I have experienced both good and bad service issues at Valley Ford. The dealership has changed hands several times - with it comes a number of employees with 1-2 years experience (I realize that it pertains to this dealership only). Someof the service agents have been impatient if I asked detailed questions (as if I lacked brains/knowledge) about what they were diagnosing. Once I asked for the service manager to return a phone call to me that never happened. read more

Highly suggest not using Tony. Great communication to make the sell then worthless after The buying process with them went smoothly, but everything since then has been an absolute train wreck. They notified us that the windshield had a chip in it but they were willing to replace it the following week. We also asked them to put new batteries in the key fobs because the batteries were low at the time of purchase. It took 3 weeks and us calling day after day to just get an appointment for the windshield and once they had it took another 12 days to complete the simple one day job. We had to call up multiple times just to figure out the update on the vehicle. When picking the vehicle up the batteries were also still not changed. read more

I just had my Ford Bronco checked for a potential tire leak. The Valley Ford service advisor was Susan Adkins. Susan was the utmost professional advisor. Took all my information and within twenty minutes she advised me they found the tire leak and they repaired it quickly. I am very appreciative of their quick service to get me back on the road. read more

We had overall horrible experience with Valley Ford. From the test drive through the end. The truck was filthy when we test drove because it had only been in the shop, not washed or detailed. We decided to purchase that evening so they said they would wash and detail and we could pick it up the next day. We got there and they said it wasn't done so we talked to another associate for 30 min. We get the keys and it's not even remotely clean. They agreed they would buff out a scuff mark on the bumper anyway so they scheduled us to come back for that. We drop it off again. Pick it up. Nothing was done. No buffing, no wash, no detail. They said they were just looking at it. Scheduled us to bring it back yet again to have the actual buffing done. Then they would wash and detail. We take it back again. We pick it up and it honestly looked more dirty than it had been. No wash. No detail. All they did was buff the scuff out. We talked to a manager this time. They apologized and said they had been having issues with the guys in the shop. Jeff, our sales guy said he would talk to them. He called us later and said that they gave him crap and he ended up attempting to clean it himself but that he would make it right. They said please bring it back and allow us to make it right. We took it back one last time. Shockingly enough, still wasn't even remotely clean. The photos I attached to this were after the 4th time we had left if with them to wash and detail. It's still filthy. We talked to another associate because Jeff was gone for the day. He went to get the manager but the manager was too busy to come out. He said best they can offer is to send it out to be detailed or pay us the cost of getting it detailed. We said at this point we will just get it detailed in our own and said to please just give us the money. He said we will put a check in the mail in a few days. That was also a lie. We waited a week and got nothing. We called on a Wednesday and they said they put it in the mail on Monday and we should have it any day. We didn't get it for another 4 days and it was post marked for Thursday, the day after we called. Unreal honestly. We won't be doing business with them again. The whole thing was a headache. All we wanted as for our new truck to look new when we rolled it off the lot. Thats half the fun of getting a new vehicle. Is that too much to ask? We don't think so. read more

They then confirmed it was the wheel bearings and after paying a hefty bill I picked up my truck and still the grinding sound persisted. Well, they told my nephew his battery was bad - it was new last year - so they replaced it and charged him for it and told him to return it to NAPA for a refund. The battery was perfectly good so NAPA obviously wouldnt take it back. Whatever these people tell you double check EVERYTHING! They were hoping he wouldnt pick up the battery and find them out. Took USV in 7 days advanced called me hours later don't have part, picked up the car after supposedly now going be at my house the following day. One of the largest Ford dealerships I have seen. This is a convenient location, with easy parking and a rental desk if you need a rental. My service advisor was Luke. He was responsive and easy to communicate with. I asked a 100 questions and he patiently answered. He even called me with answers to my questions which required him to interact with the mechanic. I had a great experience , they did the work as agreed to and they didn't use all of the money in the original estimate. I will be back. read more

