Recently we acquired German's Tree Service to renovate our front yard. The yard was in dire need of some help. German's Tree Service has taken out trees, bushes, shrubs, gravel and a poorly done extension of our front porch. He came in with his crew (which by the way are as courteous and professional as they come). We had concrete work done, new sod put in and rock work done along the front curb. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!! Once again, "The German" came to the rescue and meant the challenge of the thorn ridden, rather large bougainvillea that was blown down by the recent winds. These people are completely unprofessional. Please don't waste your time. I contacted them via yelp for a quote to prune a mullberry tree. We agreed upon the price and date/time, but when I messaged them, they said they are busy so they will come on the next day. Ok sure. The next day came and nobody showed up, when I asked again they said they took a day off since it rained that day (note that it wasn't raining during our scheduled time). When I asked when do they want to reschedule (again!), they finally told me that they are too busy so won't be able to do the job!?! The whole time I was always the one who had to message them to find out that they bailed. Zero customer service and zero reliability. read more

Make sure you get the price in writing. German gave me a price to remove 2 trees in my backyard for 1400 and with the stumps remove it would be 100 more if he could fit his own machine into my house to get to the backyard. He then told me if he had to borrow or rent a smaller machine it would be 250 more. I'm ok with both of the prices. When German and his crew almost finish cutting the trees, I asked him if he was able to borrow a stump grinder or if he's brining his own. He told me the Stumps are too big and it would cost me 600 more to remove both. I mean he went out and look at my trees before I gave him the job. He should have just be straight forward with me from the beginning if he want to charge that much. Long story short, he went down to 500 but my family and I didn't like the way he do business so we told him no. He called back a week later asking if we would like the stumps remove and the price is 400. If he was honest about it from the beginning I would have paid 1800 for everything so I told him no. His crew damaged some of my neighbor plants as well. I didn't know about it until my neighbor told me a few day after. He asked if I could buy his crew some food, which I didn't mind and bought them lunch. I rather remove the stumps myself or hire another company then giving to job to German. read more

We recently got an estimate from German Tree Care for the removal of a palm tree, trimming many of our trees including an olive tree, a yucca and several other types of trees, grinding a large stump plus taking care of other tree issues. We also got an estimate to trim and remove many trees and bushes at my mother-in-laws home. The estimates that German gave us were reasonable and fair. We decided to have him and his workers do both jobs for us. The work they did was phenomenal. He did everything he said he would plus much more. He even got up on our roofs to sweep off the leaves, branches and whatever else was up there. They did a very professional job and left both of homes immaculate.
