Ortega arrived on time, as promised, to give an estimate, and his men were punctual on the next day to flush cut 4 trees and trim one weeping tree. They finished quicker than I expected and cleaned up very well. The trees were on a hill/slope too, but it was no problem for them. 100% recommend and would definitely use their service again if needed. Ortega's price is very good compared to a few others I got, so that's why I chose him and his team.. and he we able to get the work done the next morning. Great communication via yelp messaging too. Hired them to get rid of 2 trees . The job was completed exceptionally fast. Wasn't the cleanest job but for the price, great value. They were professional, came on time, and completed the job. Recommended them to a few of my Army buddies as well. If your expecting luxury tree service, then I wouldn't go value shopping, but if you want value... then these guys are A1. We had Ortega out to trim 3 trees around the property that we hadn't had trimmed or taken care of really at all for at least 4 years. Needless to say there was a lot of work. They were in and out within 3 hours, cleaned up after themselves and the trees look great! Was also a very reasonable price for their work. Definitely recommend for tree service. read more

We called them yesterday just wanting to get an estimate after having multiple businesses no show on previous appointments and they came out within 30 minutes of the call to take a look and gave us an extremely reasonable quote. Came back today and got everything done in about 3 hours and we are super satisfied with their work. Definitely will be using them to maintain things moving forward and would recommend their business to others. read more

Hired this company to trim my severely overgrown tree and they did a fantastic job. Fast response and clear communication. Came to see the tree in person on Friday gave me a fair quote based on how much of a trim I was considering getting done. We agreed on a price and they showed up Tuesday morning and the job was completed in less than 3 hours. Even left us a nice stack of firewood. Very happy with the results. I would recommend them to anyone in need of a professional job done in a timely manner for a fair price! read more

Amazing service. I had requested a quote for 3 tree removal and he responded quickly and was very professional. Didn't push which I loved and was on time once I set the date. I originally set the date and due to circumstances I had to change it and he was understanding. He showed up on time and got the job done. Didn't even leave a mess and you can't tell wheee the trees were at once they left. I will definitely use them to cut a bush in front of my house soon! Thank you so much! read more

Job was for grass and leveling of dirt in backyard. It was a two-day job. Upon inspecting first day job, I noticed my cement on the side of my house was not only cracked in several places but was sunken by 1 inch. A utility vehicle was driven through side of home and used to bring in 20+ yards of dirt. (Cement damaged was about one truckload worth - quote to repair was $12,000) extremely more than this grass job. I was told by Pedro he would fix it, and apologized for damaging. Fast forward, I was then told it's my fault and even blamed my husband for possibly driving on it once he found out what the quote was for repairing. Then went off to say, my cement guy didn't do a good job with the cement, etc etc...(cement is poured for different purposes, mine was for walking on, not driving vehicles) When I told him I took pictures the night before he arrived I was then blamed on setting him up,... mind you, I just installed my cement two months ago and it looked amazing. In the end, I got stuck with having to repair my own cement. **For future reference Ortega Tree Service, ask permission to drive a utility truck onto an owner's property. I would highly recommend! Pedro and his team at Ortega Tree Service are hardworking and responsive. I called to request an estimate and they were able to come out the next day. My backyard needed both a new irrigation system and all new sod and I felt they had estimated a reasonable price. They were able to start the job the following week and were finished within 2 days. I had no issues. Everything looks and works great so far. I'm so happy my 1.5 year old now has a backyard he can run around and play in. This company is also honest. My invoice was exactly what Pedro had originally quoted me. There were no hidden fees. And his son offered to come back in a few weeks if we were having any issues with the irrigation timer or needing any adjustments. I value that as well. I will definitely be using Ortega Tree Service again for all my future landscaping needs and will be recommending them to my neighbors and community. read more

Fantastic work! Pedro and his team are above and beyond. They quoted a fair price to remove five existing stumps, were easy to schedule with, and did amazing work. They not only removed all the stumps initially quoted, but also removed an extra one at no charge. After all the stumps were removed they cleaned up all the plant material, filled in the holes, and smoothed out the area. I highly recommend their services! read more

I requested a last minute estimate and I was immediately accommodated and fit into their already existing busy schedule. Pedro and his son Efrian were able to do a quick drive on a Sunday to look at our property for an estimate. Our yard needed a lot of work and also wood chips to update the landscaping. They informed me they could be there the next day early morning and handle everything we needed (lawn work, weed removal and wood chips to cover large sections in the backyard). A whole crew came the next day and did a fantastic job. Our yard both front and back looked brand new. They gave us a fair price and were very responsive for my calls. I highly recommend this company for your yards needs. Very professional and their work is awesome. Big Thanks read more

