The customer parking was a bit off to the side in a rocky area but I'm guessing it's because they just have a massive amount of cars in their inventory When we talked to some of the staff we quickly were able to test drive a 2019 Subaru Outback that we were looking for which was awesome. They pulled it up for us and gave us a map that showed you where all you go for your test drive. The test drive is really just a giant circle around the block which has varying speed limits so it's a bit short but also just enough to get a feel for the car. I also appreciate that they don't feel the need to sit in the car with you so you can just focus on the test drive. We told them we were interested in the car but there were a weird issue where the window control panel on the driver side only was able to roll up/down the driver window but none of the others. They said they would immediately take It over to get it fixed and did just that. The prices are non-negotiable which we'd read online but the cars they have in their inventory are actually in really great condition. They all had brand new tires, cleaned thoroughly inside and out, and they repair any issues that previous owners didn't want to. They defintiely put time, money, and labor into each of the cars and when you compare across other dealerships, Robert's Auto cars are in better condition. When we were talking through the price they were immediately able to show us what the costs were out-the-door with the exact breakdown of fees which there are no "surprise fees". They only charged for what was required (title/taxes/registration) and THAT IS IT. We told them we'd come back with a cashiers check and did exactly that in 30 mins. We spent maybe an extra 25 mins to sign paper work and by that time the driver side window control panel was fixed and they had prepped/washed/polished the car inside and out which was awesome. In total we spent maybe 2 hours from when we first pulled in, to where we drove off with the car and I really appreciated how transparent and chill the staff was. Cons: My only incredibly minor complaint/observation was that none of the cars that I saw have floor mats. Which is more odd than anything. If I see I car I want there in the future, I would definitely drive the 4 hours back just because I know exactly what I'm going to get. I'd highly recommend their team! We're all human and miss things but the difference is that they're willing to pay out of pocket to get it fixed before you drive off and even give you 5 days to bring it back (I think) and a 30 day dealer warranty. If the car you want has CarPlay then make sure you bring a USB cable Here's a list of things I like to check: Lights: turn signals, hazards, high and low beams, fog lights Interior: speakers (check to make sure none of them are blown out), all seat controls on driver and passenger side. Make sure they can move forward/back/up/down/etc. Check seat heaters, check the AC works, check window wipers/+rear, check that all of the window controls on all of the doors, check the back up camera. When test driving: check the blind spot detection indicators Overall, 10/10 car dealership!

I'm a worrier and Casey was patient with me in addressing my concerns. That alone shows their commitment to customer satisfaction! I greatly appreciate finding a car that suits me and my needs here and recommend this to anyone who needs a used car. Sometimes the communication can be a little lacking though, which can be frustrating. Also the prices, they can't be beat for the quality of cars they have compared to a traditional dealership.

Despite buying two trucks from my local dealership, they were unable to deliver on inventory or price. After calling around, Gene was able to get the truck we wanted, at the price we wanted and we made the 1.5 hour drive to buy it. The whole transaction was smooth and i suggest anyone wanting a Chevy to reach out to our new friends at American Chevrolet.... its certainly worth the drive to Modesto from out of town! thank you!!!

He was polite and inquisitive which instantly put me at ease. Thru the entire Q&A that we peppered him with, he had answers and knew his business. Not to mention, just an all around good guy!! After the purchase was finalized, he took the time to explain EVERY inclusive button and setting. Financial: Ricky was just as kind and polite with all of our questions and explained ALL ASPECTS of how the financing worked and all of the options that were available to us. I especially appreciated, being new to EV technology and ownership, the time he took with warranty information. Being in a tough spot, with a car to trade that had been driven TO DEATH, trying to make a major purchase on 3 hours of sleep and being COMPLETELY out of my depth, the people at American Chevrolet made my experience of buying a new car exceptional!!

My husband was looking for a certain color combination and the sales manager, Kenny found one after several attempts to do dealer trades with uncooperative dealers in the valley finally was able to get the car we wanted. Luis was the one who showed us the car initially and explained Hyundai's no nonsense approach to car buying. We visited the dealership a few times and Luis always treated us with a great smile and attitude. When it was time to pick up the car Luis was out for the day but Mary helped us with our delivery. Mary was the nicest young gal and has a love for cars like no other young woman I've met. She had us test drive the car and demonstrated the ins and outs of the infotainment system and electronics of the car. She assisted us with all our paperwork which was a seamless process. I can't say enough about Mary, she was just so nice and bubbly and it's obvious she loves her job and people. The finance manager was also very friendly and efficient Kelly did offer us some extra warranties but was never pushy or anything. Usually when it's time to go see the finance manager you know that's where the hard sell is and the payment isn't gonna be what the other sales people told you. In our case that was not so. We got the exact payment and down payment we discussed and never felt any kind of pressure. In fact they didn't even want a deposit or credit report from us while they were doing the dealer trade. we left the dealership feeling like a part of the family. I was told that the knocking sound was most likely due to my negligence in oil changes, a bias imposed on me, despite getting my oil changes religiously every 3k miles (with documentation). Essentially, my car falls under warranty for a new engine when it has failed bearings. Despite the predisposed prejudice from the service desk, I requested to do a test drive with the mechanic (who was actually very kind). During the test drive he mentioned hearing the noise and validating my concerns, but mentioned Hyundai will not honor the warranty until my vehicle is in a more dangerous, failure to drive situation. Because I do my preventative oil maintenance and took my car in for the noise PRIOR TO possible engine failure, it is not bad enough to warrant a replacement. When I asked, what if this poses a safety risk between now and the "constant knocking" required for the warranty to be used? The question remained unanswered. Wow.

Since these two lots supposedly belong to the same people as the Volkswagen dealer, it will be convenient to return the car to the VW dealer and shop the two lots. I spent some time at the lot next to the VW/Hyundai dealer and no one came to see me. That's odd. I've been to car lots where I would only be halfway out of my car and someone would be there to greet me. In any case, prices are clearly marked. Some of the cars are previous rentals, so they should have had all scheduled maintenance. They list which cars were rentals on the web site but not on the price listing. The other lot, next to the Nissan and Dodge dealers is somewhat mixed with the new vehicles and it's a bit confusing what is used (excuse me, pre-owned) and what is new. On a previous visit, a salesperson was quite helpful. This time, a salesperson stared a me, as if to figure out whether I had money or not, and then, went about his business without a word to me. I really don't want to buy a car now, but the mess is forcing this. If the sales people don't want to bother, what incentive do I have to shop there?
