I bought my BMW here a few months ago, even though I'm in a different town. I had been searching for a particular model and they happened to have it. Alexander was amazing and I highly recommend you contact him if you are in the market. I had also gone to a Mercedes dealership in another town, and immediately rejected the idea due to the typical high pressure sales tactics which I can't stand. I actually still get calls from them two months later. Alexander on the other hand was extremely helpful, and was prepared to let me go think about my decision which I really appreciated. This dealership doesn't move enough units to make deals that make sense. Save your money, spend a little extra time, and go to a Bay Area dealership with a full lot. Trust me. They'll make deals because they want to move units and have the inventory to do so. I can not say enough about their service department and especially Steve Varni. While traveling from San Francisco to Phoenix AZ I hit a pothole and bent my wheel and put a 4inch gash in my tire. If I could I wouldn't even give 1 star! My husband took our car in for air bag recall replacement. He got down the street after picking it up and it started to overheat. I called and spoke with Russ in the service department who was an absolute asshole!! I told him the car was working completely fine until we took it there for the recall to be fixed. he stated,"the cooling system and the airbags are unrelated" I asked him if he was the one that worked on my car he said no, I then asked to speak with the technician who did and he told me," no you can speak to me."he would not even give me the technicians name. I cannot believe that BMW would allow someone with poor customer service to work for them! I would never refer someone to the maintenance department or the sales department because of him! read more

We purchased our X5 in 2008...and at first I was leery of purchasing a BMW, we have had several luxury cars and while the cars have been great we have never had good service experiences. Our last car was actually a Denali purchased from a dealership in Tracy, and the service there was awesome. So, after I fell in love with the X5, I asked to speak to the Service Department, and interviewed them for quite some time. I made it clear that we were going to buy the car based on the Service Dept., and that if the Service Department did not live up to their end of the bargain then I would be extremely unhappy (and they would not want me unhappy)...I spoke with Steve Varni (who remembers clearly his "interview" that day!) and I want to update anyone thinking of purchasing a BMW from Valley BMW of what our experience has been like. IT HAS BEEN AMAZING!!!! Between Steve Varni and Roland N. we have been treated better than ANY previous luxury car purchase. I have been spoiled, actually, for any other dealership. Attention to detail, great customer service skills, and just plain kindness have been extended on every single occasion we have needed Service, whether the standard service or the occasional need for fixing something on the car. I am very thankful to the great service I have received (purchase and service), way beyond call of duty on part of the manager, and the great deal on my new car (and my trade in). Much improved and now amazing all the way around! My initial encounter in 2004 was disappointing. I ended up buying my next two cars from the bay area. I had my services at Valley BMW and slowly saw improvements. In 2014 I bought a new car at Valley BMW and I was so impressed that the next day I traded in my wife's car in and had a new one purchased for her. My parents also bought a new car the following week. In May 2015, My car was in an accident. Valley BMW manager waited for my car to be towed to the dealership, and I arrived at 7:30 at night. He had a cold bottle of water in hand waiting for me. Can't tell you how wonderful that felt! My car was repaired (body shop for body work and Valley BMW for electronics...). I was starting a trip to Yosemite when my car overheated and I had to call AAA for a tow. The tow truck took me to Valley BMW and I got great service. My service writer, Steve Varni was very kind, recommended a hotel and got one of his mechanics to stay late to assess my problem. Fortunately for me, it was a minor repair and I was on my way the next day. Steve even followed up with a check up call a few hours after I left. Went in for a scheduled Service appointment. All I needed to do is drop off my vehicle and leave. The receptionist was courteous and professional so two stars there. What is the point of scheduling an appointment if you're having patrons wait 30+ minutes. Ok sure things happen I get it, but have the common courtesy to excuse yourself to greet your next appointment that you're late for! Give people the wait times when they are scheduling so they can plan better. I backwards plan everything. Waiting 30* minutes before even getting started is ridiculous in my opinion. This may seem simple but if you're trying to conduct business allow yourself more time even with the scheduled appointment. I'll be taking my vehicle to the Bay Area dealers where I get the service I expect. By the way I've owned a BMW since 2004 and never experienced not talking to anyone is service for 30 minutes. I bought a 2015 BMW 320i rec'd my license plate-it was so tricky trying to figure out how to put the new one on..I called the service dept,(i can't remember the tech name) but he was so helpful he said just bring your car down i will help you. I did after work i was so impressed and happy that he took the time to change the new plates to my personalized one..i like that hometown feel..although it took him 5 minutes, it was the fact he went out of his way to help me..I will definitely have all my service needs done at this dealership...thanks so much..JM read more

I use to go to bmw in Pleasanton for my oil changes just because of the price and service. Then one day I decided to try Valley Bmw again, and found the price to be in the same ball park now. I met a young man by the the name of Steve with outstanding customer service skills and I felt he was very honest, that went a long way with me. On Saturday, I had my car towed in because my car needed a new starter. He was able to get me in and back on the road all on the same day. The price I paid was within reason, I was afraid to call the dealership for such an extensive service, but I am very please with the price that I received and also the peace of mine of having a genuine bmw starter. I will continue to use this BMW dealership for all of my service as long as the price is within reason And.... they keep Steve. read more