Would not recommend ordering any truck with Valley. The salesmen had no idea how to order the truck I wanted. They had no idea what was available as "jobs" according to the tiered order system ford corporate has. Spent around 6 months being told they were ordering it the way I wanted and by the time the factory started making the truck I found out multiple things were ordered incorrectly. Unacceptable on an $80,000 dollar truck. I had to give them $500 upfront for the order reservation (which I did get back). I only found out after that plenty of ford dealerships will place reservations without any cash down. I honestly believe they did it on purpose because once the truck came in the asked for 5K over the MSRP on their website (which they wouldn't have gotten if I took it as delivered). This whole ordeal has turned me away from Ford as a brand, going to order a chevy instead. read more

This is the most unprofessional car dealership I have ever encountered. I was recently in a car accident and my car was brought here to be serviced and/or deemed totaled. It took me 3 weeks to even know if my car was there or not and I only knew it was there because of my ford app. Only after going into the dealership for three days straight was I able to get answers by talking to the repair shop. Once in there nobody knew where my car was or if it was even there. And now they will not answer my insurance companies calls so they can get answers themselves. I would like to start by saying if you have a poor experience with this dealership, please report to Ford Customer Care!! Dealerships hate when the review is provided to Ford as it could potentially take from the dealership's bonus and incentives! Or even the number of cars Ford provides them to sell on their lot!! Make sure you fill out any 'How did we do surveys', too. Customer service is atrocious at this dealership! They tell you that they won't provide you with a loaner vehicle - however, if you have a 3 year 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty they are REQUIRED to provide you with a loaner or set you up with a rental car for 10 days. I confirmed this through Ford Customer Care. Ford actually had to call and tell Karen at the dealership the requirements! Yikes!! Sounds like they are taking advantage of their customers. Also, the service dept has no communication skills and refuse to answer any of your questions. I reached out and left many voicemails - never heard back. Actually, I started to show up and between showing up to the dealership and having Ford Customer Care involved, that is the ONLY time I received answers. When you do reach out to James Holley - the Service Director that you see responding to all of the poor reviews, you won't receive a response (at least, I didn't!). And no one would provide me with Jason Schaub's phone number, the GM. I have details typed up that I will be providing as far up as I can to Ford - I plan on it getting to Bill Ford as luckily I have family that works for Ford and have contacts. This dealership represents Ford poorly and should have the Ford name revoked from the dealership! BEWARE! They will get your sale (in our case, 2 cars - totaling $100K only 4 months ago) then treat you like crap when you need service. Luckily, Ford Customer Care was on my side and helped me. Does anyone else feel scammed every time they go here? I know this is a Ford wide thing that only they can update Sync...and the invoice says 1.5 hours. As a person in IT I can guarantee they have 20 minutes in it. They turned it on went and got coffee, talked to coworkers. That isn't active labor to charge for. $150 for something I should be able to do by myself. Microsoft has trusted us to update our own systems for 35 years. Then i have bad shocks on a car that I drive only in the city and have 43K miles on after 7 years! I feel like they always find something then when I tell them (from day like 12 of purchasing my brand new car) when it died and wouldn't even click there must be a short. 7 years and a new battery later it still randomly dies but they won't listen to that real concern. I love this dealership as they got me a great truck at a fair price. The removal of one star is due to the service hours. Online the hours are currently listed as being open until 8pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I rolled in around 6:30 and they said they could not get my oil change done because service closes at 7. I just checked again now and the website still says 8. It was very disappointing to have to drive all the way there and back without the needed service. I am trying to go every 6 months for an oil change so that they don't void the extra warranty I purchased. I should probably remove another star since there was high pressure to get the extended warranty but that is more about sales than service. read more

