I live in Stockton and I have two choices to service my auto. I find Valley BMW dealership service is much better than Niello BMW of Elk Grove. The staff in Modesto was more knowledgeable and attenative than in Elk Grove. I turn my business to Valley BMW of Modesto than Niello because Niello carries so many different high line automobiles they forget about customer service after the sales and neglected services to BMW's. read more

We purchased our 3rd car at Valley BMW. My wife was not sure what she was looking for this time around. Anthony was very patient during the two days of driving several different cars and SUVs. Finally after the second day, she decided the car she wanted wasn't on the lot. Anthony searched the other dealers and got her the car she really wanted without any commitment to buy it. This guy put the work in to make us happy. Ryan has always been great to us and Russ and Steve in the service department have always taken care of us in the past. Also new to us was the BMW wizard Levi, who had the difficult task of teaching us how to use the equipment featured on our new car. I can't imagine how many patient this guy has to be. Looking forward to our new adventures in our new car. When your ready for a new car Anthony is the man. Thanks again!! read more

On 02/26/2018 I took the car in as it was running rough and displayed a message alluding to power train problem. I was told that if the problem was not covered under warranty, I would be charged for diagnosis. I got a call from Steve Varni recommending replacement of all 8 spark plugs that had 30,000+ miles on them. It turns out that they "thought" one of the plugs was bad. I authorized replacement of ONE bad spark plug if that would fix the problem. Next day I was told that problem remained after replacing the spark plug. The coil on the problematic cylinder was changed and that fixed the problem. When picking up the car I was told that I owed for the diagnosis, replacement of the spark plug and the warranty deductible for the coil replacement. If you have not figured out yet, warranty covered coil but not the spark plug. When I suggested that the "diagnosis" could have proceeded as swapping the coils between two cylinders and if fault appeared in both, the conclusion would be that both the spark plug, recommended to be replaced after 60,000 miles, and the coil were bad and the fix would be to replace the spark plug AND the coil, and so on. Steve Varni in a very sarcastic tone reminded me that I was not a "BMW certified mechanic". He was right but I am capable of thinking logically. I asked to talk to the manager who, after an extended diatribe, told me that I did not have to pay and to never bring my car to Valley BMW. I was so heartbroken that I decided to end my 9 year love affair, spanning two brand new and one CPO, with BMW. If you find the tone of my review to be nice, it is because I was not charged the warranty deductible that I rightfully owed. read more

We had the best experience working with Alexander here. We drove all the way from San Jose and were greeted the moment we arrived. He was honest, sincere and was not pushy as you would normally expect from a dealership salesman. I would highly recommend working with him if you're looking for a car at this dealership. Thanks Alexander!! read more

I had such a great experience with Valley BMW! My advisor Steve Varni was awesome, my car broke down (wouldn't stay started) he had us bring it in on a Saturday & they fixed it the same day!!!! I didn't even buy it here, wish I would of. Thank you Steve!!! read more

I can not say enough about their service department and especially Steve Varni. While traveling from San Francisco to Phoenix AZ I hit a pothole and bent my wheel and put a 4inch gash in my tire. We limped into the dealer on our run flat tire. Steve had two brand new tires and even located a new wheel which matched our other three wheels and they were all waiting for me when I got there. Steve got the car right in, loaned me a car so I could go have lunch. The car was ready when I got back from lunch and I was back on the road. Thank you very much Steve Julia Noland read more

These guys are an amazing team. Steve took care of my car service needs and I am impressed by the enthusiasm he showed towards the whole process Made everything so simple and easy that I would never go anywhere else. Even though I had bought this car from a different dealership I never felt like it was my first time being here.Everyone around this place seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Will always get my next BMWs from here read more

Thank you Valley BMW for the dedicated service. Staying late after hours (I arrived with the tow truck at 4:45) so I could get my flat tire repaired and continue with my short vacation back to the Central Valley was much appreciated. Really made me feel like family rather than just another customer. read more

