Fred in the service department is the BEST! Got me in the day before my warranty expired. I was in and out quickly with a smooth running car. He kept me updated during the process and was the nicest and most professional person ever. Thanks Fred! read more

I just happened to be home for a Christmas break from San Diego and unfortunately for me my BMW X5 would not start. I had called my cousin who specialized in VW and BMW's to see who I should have it towed to. He called a few of his friends who actually work for BMW San Francisco and they recommended Central Valley Autohaus. I called them and they were closed. Called BMW and someone answered. At the time I felt more comfortable leaving it with someone who was there. (It's Monday & Christmas observered holiday) My thinking was quickest and fastest. I towed it there and walked in. All of the salesman were surrounded around a computer and not one of them even acknowledged me. I'm like.."HELLOOO!" At this point I feel completely uncomfortable and a nuisance. Finally a nice gentleman by the name of Harbans gives me all the information I need and I leave my key with him. I explain I am in the military and need to get back to San Diego ASAP. Kind and sweet. So I called in the morning and they said that "Fred" would be taking care of my car and that they would "call me." I got a call at 10:15 and Fred said that they were going to run the diagnostic and get back to me. I called at 2:00 and got his voicemal. He called me at 2:50 and informed me that I needed a new oil sensor and oil change to go along with that. My quote for that....a whopping $780 with diagnostic and tax. I asked when would this get done. He stated by 3 pm the following day and no they did not have a loaner car. Seriously?! ? I told him that I would call him back. I then called Cental Valley Autohaus. I spoke with the manager Doug and explain my situation. He told me to have it towed by the time they close at 5:30 and they would have it done by noon for LESS THAN 1/2 the price of Valley BMW. No BRAINER! I did and I am happy! Do yourself a favor and go directly to Central Valley Autohaus. It is 1/2 mile away from Valley BMW. You will not only save yourself a lot of money, but they are exteremly nice and honest! read more

I made an appointment and advised them what I needed prior to going in for maintenance. After I arrived for the appointment they told me they would diagnose it and then probably work on it the next day. They would give me a rental car. Unfortunately, not knowing this in advance, I could not do it. I would not be home in time the following day or anytime that week to pick up the car. It was a broken window regulator, not something "unknown" like a squeak. I had taken my car here before, actually a few months back, and it was diagnosed with several issues. Thousands of dollars worth of issues. I did not get it repaired. Having a window that would not close, I made an appointment at another dealership. They also did a diagnosis, and to my surprise, nothing was wrong with my car. I was treated amazingly well at the other dealership. They went out of their way to get my car finished and the service was the best. See ya Modesto! I am still waiting for the "achieved" inspection report from them, so I can send it to the other dealer. read more

Not really a fan of BMW vehicles. We test drove one bout a year ago. The sales person took us on a little drive around a couple of curves trying to impress us on the stability of the car. Oh it was stable alright. But, then what do you expect at 40 miles an hour??? Heck, a bicycle would be stable at that speed. Needless to say I wasn't impressed. It didn't get off the line as fast as the car I now own. They are ok cars, just not my preference. read more

I have owned 5 BMW's and have had dealings with this place on numerous occasions. I helped my roommate get a new BMW elsewhere, his first and he was extremely excited. We went down to Valley 9/9/2016 to get him some accessories and order some parts. It turned out we got there a few minutes after parts had closed. We were there for about 4 minutes and walked by 4 different employees. We passed 3 on the way in and walked to parts in the back, then walked back to the showroom and looked at the i8 for a minute. Not one of them said a thing to us. Two of them turned their backs to us as we walked by. Now, I'm not sure if we were being profiled or just judged on our clothing but we pulled up in a beautiful 2009 328 coupe with 4 grand in tires and rims in pristine condition, so at least one of us isn't homeless. I know for a fact one of the salesmen watched us as we pulled up and parked so we were not the first "hispanic ninjas". Unless they just happened to all be mind readers they had no idea whether the guy in the passenger seat was in the market for his 6th BMW or not. In the past when I pulled up in my 335i I was always greeted kindly and asked if I'd been helped even when they were busy. It didn't matter if I was in shorts or sweat pants. Yesterday at least two of them were standing around and went out of their way to not only ignore us but turn their backs to us. I know this because I actually had a few questions about their inventory and when I realized that we weren't the kind of customers they actually spoke to we couldn't leave fast enough. I felt uncomfortable and will make sure everyone I know hears about this. I will never set foot on this lot again. I have no problem driving to Concord for respect and a dealership that is far superior to what Modesto has to offer. read more