My transmission failed on my Ford F150 pickup truck. It would not go in reverse. We were from out of state and trying to help our son get his house for sale while dealing with his disabling medical conditions and future surgeries. The timing couldn't be worse. I dropped of the truck at Roush Ford on May 6, 2021. We had a CNA warranty, which didn't mean a thing. They sent out an inspector who determined that they were not covering the transmission because they claimed damage was due to an impact incident, which caused low fluid levels resulting in the damage . This analysis was a joke because I had no leaks. Two months previously I did have the transmission lines blow off while going in reverse up a hill and. I turned off the truck and had the truck towed. CNA covered the repair. I also took the truck back to my local dealer two days after they made the repair to make sure there were no residual leaks. Finally the day before I drove to Ohio, I had an oil change and all fluids checked . My truck never leaked. I was in a desperate situation because I was stranded out of state and being told that CNA was not going to cover my costly needed repair. I called my out of state home Ford dealer and talked to a service rep who said there was nothing I could do because the inspector used the word "impact." I was rescued by a service representative from Roush Ford Hilliard Ohio - named Shauna Dietz. She fought for me where others had given up. Shauna pushed back to CNA and got another inspector to come back to the dealer. She took a real interest in my situation. This battle went on for weeks. I didn't get a rental car because I had to wait for CNA to approve the complaint and repair. Shauna did help us get a rental pick up truck as soon as CNA covered the repair. I finally got my truck back on Friday, June 4. ( It was ready late Thursday June 3 afternoon , I was still moving our son so we waited until Friday AM). So we were stranded May 6 through late June 3. We were able to get a rental truck covered during the last 6 days. Remember Shauna Dietz if you need somebody to be on your side with a car issue. The fact that even though the Roush Ford service department is insanely busy and it's hard to talk to anyone- Shauna rose above the chaos and helped me and my family. We are very very grateful for everything she did for us with getting our truck covered by the CNA warranty and rental truck coverage! She was very sympathetic and kind to my wife and I. Also a big thanks to the techs who put the transmission back into the truck so we could return back to our home. read more

I made an appointment for the $69.99 "complete works" oil change and tire rotation. I arrived and was told it would be 2 hours, why I asked? "We take walk-ins and there are people ahead of you" Why have an appointment then? "Thats the way the system is set up. Strike 1. Service was actually done a little faster than the quoted wait time. I go to pay my bill and it is $129 & change. When questioned why did the price change so much? I was told that price of oil, filters all went up & my truck uses 6 qts of oil. OK maybe 6 or 7 dollars for that additional quart, but no body would explain the other cost. Strike 2. Even the service manager could not help, but he did give me a 10% discout, WOW! I am waiting for a call from the next level up, but my confidence is not real high. If prices have gone up then let that be reflected in the package price. read more

This is another review for the service area, as this is where my husband and I have been taking our Ford for its service work for the past few years. There is consistently good service, on everything from oil changes to brake replacement. They are friendly and efficient, but focused on doing quality work; a great combination. The prices are a touch higher than some independent shops, but we've always been very happy with the quality of the work. Jim Keim Ford also stands behind their work. After picking up the car when it went in for a brake fluid flush, we found that the brake pedal felt a little funny and was behaving irregularly. A phone call to them immediately resulted in prompt apologies and a request to bring it in again at our convenience so they could evaluate it and see what happened. They redid the flush and completed a new inspection, at which time they discovered a part needed to be replaced. The part was provided and installed for free. It is most appreciated that they were proactive about fixing the problem, and extremely polite about it too. read more

Also had wheel under warranty fixed due to pothole scuff. They were unable to give me a loaner car to use during the week period they needed my car in the shop. I have faithfully taken the Escape I bought here in for servicing without issues but this year has been a comedy of errors, mis-representations and outright bad service. Twice after oil changes the splash guard fell off, they replaced the "hardware" and the damaged splash guard on a Thursday, by the following Sunday it was dragging the ground again. "New wipers special at 2 for $20" did not want to honor the coupon price saying that $13 each was a better deal, then when pressed honored the coupon price but only replaced 1 wiper blade...making it more than the original price. Not only will I not be taking my car here for future service, when I am in the market for my next new car, after buying two at this dealership, I will be looking elsewhere. read more

Great service experience here yesterday. My truck started yesterday morning with trailer error messages that were constantly updating and pinging in the dash. Kind of a nuisance but also a potential safety issue since some features turn off when a trailer is connected. Without an appointment and late in the afternoon I stopped by to see if they could help. The service advisor listened to me describe the issue, went back to the shop to discuss with a tech, then returned and said they could take a look. In about an hour I was back on the road with the issue fixed. Everyone was helpful and pleasant while I waited. Thanks for a great experience! I have a 2015 Focus that has been having problems lately, so I brought it to Roush for service. I told the service guy on the phone about the issues I was having, but they ended up charging me 2 diagnostic fees of 150 each instead of just one standard diagnostic fee for everything, which I think would be sufficient. And then when I got the repair bill the 2 fees were both still on there! Can't believe the diagnostic fees aren't waived when you get the work done through them, because you know the prices are inflated anyway. I would have given this 1 star for that, but the car is running well and the work seems to have been done right. read more

