I made an appointment for an oil change after getting a mailer in the mail for a contest. My appointment was for 2 o'clock, I got there at 130 and they had me out early. They checked all my fluids and were very friendly. I paid $16 for my oil change, which is way cheaper than any other place in the area. This place is family owned and I will definitely return. Very disappointed at the amount of respect a person is given when trying to buy a car. I was approved for a loan through my bank. I had to wait till Monday to get the check. They sold the car on Saturday knowing full well that I was going to pick it up Monday. This is supposed to be a dealership. The whole process of purchasing a vehicle took all day! It seemed they did not apply my trade-in which was only $500. When I left the lot, they forget to do a full detail of the vehicle. So I drove off with a dirty car. It was a hassle to get back to the dealership to get my car cleaned. Left with a high interest rate and long term. I felt duped. There was a crack in my windshield which they did not want to fix. I will never go back or recommend. They have not followed up with me since, even though I told them to call me to do another trade-in. read more

I went in thinking the worst about what I needed fixed but was pleasantly surprised to find out it was Not as bad as I thought, and they didn't try to add things in that didn't need to be fixed either. I got a tune up and a few other things done . I'm so thankful I have found them, being a woman sometimes taking your vehicle to a shop can be aggravating and nerve wracking. Not here! Purchased a vehicle approximately 18 months ago. It appeared as advertised and the price was fair. They weren't too pushy, however some "used car salesman" stereotypes were confirmed. The purchasing department was great to deal with. However, in the months that have followed, we have had to put over 1K in the vehicle. The front brake calipers were "frozen" or locked up and the rear brakes were dragging. Most likely from sitting on the lot. In addition, the front bumper lost its paint in the hot summer months. Apparently the bumper had been recently painted when I purchased the vehicle and no prep work had been done nor was any flex agent used. (It is a plastic bumper) When I purchased the vehicle they had given me a statement showing all the work they had done, including new front pads and rotors. However that is doubtful given that they had to be replaced. I would look there again, but I would have a 3rd party inspect the vehicle if I was thinking about purchasing. read more

I recently purchased a vehicle from the Columbus location and was extremely unsatisfied with not only the vehicle but also how I was treated throughout my experience. The worst part of my experience was the obvious fact that I was blatantly stereotyped. In August of 2008 my father purchased a 1999 Honda Accord from your lot. My father managed to successfully a buy well-running vehicle with no trouble, but 3 years later I walk in by myself to not only purchase a vehicle but also put trust into a company that already earned it once, and the circumstances change. I am outraged over the obvious gender stereotyping that occurred during my dealing with the company. I had only driven the vehicle for about a week when multiple problems occurred. I returned the vehicle and told the maintenance manager my brakes, transmission, and CD player all needed to be repaired. After returning a week later to pick up my vehicle the maintenance manager informed me that in order to fix my transmission he had reset my internal computer. This would require me to drive another 100,000 miles for my car to adjust to my driving in comparison to the previous owner's "Lead Foot." After ignorantly retrieving the car back, I drove it for approximately 2 more weeks before more problems occurred. Luckily my boyfriend drove it once and realized my transmission was about to go out. I had had the car for about 3 weeks and was now facing a potentially expensive repair. I had the car inspected by a different mechanic, who reiterated the fact that my transmission would need to be rebuilt completely. I was told that anyone with even minimal car knowledge would be able to take a single look at my car and realize my transmission was bad. Why did Stewart Auto Group reset my computer then? The real answer- to feed me lies that would kill time until my warranty expired. They took one look at me, a 19 year-old woman and stereotyped me as a mechanically ignorant female, who could be taken advantage of. This type of sexist behavior is reprehensible. One consequence for your actions includes me contacting the BBB. Other actions are currently pending. If I had been a male customer purchasing a vehicle from Stewart Auto Group this story would probably be one of appreciation and happiness. The difference between the experiences my dad had and the experience I had is drastic. My father was sold a reliable vehicle, where I was sold the worst vehicle on the lot hoping I wouldn't be able to recognize the problems before my warranty expired. I hope my situation forces you to think twice next time you stereotype others. read more

BEWARE OF THE SERVICE MANAGER!!!!!! I have had 3 different services performed here. The first was just fine, but mind you it was just an oil change. The second one I went to pick up my car and the total was more than 300$ over what I was told would be the most it would be. The third I was told, a serpentine belt labor and materials would be no more than 50$ and of course I go to pay and it's 115$! I found a wonderful used car for a great price here and had a great experience. The salesman: Rylan was awesome and helped me find my perfect car ( highly recommend Rylan), Joe, the finance manager did a wonderful job with the paperwork /financing. I briefly met the service manager who was very friendly and saw the service department which is quite big. One of the owners, Bob Stewart was involved throughout the process and made us feel very comfortable and welcome. All follow-up with them has been positive. They seem very customer-satisfaction driven. It's worth the drive if you're not from Pataskala. Stewart Auto Group is a company you can trust--- with good people running it. We had a very bad experience with Stewart's. The used car we bought immediately needed close to $3,000 worth of repairs. The dealer paid for part of it but then we began to have even more problems with it. I approached them to see if they would help us find another car on their lot and make us a good deal because of the problems we had. I went to this lot after reading a lot of glowing reviews, and only seeing a few negative ones-but that would be the case with any car lot really-you can expect in that business there would be a few unhappy customers. I should have gone elsewhere. If you are looking to get the run around on questions regarding a vehicle you've purchased, this is the lot for you. You can expect a resolution in weeks, not days. I don't know anything about mechanics, and I think they took advantage of that, and me being a female so they assume I MUST be dumb and they can sell me whatever.