I bought my car here last year and did not have any problems at all. The salesperson (Anthony) was great and helpful. Everytime I bring my car in for oil changes etc the service department is great! We have been taking all four of our BMW's to Valley over the past ten years or so, to the point we have their number in our cell phones. We usually deal with Scott in the service department, and he has always been very helpful and professional. Whenever my husband has a question about any of our vehicles, no matter how trivial, he always takes the time to answer them all. We have our first 1985 325E still and they have one of the few service techs around that still knows how to work on these babies. Needless to say we are a little anal about our vehicles, so we take them to a dealer for service, but we have found them to be very reasonably priced, when compared to other brands we have owned over the years. We would recommend Valley to anyone we know. read more

Different side of Anthony Bhatti here--I'm from out of town and exchanged several texts/emails with him on a car I was interested in. Turns out, it was inventory from another dealer that according to Anthony they would be able get and sell to me directly. We talked numbers and were pretty close to closing the deal and due to the fact that we already made travel plans to go up there to visit family (and drive the car back), I wanted to secure everything a few days before. Given this, I tried one last time to negotiate a slightly better price in which Anthony could not do. I got the feeling his last offer was the best it was going to be since I only received a response from him when I initiated a call or text. So, I called again and told him I will accept the offer since my flight is in two days. His answer? "Oh, I will have to double check with the dealer again to make sure it's available". He never called back or responded to my text afterwards. I tried several times and even emailed sales manager Ken Brigham and never heard back from him either. What a waste of time. I then contacted the dealer that actually had the car on their lot and they were much more straightforward about everything. Although their price was higher, I appreciated that they didn't waste time having me call/text repeatedly just to get an answer. I'm not sure what happened with Anthony (I assume he realized he couldn't do the price he quoted or simply had another customer that was more profitable for him). I also noticed on the "quote" that he provided that the MSRP and vehicle details were conveniently missing. By the way, its been a week later as of this posting and the car is still available at the other dealers lot. Stay away from Valley BMW! read more

My wife returned our 2011 328i convertible lease back to Valley BMW in Modesto CA. We have several cars now but wanted to take some time for our next vehicle. I was leaning towards the X3 for her and she was thinking about the Lexus SUV. The problem was returning the vehicle and the RUDE treatment she received. She had asked Mark Foreman, lease specialist, if she could get a ride back home after explaining we were simply not ready to make a discussion for her next car. He said they do not give rides for drop offs !!!!! The salesman that we conversed with many times gave my wife the cold shoulder. Shawna, my wife asked to have the personalized plates back from the vehicle and Mark rolled his eyes... Shawna even sat in the x3 in the show room in front of Mark Foreman and he said nothing to her. Not even would you like to take it for a drive,, NOTHING. It is unconceivable to think this type of unprofessional behavior goes on at the Valley Modesto BMW dealership as in our case we simply were not ready to buy or lease right away. A sell might have been made as Shawna had the business check book with her and she liked the X3. I was in San Francisco on business and could not leave. Shawna had to call her mother that lived 45 miles away to pick her up. My wife wants nothing to do with BMW's now. Instead of buying her flowers, I took her to a Lexus dealership today and put 15K down on an SUV. Problem solved but not the lingering frustration... UPDATE: I received a phone call from the manager apologizing for Mark Foreman's rude behavior towards my wife. I have now received a "Disposition Fee" for $350 to put this car back on the lot...... Keep in mind there was not one scratch as I'm the type to park in ten buck two to avoid door dings. I had detailed the car and had it serviced at BMW two weeks before returning it so it would be in top shape. $350 - WHY??? The contract states " The fee helps cover the costs incurred in transporting the vehicle, preparing it for sale and paying the auction fees" A great customer service move for this class act that was pulled on us would have been to waive this fee. I love the fact when they pat you on the back with "I'm sorry" and the other hand in my wallet to see if they can insult me further. read more