I had a front axle repaired at Rousch ford. We picked the car up and not even 10 miles down the road I hear this awful dragging noise. I pull over and they didn't install the skid plate back on correctly and they left the aero cover off. I'm on the side of the road on a Sunday with my 14 month old while it's below freezing. 80 miles from home. ( I was visiting my dad at OSU Wexner when the car broke down). My husband has to tie the skid plate with a PHONE CHARGER. Come Monday we are told to contact James Holley the service manager we left multiple voicemails after a week of not hearing anything back we are told to contact the general manager Jason. We finally hear from him and he tells us he will get back to us to figure out a solution it has been two weeks now and we have not heard back. read more

After getting some incorrect diagnoses, I traveled for Christmas in 2017, and my car ended up breaking down. Nothing could get the car to start up again. After having it towed to another dealership, it was determined that Roush Ford (now Valley Ford) had failed to tighten some bolts which caused a few thousand dollars in damage. I called them and provided them with information about the other dealership, they contacted the other dealership to get their records, and they finally agreed to reimburse me - but only a partial reimbursement. Roush said part of what the other dealership did and charged me for was unnecessary, and they wouldn't reimburse for that part. I opened cases with the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General against the other dealership, and it was determined by an independent advisor that the 2nd dealership didn't do anything unnecessary. At this point, I was tired of the nonsense and didn't go back to pursue the rest of the reimbursement from Roush. Incompetent, shoddy work, and the service manager at the time wouldn't take full responsibility for their mistakes. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with my service today, Saturday, November 27, 2021. To prepare for my appointment today, last night I drove to a gas station and put air in all four of my tires. One of my tires had a 16 PSI. I filled the tire to 36 PSI last night. Roughly 20 minutes before my appointment, my low tire pressure notification lit up on my dashboard again. I drove to a gas station to blow air in my tires and the same tire was back at a 16 PSI. All of the other tires dropped by one or two PSI overnight. I explained to the person who serviced my vehicle, before I sat in the waiting area, that I just put air in the tire and it should be at or close to 36 PSI but has been getting extremely low. I told him to replace the tire if need be because I don't want to keep dealing with this issue. I have to put air in this tire almost every single day. At checkout, he told me they could not find a leak in the tire and the low tire pressure is most likely due to the cold weather. I don't understand how all four of my tires were out in the cold last night but only one dropped by 20 PSI. I don't believe they actually inspected my tire. I only have 15,000 miles on my car and tires. I'm aggravated because I know tomorrow when I go to start my car, I will have another low tire pressure notification on my dashboard. read more