We needed to upgrade our Lexus sedan to something bigger and better. At first we were thinking of a Lexus SUV but with my husband doing extensive research in the best equipped SUV, he found out that BMW came out on top with it's state of the art features. We became very interested in the X5 XDrive 35i not just for it's features but design inside and out. So now that we know exactly what we wanted time to shop! We ventured to BMW in Roseville where we live and the sales lady was rude and made us feel like we were a nuisance, apparently she forgot who the customer is. Then we went to BMW in Sacramento and they just couldn't work with us in getting a reasonable deal. Then we called BMW in Concord and Berkeley both dealerships sort of just wanted to sell what they have in stock and options we wanted seemed unreal or far fetched to them; one dealership sales rep said those options we wanted aren't available for the XDrive 35i which was a lie and the other dealership who put all of our options together came out with an astronomical price. Ugh! At this point shopping for the car of our dreams seems too frustrating and we started to lose hope. Then Valley BMW in Modesto came to our rescue. OSCAR the sales agent was quite possibly the most genuine sales guy out there. My husband told me we had to drive to Modesto and that Oscar is amazing and will work with us. I was skeptical because we have been jaded by so many sales reps but immediately upon my first interaction I felt this sort of genuine care we have not received from anyone else. He gave us his honest opinion when we asked for it and he even gave great advice in financing and insurance. He asked his upper management Ken for approval on certain extra features we requested and KEN further assisted us in making our dreams a reality. They did not make it a hassle for us, it was a seamless process. Our dream car in the m sport package SAV came together just in time to show case to our family for the New Year. Let's just say there were a lot of googly eyes in our household as well as on the streets! What a great way to ring in the new year all thanks to this dealership who was honest, efficient, professional, caring, and just AWESOME!!!! read more

Had a service scheduled last week. Steve in service was on his game that day for sure. Met me at my car 15 minutes before my appointment and had the paperwork processed and I was gone before my original appointment time. Loaner car was given. Excellent service all around. I bought my BMW here a few months ago, even though I'm in a different town. I had been searching for a particular model and they happened to have it. Alexander was amazing and I highly recommend you contact him if you are in the market. I had also gone to a Mercedes dealership in another town, and immediately rejected the idea due to the typical high pressure sales tactics which I can't stand. I actually still get calls from them two months later. Alexander on the other hand was extremely helpful, and was prepared to let me go think about my decision which I really appreciated. Luckily for both of us, this was the car I wanted and I bought the car that day. I do believe that BMW's tend to sell themselves, which takes the pressure off of both parties and also made me feel comfortable in my decision. Much better than having someone twist your arm into making a quick decision. Go see Alexander! read more

This dealership doesn't move enough units to make deals that make sense. Save your money, spend a little extra time, and go to a Bay Area dealership with a full lot. Trust me. They'll make deals because they want to move units and have the inventory to do so. Also, don't expect to be greeted properly or even shown a car when you walk in during slow times of the week. read more

I've lost count on how many cars we have purchased from Valley BMW now ... because we've been "coming back" for years now! From sales to service, they really know how to take care of customers. And if you're looking for a salesperson who will really take care of you, talk to Anthony. If he wasn't so good at what he does already, I would try to hire him! BTW their service department does a great job too. read more

We purchased our X5 in 2008...and at first I was leery of purchasing a BMW, we have had several luxury cars and while the cars have been great we have never had good service experiences. Our last car was actually a Denali purchased from a dealership in Tracy, and the service there was awesome. So, after I fell in love with the X5, I asked to speak to the Service Department, and interviewed them for quite some time. I made it clear that we were going to buy the car based on the Service Dept., and that if the Service Department did not live up to their end of the bargain then I would be extremely unhappy (and they would not want me unhappy)...I spoke with Steve Varni (who remembers clearly his "interview" that day!) and I want to update anyone thinking of purchasing a BMW from Valley BMW of what our experience has been like. IT HAS BEEN AMAZING!!!! Between Steve Varni and Roland N. we have been treated better than ANY previous luxury car purchase. I have been spoiled, actually, for any other dealership. Attention to detail, great customer service skills, and just plain kindness have been extended on every single occasion we have needed Service, whether the standard service or the occasional need for fixing something on the car. I cannot tell you who our salesman was, I believe he left for another dealership soon after we purchased our car, and my advice is to purchase a car on the level of their service department, and feel free to "interview" them like I did!! read more

