If you value honest and upfront work please do not use these people to trim your trees. Problem number 1: My mother was referred these tree trimmers from another person by word of mouth. Upon receiving an estimate of $450 to trim her palm trees, she was up charged to $500 dollars upon completion of the job. There was no written estimate just an insinuated that she lied about the original verbal estimate. Problem number 2: She informed them that she was gonna consult with her husband and they could back the next and she would let them know her decision, but without any clearance to begin the labor, they just started instead. Problem number 3: When originally giving her an estimate they showed her pictures of similar jobs which included palm tree trimming and shaving, so naturally she assumed that was what was gonna be done because they did not state otherwise. Upon completion of the job she found the trees had not been shaved and if that was what she wanted there would be a massive up charge of over 4 times the original estimate. So to sum up our concerns with this business, they are not upfront about estimated costs, they failed to fully inform my mother about the job when she is not even remotely qualified to understand what they would be doing, the failed to get clearance from the home owner before beginning labor, and to top it all off the insinuated that my mother lied about a verbal estimate. read more

I was referred to Forest Tree Care by Joel & Sons Landscaping. My grandma needed a large oak tree to be trimmed as the electrical lines were started to weave into the branches. She also has a grapefruit tree that needed to be trimmed and shaped. In about 2.5 hours. They trimmed the oak large branches and new growth from last year, shaped the grapefruit tree, and cleaned up all of the debris. We were so happy on how organized they were and used safety measures to climb up into the tree and remove 1.5-2-foot diameter branches without hitting the house. We called Forest Tree Care on Saturday afternoon to get a quote on removing tree from our yard. This must've been the 6th or 7th business we called. Most we left messages with, others said they couldn't do it, and still others were ridiculously expensive. We didn't want the tree removed, but it had started to destroy our driveway and was moving toward our foundation, so it had to go. We explained all of this over the phone and sent a couple of pictures via text. We received a quote on the spot, it was the most affordable yet and they were available on Monday morning. They said they'd be here at 0800, and sure enough, they arrived right on time. They immediately went to work and the tree was gone, including the trunk, roots, everything in under 2.5 hours. Cleaned the entire area up and left it as good as new. I can't say I'm happy that the tree is gone, but I'm thrilled with the service that was provided. Do not hesitate to use this company. We had a number of plants around the perimeter none of which were harmed during the removal of the tree. During the windstorm of January 21/22, 2022 our home in Rancho Cucamonga was severely damaged to the point that an 80 foot tree snapped off and came crashing down onto our roof. A branch punctured through the tile roof projecting about six foot of the tree into our living room in the middle of the night. A second branch punctured the overhang above our front door and the top of the tree came to rest on the south side of the roof peak. The wind was so powerful that a number of the heavy tiles were blown off the roof with dozens more being dislocated and a heavy decorative wooden out looker was dislodged and fell to the ground narrowly missing one of our cars. My anemometer showed wind speeds of 97 MPH before being hit by something and knocked from its location mounted to the fireplace chimney never to be seen again. It took a crew a full day to push the dislodged roof tiles temporarily back into place. We contacted our insurance company, Mercury Insurance, who later told us that they had more than 1,000,000 claims from the windstorm, who's adjuster Dave Carroll referred us to Forest Tree Care. WHAT A FIND! Jaime from Forest came out and surveyed the damage and then said that they would be out the next day at 8:30. They arrived at 8:00 am with about a dozen guys, a crane, a bucket crane, a giant chipper that they were able to put the whole 18" diameter tree in and a stump grinder and by 10:00 am they had completed 90 percent of the work. Because they had other emergencies to take care of, they said that they would be back first of the week to get all the little stuff but showed up the next day and worked till about 5:00 pm to complete the rest of the work. As a former general building contractor, I was really impressed with their work and the quality of the equipment they brought with them. So far we are very impressed with Mercury and all of the people that they have referred to us as opposed to State Farm, our previous insurance company. They just finished a major trim of our 5-40 foot Cypress Trees, 3-40 foot palms, and a 60 foot long row of Cypress trees. Wow! Very thorough, artistically shaped, and they cleaned everything up so it looks like they weren't even here. All the crew were amiable and worked well as a team. Very professional.