Jim Keim Ford isn't my standard repair/dealer location. I broke down on I-70 about 50 miles away, and this was the closest Ford Dealer. If I ever break down on I-70 again, I'm coming back here. The tow truck guy dropped my car off there on a Sunday night, and apparently, we had just missed them (Maybe if it didn't take 4.5 hours to tow me, we wouldn't have had this problem, AAA [grumble]). So I checked into a hotel and headed over there the next morning. The guys working there were SO NICE. Really. The nicest set of mechanics going as well. They promised to keep calling and updating me, and they sent me over to the Hertz rental car place that is in the dealer. Awesome. The Hertz rental car guy, Grant, was awesome. I'm not 25, and therefore, have major issues renting a car in most states. He waived the underage fee, which for the record, was exorbitant. It would have been $35/day for a Ford Focus, but I spent the extra $20/day for bumper to bumper insurance. So definitely not bad price wise. When I couldn't figure out all of the controls in the Ford Focus, one of the mechanics helped me out. Sweeeet. Two days later, I came back to a totally repaired car. It wasn't cheap, but are car expenses ever cheap? They were really nice, though. And since the rental car place was closed once I returned, they took the keys so I wouldn't be charged for an extra day! My ONLY upset was that a few weeks later my car did not pass inspection because there was too much rust underneath. As they fixed a rusted part to the transmission, I wish they would have told me. I never would have paid for the repair; I would have just sold it there. A few weeks later, I got a card in the mail for a free oil change! I will try to be brief but this issue spans over the matter of 3 weeks. Awful experience began with being quoted $129 for a coolant flush for a diesel truck, I tripled asked to ensure price was right. After the "90 minute procedure" took 3+ hours, I was told it was $165. I just paid it and moved on assuming it was an honest mistake, guessing that was wrong. A week later I developed a major coolant leak, took the truck in first thing in the AM, got no call, so I called at 4:45 and was told it wasn't even looked at. Was then called back and told the leak was just coolant on the frame rail and the pressure test came back fine. I would assume it was never pressure tested as the story continues. A day later I see a massive puddle under the truck, take it back to show the mechanic, dripping from the front cover/water pump area. He tells me it most likely is a leaking water pump and gaskets. Says it is a 1.5-2 day job and has done plenty of them. I ask the service writer when the first apt is and he says following Tuesday, so I take it expecting 2-3 days max of down time. Drop truck off and it isn't touched for 3 business days. I never got a call giving me any info, I had to call them Thursday and was finally told it was just beginning to be looked at. I explain I HAVE to have the truck back by the following Wednesday night for an annual vacation. I am told the tech is leaving the next day(Friday) until the following Tuesday. I explain this isn't optional, it must be fixed, to which I am told chances are slim but it may be possible. I am finally told that my extended warranty will cover whatever the repair is(I have yet to be told what they did besides the paper I was given). I tell them I need a loaner car since I am paying for a rental out of pocket and was never offered a loaner before. I actually get one for the remainder of my nightmare service experience. Friday I get a call that everything is ordered and covered by warranty and that the repair should be done by Wednesday evening. I get no call Monday or Tuesday, so at 4:45pm I get a call Wednesday before closing and am told the part they got is wrong. Why it took 2 full days to find this out is besides me, was supposed to be done by now. I remind them I have an annual trip that I cannot miss or I lose a day of vacation and $$, they apologize but basically have no excuse. Nothing is offered to offset my losses or anything. Thursday on my VACATION day I go in at 7:45, my truck is in the same position and parts are in the same places as the last Thursday evening when I picked up my child's seat from the truck for the loaner car. I ask why my truck hasn't been touched and he says due to the wrong part. I tell them I will be in every 2 hours the rest of the day. 11:00am I come in and NOTHING has been done. Not one part is moved, no one is working on my truck, nothing. I ask to talk to the Service Manager who I do, and he apologizes and says he will try to make it right by getting it done that day. He calls me back 3 hours later and says they are working on it and hope to complete it. At 4:45 I get a call(they are open until 9pm FYI) and am told it won't be done until Friday. Friday I go in at 10am, no call, no contact at all to check on it. Truck is "done", after close to an hour of waiting I am told I have to pay my $100 deductible which I tell them they can cover after the horrible experience. They basically laughed in my face and said no. Hand wrote me a business card for a "free oil change". On top of the $100, I lost 8 hours of wages wasted away on a wasted day of vacation, 1/3 of our camping cost, 1/3 of my race ticket entry x2(family member), but nothing was done. I got the usual apologies and that was it. Story isn't even over yet!!! That did NOT fix my truck, less than a week later it's at Ricart Ford getting the water pump and gasket replaced because Jim Keim put the OLD water pump in after telling me it was leaking. The bolts were only hand tight too!!!! Ricart did ALL of this in 27 hours, 1 day. Even after telling me it would take 3 because they missed the time to order parts for next day, they made sure my truck was up and running. Jim Keim will never see any of my Ford vehicles again and being that we own 9, I hope others will take note and not take their vehicles there to experience this nightmare as well. I am also filing with the BBB to recover my $100 deductible as they did NOT fix the problem, just created the biggest service nightmare I have ever experienced. Resolution; After posting this and the same review on BBB.org I was contacted a few days later by the Service Manager who agreed that my experience was beyond poor and offered to try to make it up to me. I relayed my total losses along with the fact the warranty company still needed finished paperwork and he and I came to an agreed upon settlement amount. I received my check yesterday and feel he did try to make things better. read more