Working on my lawn this Monday. I've had Mr. Ortega doing my yard for 3 weeks now. My property looks just as bad as it did before I hired him. I had used his services about a year ago. I loved the work they did so I called him back. Mistake, not only is he more expensive. He does so much less. I hired him to mow and weed my property once a week. First week he mowed front and back nothing else. Second week he did one flower bed weeding and mowed the front. Third week me mowed the back and trimmed a foot high hedge. He's bringing 2 teenagers with him. Neither one of them want to be doing lawns. I feel bad especially for the young girl. He needs to go back to using his adult guys for these jobs. Don't take the lawn care jobs if you're too busy with the tree service. read more

Great service and palm trees look good. Thank you. Been using for years and recommend.

Great Service. I called them on Saturday and they stopped by on Sunday to quote the work. I have a large hill in my backyard and needed the brush cleared out and some trees trimmed. They came by the next Wednesday and had it all done. The price was great too. I haven't had the landscaping done in a while so I was expecting to pay more. Totally recommend Ortega Tree Service read more

Came out and gave us an estimate, excellent communication, fair price, showed up on time and knew a lot about our trees. On the day of the job, showed up timely with his crew, worked extremely hard and did a beautiful job on the 15+ trees in all varieties, some quite large, complete removal in some cases, moved/transplanted other small trees. Cleaned up all of the cuttings, including what fell in the neighbor's back yard. Even trimmed a neighbors tree encroaching on our property (after getting permission). Couldn't be happier. Will do our rental property next, and considering a large irrigation project. read more

2nd time out to the house. the first was to trim my tree months ago, but I had them return to take out a tree and remove my lawn. The did a great job and these guys worked their tails off. I only wish a little more dirt was removed, but we can use the dirt in other places. Thank you! read more

We needed to quickly have a tree cut down and some other trees trimmed. Jonathan came out the next day after I called. Their price was reasonable, they started the work quickly, finished quickly and did not leave any trash behind. Another amazing thing about this work crew was how organized they were. Someone was picking up all the limbs, etc. while the items were being torn down. The tree they took down was taken down completely and the stump was ground up. You could not tell there was ever a tree there. I would highly recommend this great group of people - very professional, reasonably priced and did the job quickly. Thank you, gentlemen, for taking such good care of us. read more

Hubby and I were tired of our dirt lawn, and never ending, never surviving grass. We recently hired these guys to fix our backyard. Of course you get nervous paying someone for a service, but we were very happy with what they've done for our yard. They yanked out all the dead grass, weeds, and roots, and aerated the yard prior to putting in the freshly cut sod. The grass is so dark green, and lush. We got to mow the lawn for the first time this weekend, and we couldn't be happier. From our experience, I would highly recommend them, and use them again if we need to in the future. read more

Hired them to remove weeds, including roots, fixing all sprinklers on my backyard, and moved a couple trees on the front. Whey they scrapped the weeds than digging out roots, I brought this up. Pedro, the owner, went mad, and pretended he did not understand English well. They broke the valve's pipe without telling me. I had to pay them extra to fix it. After Pedro came to fix it. Nearby soil was still wet which indicates somewhere underneath is still leaking. Some sprinklers were simply capped than fixed. And again without telling me. One of the trees was moved to sit on top of water pipe, and they broke the pipe again without telling me. Water splashes out when sprinklers are turned on. I have to pay someone else to move the tree away and fix the leaking pipe. Terrible work done, and no response whatsoever. The owner, Pedro, is simply a mad man. He understood perfectly when at the beginning what needs to be done. He turned mad and pretended he didn't know the language when they got caught doing lousy jobs. Besides, he abused his guys for the whole day without giving them food that I supplied his guys with water and burger meals. Stay away from this madness business. read more

We moved into a new place in Corona. Being unfamiliar with the area, we looked at some reviews and found Ortega. We asked them to come out and get things in shape after the previous owners obviously had let maintenance go for months. It was a big job. They showed up on time, blasted through the work and left our landscaping looking fantastic. The price was right and we didn't have to wait a long time for them to schedule it. The experience was positive enough that we decided to have them do our regular maintenance moving forward. Highly recommended. read more
