I recently purchased a Bronco Outer Banks from Car Source Auto this past Saturday. Overall, the experience was mixed. My salesman, Hunter, was not overly pushy, which I appreciated. All of the staff I interacted with were polite and professional, and that made the process more comfortable. However, I do have several complaints. Before driving all the way from Virginia to Ohio, we agreed on an out-the-door price of $35,000. When I arrived, I was told the price had been increased by $500, and there was very little willingness to negotiate after the fact. That was frustrating, especially after making such a long trip based on a prior agreement. The vehicle itself was also disappointing at delivery. The Bronco was very dirty, had only about 10% oil life remaining, and was given to me with almost no gas in the tank. It also needs the window wipers replaced. When I brought this up, Hunter said he would provide a gas card, but I was only given $12, even though it takes roughly $60 to fill the tank. The listing said it had 55,000 thousand miles but when I arrived it has 57,500 thousand. While I'm happy with the Bronco itself and the staff was friendly, the pricing change, lack of vehicle prep, and minimal effort to make things right took away from what should have been an exciting purchase experience. read more

Bought a 2013 Santa Fe and the pictures on the website of the interior showed service light illuminated, when we saw the car the light was off, asked about it and was told it reset when they changed the oil. "Was told the oil was changed and had new tires." BIG LIE!!! When reviewing paperwork only ONE tire had been replace. Bought as is because it seemed by the appearance of the vehicle it was a solid buy. One month later it died on the side of the road. Needs a total engine and transmission. Has was in the oil pan too. They knew this car was bad, but sold it to us anyway. Talked to Bob(the owner" and he said he will contact the service manager and get back to us. NEVER DID! This is on us too because we bought it as is. RED FLAG! I was naive! But please do your due diligence when purchasing, actually, just go somewhere else. They lie and smile to your face! Bought a 2019 Escalade in July 2025, and talked about having a warranty through Escalade. We knew the engine light was on but was told they talked to Escalade dealership and would honor the warranty that had just expired. Over the next month of having the car, we find out (eventually because they aren't communicating or calling back) CAR SOURCE never spoke to Escalade dealership about said warranty. So now at this point, our salesperson is drunk texting and cussing saying "it's just a check engine light, is it that big of a deal" and that us calling car source for an update is "doing too much". For a CADILLAC CONVERTER. That was promised to be fixed/ they would fix it and we would pay whatever price they pay when they order the part, that would've been fine. But no one calls back and it's very obvious we're not their problem anymore. That part is fairly expensive. Escalade quotes $9000. So now it's January, have had it for 6 months and it broke down on the freeway in another state. Had we known this problem wasn't going to be fixed as discussed, we would've never bought it. Luckily we have a mechanic changing 3 Cadillac Converters for $1900 in Georgia to hopefully get our family home, and even after this, something else has caused this that we need to fix. Buyer beware engine light coming on 3 days after purchase from this car lot. Bought a Jeep Wrangler from Car Source car lot on Stringtown Rd, Columbus, OH. Tom Martin was the salesmen. Drove a Jeep Wrangler and 3 days after purchase the engine light came on. 3 days ok. Took it to a "Jeep Dealer" and there was a bad break pump, a fuel leak, bad thermostat etc. The Jeep dealer told me that " this engine light didn't all of a sudden come on its been on for a while and could have damaged the motor. This car lot reset the codes to clear the engine light (which is illegal) and put the Jeep on the lot to sell. You can drive the vehicle for around 50 miles before they come on again. This repair cost me $2,500.00. You have right's in the State of Ohio. I see on other reviews the same thing has happened to other people that made a purchase from this car lot. You can file a complaint at www.ftc.gov for fraud along with the Attorney Generals office and the Better Business Bureau. You may also seek legal counsel from a lawyer which I am doing. read more