This was by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. No games, no hard sell, we were in and out in 2 hours. Even though we were buying a used car for my son , Ford Fiesta, they treated us like we were buying a 60k new bmw. Our sales person was harbon (spelling?). He was very personable and honest. Great experience and we got a very good deal! read more

I am very thankful to the great service I have received (purchase and service), way beyond call of duty on part of the manager, and the great deal on my new car (and my trade in). Much improved and now amazing all the way around! My initial encounter in 2004 was disappointing. I ended up buying my next two cars from the bay area. I had my services at Valley BMW and slowly saw improvements. In 2014 I bought a new car at Valley BMW and I was so impressed that the next day I traded in my wife's car in and had a new one purchased for her. My parents also bought a new car the following week. In May 2015, My car was in an accident. Valley BMW manager waited for my car to be towed to the dealership, and I arrived at 7:30 at night. He had a cold bottle of water in hand waiting for me. Can't tell you how wonderful that felt! My car was repaired (body shop for body work and Valley BMW for electronics...). I chose not to keep the car. Valley BMW offered me 10% above what a big used car dealer offered AND gave a smoking hot deal on my new car! Thank you! read more

I was starting a trip to Yosemite when my car overheated and I had to call AAA for a tow. The tow truck took me to Valley BMW and I got great service. My service writer, Steve Varni was very kind, recommended a hotel and got one of his mechanics to stay late to assess my problem. Fortunately for me, it was a minor repair and I was on my way the next day. Steve even followed up with a check up call a few hours after I left. Kudo's also to Josh, who drove me to and from the hotel. If I lived in Modesto, this would be my shop. Thank you all for saving my vacation. read more

If I could I wouldn't even give 1 star! My husband took our car in for air bag recall replacement. He got down the street after picking it up and it started to overheat. I called and spoke with Russ in the service department who was an absolute asshole!! I told him the car was working completely fine until we took it there for the recall to be fixed. he stated,"the cooling system and the airbags are unrelated" I asked him if he was the one that worked on my car he said no, I then asked to speak with the technician who did and he told me," no you can speak to me."he would not even give me the technicians name. I cannot believe that BMW would allow someone with poor customer service to work for them! I would never refer someone to the maintenance department or the sales department because of him! read more

Thank you, Andy for your great customer service in selling my mom her first BMW. You treated us with respect and made the process painless. I feel like we got a fair deal in purchasing the 5 series with all of the specs my mom was looking for in a vehicle. But most of all, you made the experience worth coming back to Valley BMW. I'll be sure to ask for you when it's time for me to buy a new car in the near future. read more

Just want to say thank you to Valley BMW and Steve in the service department!!! I've had great experience for 10+ Years...

I am extremely disappointed in the way my lease end was handled. Between the salesman Anthony giving inaccurate information and the credit manager creating charges for a broken fog lamp. Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures for backup prior to getting to BMW it was his word against mine. They were unhappy I didn't lease again so they nickeled and dimed my return. Poor business management and horrible customer service. read more

I use to go to bmw in Pleasanton for my oil changes just because of the price and service. Then one day I decided to try Valley Bmw again, and found the price to be in the same ball park now. I met a young man by the the name of Steve with outstanding customer service skills and I felt he was very honest, that went a long way with me. On Saturday, I had my car towed in because my car needed a new starter. He was able to get me in and back on the road all on the same day. The price I paid was within reason, I was afraid to call the dealership for such an extensive service, but I am very please with the price that I received and also the peace of mine of having a genuine bmw starter. I will continue to use this BMW dealership for all of my service as long as the price is within reason And.... they keep Steve. read more

