We had Valley Tree Care take care of our tree service today. Mario was very professional and took the time to walk us through the trees and get an understanding of what I needed. The crew showed up and started the work. They all were great, attitude, work ethic, and communication. The one thing that stood out compared to other services that I have used were Mario stayed and communicated back with me to see if each tree was completed the way I was asking for. They adjusted height, or size as they were working to bring it all together. everything came out exactly as we discussed and I thank Mario for the great communication and direction. I requested that a pepper tree be removed because it was overgrown and attracting bees. Luis came out and gave me a quote and I felt like it was more than fair and hired him on the spot. He came out with crew and was able to complete the job in one day. The tree was on a fence line and he had to remove part of two fences but put everything back the way it was. Was given an estimate for future job, informed when ready just text or call for service. Per Luis Jr. This was the 2nd time he did this to us. First time called him to scheduled to come. My husband and I waited all day never showed up or did not even call that there not coming after scheduling us . We didnt go or do anything that day just waited for them to come since they confirmed coming. We were worried, we called and left message even text him. Tilll we call the office. Luis Senior father of Luis Jr, was handling the office, he scheduled them to come to the house to do the job weeks after . Finally came. When he realized it was us and he given estimate price before was lower then what father estimate he didn't honor his lower estimate before. He was not a man of his word ,price double and did less work then what he promised to do. Forgave him and paid whatever he asked, for his men. Given me quote for another job,said same as before just call me or text when ready to do job quote good for 2-3 months. Been just 1 month ago, since his quote. So left him a text and a call no response for over a week now. Not even professional enough to say ,call to send a text to notify us not able to do job. Not going to call or get there service anymore. Not recommended there service, unless Luis Jr learn when he give a quote to any customers ready to do job and to keep his word. WOW super nice and helpful guys were busy working but took the time to talk with me and even came over to my house to see what I needed! Talked and met the next day with Luis (the son, father is Luis too) talked with both of them.....Amazing and helpful! I had HUGE trees! I explained what I needed and I was really pleased with their quote! They started the next day (that was incredible as usually you have to wait, but they were already working in my area so good for ME! They were organized, kept the area clean and did everything they said they would do....I believe there were about 6 men working on all the trees and equipment, so in 1 1/2 days I was all done.....and its so much safer and better than before! They were trimming the trees in the assortment complex that I live in, and while trimming trees they never asked to have any of the residents vehicles moved. They were trimming a tree right over the top of my truck, then They dropped a piece of eucalyptus on my hood of my truck and put a dent in it. I had 9 trees on my property, one a big Ash, whose roots were eating up my backyard. I called 4 tree companies for estimates, the only one that showed up was Luis from Valley TreeCare. He showed me his license, I thought his estimate was reasonable, he explained what they would do. His crew of 3 arrived about 9:am, they immediately started on the Ash, removed it all plus roots in yard, took the stump down 6" below ground level, as they did with the other two trees they removed. I hired Valley Tree Care to remove a palm tree and some grass. When they were done with the job, they knocked on the front door and demanded 300 more than the original quote. No problem, happy to pay. I wrote the check and then the next day when we went to cap the sprinklers, we discovered that they didn't remove all the roots. No problem, I messaged the company and they said they would come out and get it fixed. The next day (today) they came back. Instead of just apologizing and fixing it, the worker BLAMED ME FOR PAYING FOR THE JOB EVEN THOUGH IT WASN'T RIGHT. "If you didn't like the job, why did you pay?" "Well, I never skip a bill and I want to ensure team members get paid" He says "Don't worry about me, this is your fault for paying and not liking". What rude, little man with such a big ego. Bad experience- the owner is a liar and made many promises he did not keep. The guy who gave me the quote was to come to the job site as he knew what we needed. He didn't and the guy that did come had NO idea of what I needed done- I called the owner who FINALLY had the quote guy come back- but it was really too late - They also left oil stains on my driveway which we cleaned up- then one of the palm fronds snapped and the owner kept telling me he'd take care if it- he never did of course. Just goes to show that you get what you pay for/ yes, they were the lowest bid, but the anxiety I suffered from the idiot owner was not worth it!!! I called for a quote in the morning and Jonathan was out in a couple hours. He provided me a written quote and his cellphone number just in case I had any other questions. Out of the six quotes I got Valley Tree Care was priced the lowest. I had two large sized trees removed with the stumps ground, 6 medium size trees removed with the stumps ground, some old stumps ground, a (very long over due) palm tree trimmed, and concrete broken up and removed. We had a large tree removed and some overgrown bougainvillea cut back at our condo in Rancho Cucamonga. At first, we were amazed that the tree came down relatively easily in a tight space. Unfortunately, we didn't realize until after we paid and the crew had gone that we and our neighbors sustained damages to the building, the sprinkler line and the birch tree in front and many plants that were just ripped apart. Also, the gate they took off at the side and put back, would not close completely. They didn't tell us this so the dog got out and we had to anxiously look for him all around the complex. We also were missing a rake which was taken away with their tools. I called and they came and fixed the sprinkler line, the association fixed my neighbors roof. The tree service claim they know nothing about the rake. And of course the large branch they removed from the birch tree and the damaged plants cannot be restored. I learned later that they knew of the roof damage and talked to my neighbor instead of me. It wasn't until the day after, we discovered that the sprinkler line was exposed and visibly broken and had flooded the side and front yard. Over all this was not a good experience. I would not use this company again. read more