Came here in at the end of October to buy a car, bought a 2013 Chevy Malibu from them. It looked untouched and like it had been sitting for a while ( the amount of stains and trash and there was a spider that found it's way to me while I was test driving the car) The first red flag was that the speedometer was not accurate at all, at least not in MPH, I was driving at 25MPH according to the car but it felt more like 10. Red flag #2 the odometer didn't work so there was no way of knowing, truly, how many miles were on the car. Yet despite the things I purchased the car. Cars can be cleaned and I wasn't worried about putting too many more miles on the car. While driving home (about a 20m drive) I was fine, I made it to my driveway and was fine. It wasn't until I left out again to to go get gas for the car that I had an issue, while stopped at a red light the car shut off. It did have an ECO mode meaning you would hit the gas and the car would start again, but this was not the case. After this I took the car to Chevrolet and they informed me that the car needed a brand new engine that, at a dealership's rates, would cost double what I paid for the car. I called Car Source and they told me there was nothing they could do to help me because the car was already purchased. It didn't really sound like they wanted to help honestly, it was no longer their problem. So, all this to say, be aware of red flags when purchasing from this dealer, they have cars posted are their site that look just as trashy as the one I bought. S/O to Keith for selling me this car and his manager for lack of help. You gotta be tough when buying a car here. This place is not pretty, you will feel a bit out of place and there is no coffee or snacks offered here. Its a wholesaler selling you high class cars at wholesale prices. Browsing their invertory seeing what cars go for wholesale made me never want to pay retail again and damn all the "regular" dealerships ripping you off no matter how good you think the deal is. Rock bottom prices, when we saw the deal they had on a new Cadillac Escalade we raced down there like crazy people thinking its gotta sell within the next 15 minutes. Lucky for us it was still there, we were instantly in love and didn't question the price, clean carfax, all was good to go. We bargained for hours, left for lunch and left them hanging just to get the price that we wanted, they kept calling and gave us an unbelievable trade in offer so that we walked off having made mad money on our trade in (an older Escalade) and only paying $3000 (not downpayment, that was it!!!) for the new one. Feeling like we won the lottery we drove off. Fast forward a month later, I was trying to get the tires rotated and turns out the lug nuts on it are way too short, scary!!!! $300 for some new nuts (LOL) and one star taken away since they really should have checked that out before selling it to us. read more

DO NOT GET A CAR FROM HERE!! They sold me a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu that had leaking oil from the get go. I thought no big deal as I'm one of those people that always am quick to take my car to get it repaired when I see issues so I took my car to many mechanics. Shortly after the issue still continued and I took the car to the mechanics at the dealership who advised I had a blown head gasket and it was going to be a $3000 fix. Since I have owned the car I have dumped a ton of money into it. When I called to ask then if I could show proof of diagnostic paperwork to prove that I have been paying to get the issue fixed and nothing worked they did not care at all. We were happy with our used truck purchase, nice salesman, etc... but what was seriously lacking was in the maintenance department. We found out 3 weeks after buying the truck that we were told incorrect information about the check engine light. All it was, they said, was tire pressure (or the sensors were broken on them). Found out, it has a vacuum leak in the gas line. Ok, fine - we bought it as is. We accept that, but frustrated at either the lie, or by them not even bothering to tell us what that check engine light was for, which we were told from the beginning, they would let us know so we could take care of it. We also found out - there was very little oil in the truck. It didn't even read on the dipstick. Also, we were at the very bottom of the power steering fluid, as well. Overall, I think the truck was washed and the keys were handed to us, and that's it. These lack of vital fluids could have caused a big problem for us had we not thought to check. I would trust that the dealership would make sure a car was good-to-go off the lot and we wouldn't have to go buy an oil change and fluids right away. After discussing with the salesman, he felt they just "missed it", but you don't miss reading the diagnostic reader - you either did it, or you didn't. So, moral of the story - if you find the car you want there, check under the hood before you drive off, or you could end up having to buy a new engine soon enough, or maybe a pump for your power steering. read more