Steve Varni. One of the sweetest most caring service advisors at valley BMW. I was trying to figure our problems for my BMW before driving a long way and he was more than happy to help and then some. He ended up telling me information about my car I had no idea about! All in all, the only thing needed was to top my oil which he gladly did and came to check it after. 2 years ago when I was looking to buy, I stopped here to check out a used '03 I had my eye on. A salesperson named Paul greeted me, then stood there in silence while I walked around the car, opened the door and looked at the interior. This guy was such a douchebag. He didn't give me a presentation on the vehicle's features or even OFFER to OPEN THE DOOR for me! When I asked if I could take it for a test drive, he took my driver's license inside, and left me outside in the windy evening weather for almost 15 minutes. He returned keyless, only to ask when I was planning to buy (first mistake). I told him I would be making a decision in the coming few months so I was out doing research on the vehicles I was interested in. He asked where I worked, and when I told him I was actually employed at another dealership down the street, he said, "Oh it's only a matter of time before they cut you loose" (second mistake). Paul then said I better have $10k to put down on this car or I might as well stop wasting my time at their dealership (this car was $24k, mind you). He then handed my license back and told me to come back with my "mommy and daddy" (third, final, and most insulting strike). I have never been more offended in my life. I am aware that I look young, but I am a tax-paying, financially responsible ADULT. That man had no idea how hard I work or how much money I had in the bank. I would NEVER purchase a vehicle from a dealership that hires such sleazeballs. read more

Never ever, ever ever will come back here! I'll start by giving kudos to Roland and Russ in the service department for being nice and courteous throughout what started as an oil change and ended in a disaster. It all started off with me calling Tuesday before Christmas to try and squeeze in a quick oil change, I called and got connected with jesses voicemail, so I proceeded to leave a voicemail saying I would like to get an oil change. FOUR HOURS LATER I received a phone call back from Jesse giving me in detail what was going on with their service department blah blah blah... (I don't care!) he finally said he could squeeze me in at. 8:30 on Thursday morning, cool I get a quick oil change and be in and out in an hour...or so I thought. Good thing I didn't wait around for the next phone callor else I wouldn't be the happiest of people. So I received a phone call around 12:30 saying my oil was changed BUT (dun dun dun) there was a little problem.... ( ) when their care washer was (ahem) PRESSURE WASHING MY CAR they scratched off the paint on my bumper (no joke it looked like Freddie Kruger got to my poor bumper) Roland and Russ both said they would fix my bumper at no cost to me, all I would have to do is just bring it in on Monday and they would provide a loaner and everything. Another moment wher I thought, cool no biggie, now here's where it gets worse (this is all still going on Thursday by the way)...two blocks down the road my car started to shake back and fourth like I was in my own personal earthquake and of course! My check engine light comes on! Yay me! Not! So I called my insurance to get a tow (can't leave home without GEICO roadside!) the tow company took my car back to the dealer and instead of me taking my car in Monday I left that day with a loaner. Now here is (besides the bumper incident$ why I'm giving them a big fail! So I ran into Jesse when I went to pick up my car and he was RUDE AND NOT A PEOPLE PERSON! he rushed me out of there and acted like I didn't matter, I will never come back here nor recommend anyone to this dealership! read more

Great service department. I have always been met promptly and treated with courtesy. Typically repairs are done on schedule and if something comes up I have gotten a call informing me of the change and when to expect my vehicle. They were very helpful in getting cooperation from BMW-USA to take care of some issues even though my vehicle was past the warranty. Special kudos to Fred who I typically deal with, he has been great!! I have owned Acuras and Infinitis and so far this is the best service department I worked with. read more

Went in for a scheduled Service appointment. All I needed to do is drop off my vehicle and leave. The receptionist was courteous and professional so two stars there. What is the point of scheduling an appointment if you're having patrons wait 30+ minutes. Ok sure things happen I get it, but have the common courtesy to excuse yourself to greet your next appointment that you're late for! Give people the wait times when they are scheduling so they can plan better. I backwards plan everything. Waiting 30* minutes before even getting started is ridiculous in my opinion. This may seem simple but if you're trying to conduct business allow yourself more time even with the scheduled appointment. I'll be taking my vehicle to the Bay Area dealers where I get the service I expect. By the way I've owned a BMW since 2004 and never experienced not talking to anyone is service for 30 minutes. Totally frustrating thanks for wasting my time read more

Avoid this dealer at all costs. I was trying to negotiate the end of the lease purchase price. The salespeople (Ken) was such a scumbag that he tried to scare me to buy the car from him. He actually said "If you don't agree to pay this amount, I'll report you to BMW so you couldn't buy your car when your lease ends". What a loser. I wouldn't go to this dealer for anything. There are better dealerships and better people who you can have an intelligent conversation with. read more