I bought a certified pre-owned sport wagon from this dealer 2 years ago. This is the most unprofessional dealership I could ever imagine. I would not recommend buying a car from this group of liars, swindlers, and morons. From the salesman to the manager to the owner to the department who finished the paperwork...... This place is Horrible. Fortunately I had warranty coverage due to it being a CPO car. And thankfully I don't live near there and had my local BMW dealer fix the items that Valley lied about and cobbled together to make the sale. read more

Very unprofessional people work there, they were laying to me about car availability and after I committed to buy it and gave them all my info and my wife, they run my credit and get all financing done. Went to the BMW service center twice. Both times for an oil change. The first time I made an appointment and I still had to wait for over two hours when i was told the wait would only be an hour. After the oil change was completed i noticed a sent of burning oil. I took the car back to the dealership and after inspecting the car they said the problem was that the technician spilled oil and forgot to clean it. After my second oil change i noticed that the front grill was lose. I called the service department. I got on the phone with the service member and his phone was breaking up. The call got dropped twice so i called him, however after the third time the call dropped i figured he should call me back. NEVER DID!!! As i was driving to the dealership, the grill fell off. i spoke to the service member he told me that BMW was not responsible even if the break may have occurred as the technician slammed the hood down. On the weekend of Sept 21st I was driving down to southern California from Sacramento with my client. We were about 3 hours into our trip when we had a over heating engine in our 2006 BMW 325i. We pulled over and didn't know what we should do. After letting the engine cool we tried back on our trip and 40 miles back into our trip we again had an overheating engine. Concerned and in the middle of nowhere we looked up a BMW dealership to bring our beloved 325i. Then we were out of luck and after hours on Sunday the 22nd. We vowed to bring the car in the next morning to discuss our options, but not being from the area, we feared we would be stuck in the area for days, and miss out on our much anticipated business trip that we had scheduled months in advance. We arrive at Valley BMW in the morning of the 23rd. We were greeted quickly by Steve our service manager and immediately noticed how attentive he was to our needs, our issues, and what we required for comfort while we awaited a diagnosis. I am a personal assistant and in my field you have to think 18 steps ahead. Not a lot impresses me, and most of the time I feel like people don't think ahead about what their job entails and its requirements. Steven Varni exceeded all of those expectations and immediately got us into a courtesy car after qualifying our policy coverage. He made my client feel comfortable, in good hands, and assured us he would work to the best of his ability to help us get on the road as soon as possible. He made her and I feel important, and was very attentive to the fact that we were in a tough spot. We were 100 miles from home, unsure of our outcome and unsure of being able to make our business commitments in Southern California. After a couple hours we were back on the road and on our way. He took care of our water pump, installed it and even had the car washed. If your looking for someone to take your car to, someone who is honest, and works hard, quickly, with great communication I suggest Valley BMW. Ask for Steve Varni, he will take care of you, communicate all the information to you and offer you suggestions to help lengthen your cars' life. It was one of the best experiences I had at a dealership service counter, ever. read more

