We sure are glad we found German Tree Service. We had 17 very big and overgrown Ficus trees in a raised block planter down the side of the house we recently purchased, along with a huge pine tree in the front yard right over the water main. I called GTS to get a bid. German showed up an hour later, looked the job over and gave a very reasonable price. He explained the work that would be done, when they would start and how long it would take. He gave us the bid Saturday, he actually had his guy start on a couple of the smaller ficus' and the shrub in the front that morning. They came back Wednesday to start He had everything cut down and stump ground in 2 days. They seriously kicked A**! The block planter where the Ficus trees were was nicely leveled out. The big pine in the front gone and leveled out. He also trimmed the overgrown hedge in the front side yard and blew out the roof gutters. If I could give ZERO stars... German Tree Care was very unprofessional. I needed 2 huge trees trimmed, and I requested quotes through Yelp. German gave me the best price by far. We set up an appointment. I waited an hour after our set appointment. He didn't show up, and he didn't have the courtesy of calling to reschedule. He later texted that he was busy that day. I gave him the benefit of the doubt because of his "5 star" Yelp rating and rescheduled. The day of the second scheduled appointment, I texted and called to confirm because of the previous no-show, and I got no response. Highly unprofessional! Do NOT recommend them! I was concerned because the trees are huge and one huge oak tree hangs over the neighbors roof, another huge sycamore already had a dead branch fall and was dangling on other limbs. I contacted German on Thursday regarding removing a tree including its trunk and all of its roots. He came that same day to give me an estimate. He was my 3rd estimate and was in line with what I was thinking of paying. He came back Saturday with his team. He was on time, a little early in fact. They cut up the tree, stacking the firewood where I requested. They used a grinder to get rid of stump and big roots. They used a pick and ax to get rid of smaller roots. The area is all ready for me to plant a new tree (one with far less troublesome roots). They even validated that none of my sprinkler system was ruined before they left. They are all around nice guys. They even helped a neighbor unload a big tool chest from his truck. I recommend them and will use them in the future for my tree care. read more