I am extremely disappointed in the way my lease end was handled. Between the salesman Anthony giving inaccurate information and the credit manager creating charges for a broken fog lamp. Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures for backup prior to getting to BMW it was his word against mine. They were unhappy I didn't lease again so they nickeled and dimed my return. If I could give this place a 0 Star rating, that's exactly what I'd give it.. Horrible service drive! Was promised verbally and on paper that my car would be done the next day at approximately 9am. Waited patiently to find out that the service advisor AND technician was "off" and couldn't take care of my car. 5 days later, I get my car back with an empty tank (was at half tank upon drop off). I dropped off my car for a full diagnostics and I didn't even get that. These "professionals" still don't know what's going on with my car and the advisor says in order for them to move forward, I'd need to pay an additional $4000 to move forward. The whole entire time when my car was in their possession, I was kept in the complete dark. No heads up, update, etc. I even called and left messages but nothing. Chris Sanchez, I'm calling him out. Horrible customer service, horrible advisor. The best part was I still had to pay almost $200 for NOTHING. No explanation at all. I paid $200 for them to basically keep my car for 5 days and leave me in the dark with no rental or anything. PLEASE STAY AWAY! If you guys need work on your BMWs, go to Central Valley AutoHaus! Took our 2003 BMW Z4 in for a Oil Change and Radiator leak to get fixed.. Chris in Service called me in the Afternoon to pick it up.. He sat me down and quoted me 296 for a oil change and Diagnostics test, plus additional 3,000 for a thermostats, seat belt retainer, fixed radiator and more.. we just got the car in August.. I payed for the 296 oil change and Diagnostics.. took it to Modesto Radiator Shop on 12th St.. they also did A Diagnostics and found out that the leak was caused by a kinked gasket or linked washer in the hose.. said my service light was on because of low water and gas cap not being tight.. they fixed my car for 192 dollars.. 192 DOLLARS... Valley BMW quoted me 675 alone for radiator leak... 192 compared to 675 and quote me 3,000 for other shit not wrong with my car.. Modesto Radiator told me very nice car... purrs like a kitty..Valley BMW you lost a customer if you treated me right..you tried to screw me... Thanks Modesto Radiator... read more

2 years ago when I was looking to buy, I stopped here to check out a used '03 I had my eye on. A salesperson named Paul greeted me, then stood there in silence while I walked around the car, opened the door and looked at the interior. This guy was such a douchebag. He didn't give me a presentation on the vehicle's features or even OFFER to OPEN THE DOOR for me! When I asked if I could take it for a test drive, he took my driver's license inside, and left me outside in the windy evening weather for almost 15 minutes. He returned keyless, only to ask when I was planning to buy (first mistake). I told him I would be making a decision in the coming few months so I was out doing research on the vehicles I was interested in. He asked where I worked, and when I told him I was actually employed at another dealership down the street, he said, "Oh it's only a matter of time before they cut you loose" (second mistake). Paul then said I better have $10k to put down on this car or I might as well stop wasting my time at their dealership (this car was $24k, mind you). He then handed my license back and told me to come back with my "mommy and daddy" (third, final, and most insulting strike). I have never been more offended in my life. I am aware that I look young, but I am a tax-paying, financially responsible ADULT. That man had no idea how hard I work or how much money I had in the bank. I would NEVER purchase a vehicle from a dealership that hires such sleazeballs. read more

Never ever, ever ever will come back here! I'll start by giving kudos to Roland and Russ in the service department for being nice and courteous throughout what started as an oil change and ended in a disaster. It all started off with me calling Tuesday before Christmas to try and squeeze in a quick oil change, I called and got connected with jesses voicemail, so I proceeded to leave a voicemail saying I would like to get an oil change. FOUR HOURS LATER I received a phone call back from Jesse giving me in detail what was going on with their service department blah blah blah... (I don't care!) he finally said he could squeeze me in at. 8:30 on Thursday morning, cool I get a quick oil change and be in and out in an hour...or so I thought. Good thing I didn't wait around for the next phone callor else I wouldn't be the happiest of people. So I received a phone call around 12:30 saying my oil was changed BUT (dun dun dun) there was a little problem.... ( ) when their care washer was (ahem) PRESSURE WASHING MY CAR they scratched off the paint on my bumper (no joke it looked like Freddie Kruger got to my poor bumper) Roland and Russ both said they would fix my bumper at no cost to me, all I would have to do is just bring it in on Monday and they would provide a loaner and everything. Another moment wher I thought, cool no biggie, now here's where it gets worse (this is all still going on Thursday by the way)...two blocks down the road my car started to shake back and fourth like I was in my own personal earthquake and of course! My check engine light comes on! Yay me! Not! So I called my insurance to get a tow (can't leave home without GEICO roadside!) the tow company took my car back to the dealer and instead of me taking my car in Monday I left that day with a loaner. Now here is (besides the bumper incident$ why I'm giving them a big fail! So I ran into Jesse when I went to pick up my car and he was RUDE AND NOT A PEOPLE PERSON! he rushed me out of there and acted like I didn't matter, I will never come back here nor recommend anyone to this dealership! read more

Great service department. I have always been met promptly and treated with courtesy. Typically repairs are done on schedule and if something comes up I have gotten a call informing me of the change and when to expect my vehicle. They were very helpful in getting cooperation from BMW-USA to take care of some issues even though my vehicle was past the warranty. Special kudos to Fred who I typically deal with, he has been great!! I have owned Acuras and Infinitis and so far this is the best service department I worked with. read more