I made the mistake of purchasing 2 cars from this company. Both cars had issues in no more than 4 months after purchase. The first - the frame needed to be replaced and the 2nd is a catalytic converter. I understand that they are selling "wholesale" but there is no transparency and I truly believe they fix the cars up just enough to get you off the lot and hold you responsible for whatever happens after that. My credit isn't great but that doesn't mean that I deserve to be taken advantage of either if I can't qualify for one of your better cars...which even that is suspect to me after dealing with these two. Update: loved my car at first...... Seemed shady how my car had a $11,xxx sticker price, but ended up paying $14k after all of the extras. Should've walked away then, but whatever. .... Upon leaving the lot I noticed damage on the drivers side mirror (my bad, I don't know how I could have missed this), anyways, not covered under warranty or anything, they will not fix it as I purchased my car "as is". I drove it for about a month before my AC went out... In the hottest month of summer. I planned to take it back into Car Source to be checked, but they don't work on the AC in 2016 Honda's (how convenient). Luckily I have a Honda dealer in my city, who can work on it. Very inconvenient as my vehicle is only two years old, and is low miles. At the Honda dealership now, hoping it just needs a re-charge.... but honestly I won't be surprised if it has a slew of problems. I should've done my research before buying from this company. I have purchased 2 cars from here - a Mercedes ML350 in 2019 and a Ford Explorer in 2021. My salesman was Bob he was was incredibly helpful with all my questions and not push at all. I told him my price range and the cars I wanted to look at- he even told me "you dont want to look at that car" and suggested better options for the same or even less cost. When I was back from my test drive, he would have the next car pulled up and waiting for me. I spend the day there driving a few different SUVs and never felt rushed or like I was wasting anyones time. One of the cars I had driven has squishy brakes- I told them when i got back from my test drive and they took it over to the back of the lot and parked it with a pile of other service cars. When i got my Mercedes, I noticed later that night that the headlight was burnt out- I went back a few days later and they fixed it for free. Ive only had my Explorer for a few weeks but both of the cars Ive purchased from here were extremely solid and I haven't had a single mechanical issue with them. I have recommenced multiple people here because of the friendly staff, the non-pushy salesmen, and the huge selection of cars- we plan on coming back in a few months to trade in my moms Pathfinder for a sedan. read more

I went to see the car (2005 Hyundai Santa Fe) test drove it and bought it all in the same day, I had my eye on another car but the dealer spilts the beans and said it had problems and wasn't worth the money. So I looked around and seen the Hyundai and ask about it. He was honest and said it needed a few things but other than that it was a pretty good car. Very unexpectedly I found myself without a vehicle . As a contractor it is essential to my livelihood to have a truck . I spent the day going to various dealerships and I honestly was going to give up after having so much run around and BS. I had seen a truck online that had the specifics that I needed and a reasonable price. The lot wasn't far from where I was looking already so decided to go check it out. Best decision I could've made . Big Chuck helped me that night and stayed till 10pm till we could get it right. Then he held the truck for me for three days until I could scrape together the down payment. There were a couple of snags with the lending and Kyle, the finance manager, worked and worked at it until I could leave the lot in my new truck . I would highly suggest taking the car down the road to Firestone for an inspection before purchase. We did that and brought the list back of everything that was wrong with the car, and Car Source is fixing it all also giving me the discount price originally offered. So I will be driving this car away with brand new parts and nothing wrong all for a discounted price. They will also service my car at a discounted price if something were to go wrong or just for basic maintenance. All parts have warranties. I have never been to this place before , but I am a very satisfied customer and will be returning there for future services. Great, family friendly staff! This review may or may not be updated depending on how long the car lasts haha. But I have a good feeling!! Update: I've had the car for 8 months and it now has an engine problem. They should be doing engine/transmission checks before selling these cars. I should have paid the extra money to have Firestone do it, but at the time I didn't have the extra money since I was planning to buy a car.
