Brought in my drive shaft after taking it to a mechanic when I thought it was a rear wheel bearing, mechanic gave me a heads up and said if I was mechanically inclined I should save the labor and take it off myself, now to the review, 10/10 recommend them. My 1984 Chrysler Fifth Avenue needed new U-Joints and balancing. Brought it in thinking it would be refurbished, got a whole new one for $330.75!!!!! I was thrilled but still skeptical, slapped it on, and the car drives SO much better! Not that it didn't before, but now the car glides through the higher speeds and shifts, great customer service, gentleman at the front desk was polite, the lady that took measurements and communicated to me through the phone communicated to me the entire time and the hurdles and findings of my drive shaft and options. I wanted to do a 1 and done and went with their recommendations, I'm glad I did! Driveshaft took roughly 2 weeks to be done due to low staff. Car is a weekend car and a project I took on so I didn't mind the wait at all. I'll recommend these guys to anyone and any balancing and possible future machining will be my first stop! read more

These folks did an excellent diagnostic on the heavy vibration caused by the drive shaft on my 2004 Toyota Pick-up Truck. I spent thousands taking it to other places with horrible results. Owner Ken went to work immediately on removing the drive shaft and getting his excellent staff to balance it--all within two hours. Good clean work; reinstalled and I test drove before I had to pay for the job--nobody's ever done that! Extremely fair price; would recommend to everybody--and I'll make the four-hour round trip again any time I need to balance or rebuild the motor (probably my next big job). I was recommended this place by a family member, long story short I needed all u joints and carrier bearing they were all shot my 4x4 had 301 k on the original parts so it was time to get them replaced tried doing them myself and failed I only did the carrier bearing correct but messed up my driveshaft by putting the u joints in wrong and re installing it backwards so everything was out of phase I was getting very bad aggressive vibrations at 40 + mph so I decided to take my driveshaft here and they were very helpful and Got everything done and rebalance at a fair price they even take the time to paint it and put arrows so you can't mess it up highly recommended! read more

Had a motor rebuilt approx. 1.5 years ago, only has 22,000 miles on it and it developed a major oil leak coming from the timing chain cover. I took it to a local mechanic who said it should not be leaking there after only 22,000 miles and suggested getting a hold of Valley Balancing who rebuilt it to see if they could do anything. I went in twice to talk to the owner about the situation and left messages regarding the problem for him to call me back. It has been over a month now since I have been in there twice, and called, they have not even returned my phone calls. I realized the warranty was up but the mechanic suggested they should do something to cover some of the cost, even if it was just the cost of the gaskets... due to the fact it was over $1000 to repair. I would not recommend Valley Balancing; A call back would have been nice. read more

This used to be my favorite place to go for engine work. Had them build me a race engine back in the 80's and was a repeat customer ever since. Been several years since I've built any engines or project cars so my last transaction with them was early 90's. Planning to do another race engine so I hope the original owner is still there. Recently had a pair of heads inspected that were supposed to of been repaired and deemed good to go. However, Steve, Ken and crew found two cracks between the valves of one head, a bent exhaust valve, and an intake valve that was partially burnt to where it would not seat good. I can't tell you how frustrated I am over the other shops work. All I can say is that these guys did me right, and did an honest job with an honest description of what was going on with great communication. I highly recommend this shop and these guys! read more

I needed a driveshaft shortened and balanced for my Bronco. I looked at a few reviews in the area and decided on Valley Balancing. The folks I talked to were very knowledgeable and knew exactly what I was talking about when I told them my needs. After I dropped off my driveshaft, they called me and asked if I wanted my u-joints replaced as well. I would never pay someone else to replace u-joints since I am perfectly capable of doing that! But the additional cost was extremely reasonable so I told them to go ahead. Turn around time was only one day and the work was top notch.
