size 11s when I requested size 14s, thus resulting in issues with my feet for the coming weeks. Called for some phone assistance as a first time tux purchaser instead of renting this time seeking some assistance. Gave the gentleman my reservation number as he proceeded to tell me I can't purchase a set from the rental set (a Vera Wang set) that he stated "rentals are different than purchases, you'd look completely different to the groomsman. Can't help you." Didn't even look up reservation number or ask what jacket and pants to see if their store even had for purchasing. I called the Thousand Oaks one and spoke to a gentleman who immediately hurried to get his iPad, asked my reservation number, assisted me with the cost breakdown, how to ask and reserve when I come in and when to even come in by. Went in looking for a suit with my boyfriend. The two workers ( a guy with glasses and redhead lady) greeted us, which made us think we would find what we needed here. They did not offer to help us and stayed seated while we roamed around the store. When we went up to them to ask if they carried a particular color, they looked at us with disgust, said no, asked us what the suit was for, and did absolutely nothing to help us afterwards. My boyfriend and I found a blazer not too long after that was the color we wanted. It seemed too long as a regular so we tried on a short. Not too long later, without even looking at us, the guy came up saying my boyfriend definitely didn't need a short. He was very rude the whole time, and was very condescending. The lady was even worse, as we seemed to be a burden for even stepping into the store. Terrible experience, I highly don't recommend going here. Once i got measured i placed my suit rental in the system for a out of state pick up. When i picked up my suit and tried everything on, the original measurements were wrong as my shirt was too tight. Second time I've done a suit rental through Men's Wearhouse Oxnard. I'm not sure how they are measuring but my shirt and jacket combo was been completely off both times. First time, the shoulders were way to wide and the sleeves too short. This second time I was given a shirt with sleeves 3-4" too short, where as my jacket sleeves were 3-4" too long. Completely ill fitting and embarrassing. $200+ per rental, what a waste of money. read more

I came in to buy 2 suits and probably a couple other things but got ZERO assistance from the 2 guys in the back at computers who obviously worked there. Poked around and tried a couple jackets on fo 5 or 10 minutes before getting frustrated and leaving. Most men's wearhouse locations have associates eager to help and I always buy more than I originally planned. I'll visit the T.O location tomorrow. I'm sure they'll help me there! read more

There were employees walking around and none of them offered to help size him or show him options. If you are bigger than a 48 in jacket I wouldn't recommend this place because they seem to not like bigger clients. Also be prepared at spend 200+ on a jacket here, and that is with subpar service. Unfortunately we weren't properly explained the package that was chosen for our wedding party didn't give the best options for kids. My sons jacket didn't fit well unfortunately for us we received our suits 2 days prior to the event so it was too late to reorder a new jacket . Sia and team went above and beyond to find a resolution and bought a jacket at a discounted rate, waived the tailor fee. I went in about a week before my sons prom to get his tuxedo fitting and order. We went in on a Wednesday and found it surprisingly slow. We were able to walk right up to an associate and start the process right away. He did the fitting and set my son up with some samples of those sizes to see if he was comfortable. He went in, tried em in, cane out, fit great, got dressed and came out..total of like 15 minutes. Next we had to pick out styles and colors and accents. They had a big chart so you could see the colors and accents and different styles, so it was pretty much point and shoot. I thought this was awesome. We sat down and did the paperwork at got a great student rate and the exact style my son wanted. They sent us an email about 4 days before the prom, that it was ready and to come in for a final fit. He did so, he loved the fit, exactly how he pictured it. $120 and came with everything we needed. He didn't have to return the tux until the following Monday, after prom weekend, which was cool cuz who wants to have to rush and hurry and return your tux the morning after prom. I was recently the Best Man in my cousin's wedding in Moorpark. I live in Florida and had my measurements done in in Florida and selected Oxnard, CA as my pickup location. Upon pickup, I noticed my sleeves were about six inches short on my arms so I had the representative make the necessary alterations. Everything else (pants, vest, undershirt, and shoes) fit perfectly! I ended up leaving everything behind so I could pick it up all at once. When I returned a few days later I grabbed the suit the young sales guys there told me to try it on and pulled the jacket out of the garment bag. I quickly tried on the suit and when I went to try on the shirt and vest (just in case) the reps told me not to worry, so I grabbed everything and left... Not thinking twice about anything. As the rest of the groomsman got ready for the wedding, I was the last to put on my suit before we left to the venue and I noticed stains EVERYWHERE! Unfortunately, it was already too late as we had to leave to the wedding by this time. I was a bit frustrated with Men's Warehouse not having any extra vests or extra coats that they could assist me with, as the groom had selected the most popular color for the groomsmen suits. I'm sorry, but there is a fine line between personable customer service and just being plain nosy. I went in to buy a suit and there is an older gentleman who works there who is a bit too inquisitive. He asks, "So where do you work? What do you do?" As I perused the store, I could hear him ask almost every customer the same line of questioning. I know it's a personality thing, and I generally don't like small talk. My point is that he needs to read the room. Sometimes people, like me, just want to shop. I don't want to answer personal questions. He needs to be trained on how to read the room. If a customer wants small talk, then let the customer begin the conversation. read more

I know a few things about suits but it was invalid and my preference were ignored pretty much. I have 2 choices, spend $400 or $500. No thank you, I will take my business somewhere else. Men's warehouse is a place where anyone could walk in and come out confident and not insulted. It's a place where Men could get a suit they feel comfortable and be proud of.... No matter what price range! This facility completely destroys the reputation of what Mens Warehouse promotes... I guarantee it. Btw, I got a nice suit from another local establishment. They're not advertised for mainstream but they have an amazing customer service. They don't have the flashy store but they have an amazing customer service. The WORST place to get a tux from, especially the Oxnard store. It's almost double the cost of other places AND longer turn around to get your tux. If you're lucky your tux won't be baggy the first time you get it. I mentioned that it was too baggy and they're response was, "That's how it's supposed to be, you're just used to those fitted clothes that people wear these days." The sales staff here are always very helpful and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. I just bought three shirts with the 3 for $99 deal and I'm really happy with the fit and the in-house tailoring. Two pro tips: 1) If the sales person is being overly helpful just let him or her know you need a few minutes solo to consider your purchase. They won't be offended and are happy to give you space if you need it. 2) Go into the store with some idea for what you want, tell the sales person, and he or she will pull a few looks together for you. I was surprised at what my guy pulled out but when I tried it on I was like "wow, this really works!" Also, be sure to enroll in the frequent buyer club. You get a $50 gift card for every $500 spent. On my last visit I had a $100 windfall and didn't even know it. Three free shirts for me! read more
