We had the absolute best experience with Malek at Bob Caldwell yesterday! My husband and I both…read moremade so many comments afterwards about what a refreshing car buying experience it was, how Malek made everything so easy and enjoyable for us, and made it seem like we were buying from a friend, rather than a sales rep! We both made the comment, 'can you tip a car salesman??' He was THAT good. Additionally, we were so pleased with both our trade-in value and the price paid for our new car, that we left feeling really excited about the entire experience. Before even meeting us, Malek sent a short video message of himself so that we would know who to look for upon arrival, along with showing us briefly the car we were coming to see. I've never had someone do this before and thought it was not only creative and thoughtful, but genuinely really helpful! When we arrived on the lot I recognized him right away and was thankful to feel like I "knew him" when I walked over. What a unique sales approach! Malek had the car ready for us upon arrival, and then quickly brought around 3 additional vehicles as we made comments about what we liked or didn't. It was so helpful that the dealership had so many of these similar vehicles for us to compare, and was great that Malek took the initiative to bring them around for us, without ever making it seem like it was a problem or we had to stop looking at one to go over and look at another. He made it so easy to compare back and forth, and was never pushy or impatient with us. When we experienced an issue with one car (broken headrest) he immediately assured us that he would make it right and went to talk to his sales manager about what options we had. Malek was very responsive, professional, and just a really nice guy. Overall, our car buying experience here was fantastic, from before we even walked onto the lot until we drove home our new (to us) car. As a sales rep myself for a different industry, I learned a lot about Malek's salesmanship that I will take for my own personal growth. We absolutely love the car that we bought, and cannot recommend this dealership and Malek enough!

Their automated phone system repeatedly hung up on me after long hold times -- and that was the only way I could get updates, since they never followed through on promised callbacks. My service rep, Alex, repeatedly told me he would call with updates, yet I never received a single one. At one point, he claimed he had tried to reach me multiple times, but it turned out he was calling my parents' old home number -- a line that hasn't existed for years. I have no idea how they even got that number, especially since all my interactions with them had been through my mobile phone. Not only was the communication abysmal, but the sense of urgency was nonexistent. My car sat there untouched for the entire first week because they hadn't even started diagnostics. When I called for an update, they couldn't even locate my vehicle in their system. After finally determining the car needed a new engine, I was told there was no way to get a loaner in the meantime. Then, when they said it was finally fixed and ready for pickup, the check engine light came back on immediately when they pulled it up -- right back to square one. Having no car, no communication, and then being expected to pay for something they missed in the first place is unacceptable. This dealership clearly lacks organization, accountability, and respect for its customers. Do yourself a favor and take your business to any other Kia dealership.

I give this predatory car lot and financier CNAC negative 5 stars. Here is a youtube video showing…read morehow they scammed us and all the junkyard parts: https://youtu.be/d0AudbB4dtg We pulled into JD 'scrap yard' Byrider and took notice of a nissan murano which 'looked' to be in great shape. We walked in and sat down at about 12:30 or 1pm and i immediately asked for the CARFAX for the murano. I was told to hang on a few while the salesman worked on our credit approval (we were outside at the time). He also said the carfax was clean. Many hours pass and no carfax and by that time i had already forgotten about it due to the mind numbing wait we were forced to endure by the popcorn machine. After several threats by me to get up and leave because of how long they were taking to gain credit approval, they finally approved the loan and i was allowed to check out to car at about DARK thirty. We drove it and all seemed well except that it pulled really hard to the left. They promised to fix it and they did indeed replace the front tires...but it still pulled a little. They replaced the tires after the purchase. At about 8:30-9pm (aprox 8 hour wait) and after our minds were NUMB from all the waiting by the popcorn machine (no lunch or dinner and up past bedtime) and all of the "were almost ready guys, just a few more minutes," ...we made a horrible decision. We signed the paperwork just to be done with it so we could go home and crash. They said they were giving me $1600 for my civic (fair market value of $4k) but only gave me $1300 and slid it passed my face so fast i dinna notice AND took $1k on top of that. They slid the paperwork past us so fast we didnt have time to read anything or comprehend what we were signing or even notice they screwed me on the civic. This is a tactic used to wear down people in order to force them into a mistake. Its a legit form psychological warfare. A predatory practice. The salesman also said we were getting a 5 year 60k bumper to bumper warranty... sadly after we got home we noticed that it was just a 1 year limited warranty. Still, i tried to get them to fix the 4 check engine codes for the EVAP system which turned into arguments and cussing matches. This issue caused the car to run bad and get 15mpg (still not fixed). Also just before this happened i called into JD to get them to replace a missing part of the air cleaner system i noticed after the purchase (was dark when i looked under the hood at the car lot and didnt notice it)....they refused. Fast forward to 1 year ago to today. The high pressure line from the transmission to the cooler burst at the repair joint (more on this in a minute) causing the tranny to run without fluid for a while causing damage. The CVT transmission now has issues over this... The high pressure line was repaired once upon a time and they used zip ties instead of hose clamps which was the cause of the failure. A month later, the starter goes out due to the grounding strap between the starter and solenoid corroded apart. I had to take the drivers side tire off to get to the starter to fix it. It is at this point i saw all the paint marks (salvage yard paint markings) all over replaced parts. Strut, a-arm, axle, tranny, brake caliper ect. If that wasnt bad enough, the motor mount is bent and the frame is a bit tweaked and looks like it was cut and welded back in. Also as i tore down into the engine to get to the starter, i also noticed that parts like the battery tray, frame holding the box, air cleaner ect all had salvage yard paint markings on them. MY CAR WAS OBLITERATED ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AT SOME POINT WHICH WAS HIDDEN FROM ME BY THE SALESMAN AT JD BYRIDER!! I pulled out my paperwork and finally found the carfax hidden between all the power of attorney paperwork. The car WAS in a serious accident and the salsman lied about it all. HE KNEW... i would bet my life on it. So as of today i tried one last time to get them to fix this crap under the lemon law as well as lieing about the carfax. Again, they just got nasty and basically said we got your money and you signed the paperwork.... I still owe 2 more years on this murano that i am paying $22,000, 13k sticker price minus $2300 in trade in and cash. Currently the murano is worth $3800 in fair condition KBB. BTW. The GPS tracking device is under the carpet, drivers side, wired to OBD2 port. Remove it by unplugging it completely and moving the old obd port plug back to its original position with screws. STAY AWAY!! Dont fall into their trap. 1 day late? They repo you.