Wished I had read these reviews before I bought at Valley BMW. I wouldn't have. I agree with Seasbass Mike was great. The guy who went through the car with me was great (sorry I forgot his name) and initially service was good but now I get that I am bothering them, snide remarks like "there are worse things in life than a wrinkle in your seat." Really? Yes obviously there are worse things in life but I want my new expensive car to be fixed properly. Each time I have taken my brand new car in to fix something it comes back damaged or dirty. Now I can't get anyone to call me back not the General Manager or the Owner. They know I can't take it anywhere else but there while it's under warranty so I'm stuck. I wish I'd kept my Prius. I went to Valley BMW today because while driving on the highway, my seat and mirrors randomly reset themselves. I was frightened as this is clearly a safety issue. I asked if someone could just take a look, maybe check the fuses then I would schedule maintenance. I was told they could not do ANYTHING until Next Tuesday. (Remember I mentioned a safety issue). I left and call Niello Elk Grove BMW and they said come right away or we can have it towed in. We will check it immediately and give you a loaner. Go to Elk Grove NIELLO BMW and ask for TREVOR! I literally downloaded and created an account just to give this place a poor review. I bought a 2020 M340i and had parts ordered within the cost. My e46 BMW broke down at Harris Ranch on I-5 on a Sunday afternoon. I had the car towed 150 miles to Valley BMW. Yes, there were independent shops closer, but I knew the dealership would be able to diagnose, get the parts in a timely manner, and repair my car in a timely manner. Being an e46, my car is 13 years old and requires an experienced mechanic. Thanks to Levi for sticking around after hours so the car could be parked on property. I got a nearby hotel room and waited until the morning. Fred, the service advisor, called me promptly first thing in the morning. They did a diagnostic and came back with an estimate of time and cost. I wasn't promised the car by close of business, but it seemed likely. At the end of the afternoon, my car was ready. The service advisor and mechanics are knowledgeable and friendly. Was it a cheap repair? No, but I paid a fair price. I got a factory trained mechanic installing authentic parts. If I wanted cheaper, I should have purchased a different brand and taken it to a mechanic who may or may not have worked on similar cars.. The other shops I considered were located in industrial areas and were, well, scary. I knew Valley would get me from the hotel to the agency and I'd be back on my way before the day was out. read more

Terrific experience working with Robert and Anthony on a 535i lease for my father. No BS on the numbers - straight and to the point - Robert worked me a solid lease on the specific car I wanted. I felt like I made a friend during the process of purchase and will buy with Anthony again. I shopped around - never thought I would buy from Modesto but Anthony and team made it all easy including the personal delivery. Buying a car is never easy, let alone a sport SAV. It was quite intimidating for me because of the fact that it was our first SAV and our first German car as well. I walked in into the dealership without even knowing what an x drive was. But these guys made it easy for me and answered my gazillion questions. I'd like to mention Anthony Bhatti who guided us through the build. He knows a lot of these cars inside out because he is a BMW enthusiast himself. The build started June 9th and was delivered August 2nd. Now through this two month ordeal, you're gonna need a consultant so that any changes can be applied at the soonest possible time before they make the actual vehicle. Oscar Rivera helped us and updated us together with Anthony on what stage the build was in. They were very patient. When the car arrived at the dealership, Anthony called me up right as soon as the truck pulled up their driveway. My family and I hopped inside the car and drove down the dealership to pick it up. I was ready for a whirlwind of offers for parts or accessories that I probably won't need. But that didn't happen. Ken Brigham was very professional and made the contract signing so easy. And let's not forget the Joseph and Levi who even went to our house so that they can fully explain the in and outs of the car and its million features. Valley BMW - Joseph going over the primary features of the x5 - Car Dealers Near Me - Modesto, California

I came by this morning to take a look at a certified pre-owned BMW X5 that was posted on their website and craigslist. I drove all the way from Walnut Creek and probably should have called before hand but I was really disappointed to come to find out that they allow "friends" to borrow vehicles on their lot. Our sales rep asked another colleague where the X5 was and the rep confirmed that "Ryan's friend borrowed it for the weekend" the sales rep went and confirmed with someone else just to come and tell me that the "car is NOT sold but won't be returned until Monday because someone is borrowing it and I should come back Monday". I would NOT ever recommend anyone purchase a vehicle from here because I'm shocked that they allow people to borrow cars that they want to sell. I want to know if I'm spending 55,000+ that my car is not being given around the dealership to be driven by others. I also found it extremely rude that I drove over an hour and a half to be told to come back. I refuse to ever come to this dealership again and think everybody should think twice about purchasing a vehicle from here. read more
